honestly the romance is okay but what kept me watching is zhizhi’s struggle with his mental health. it’s quite realistic and i could personally empathise with him. he’s tired but had to put on a brave face facing his loved ones in order not to worry them. and i understand his struggle on not communicating with the fl regarding his diagnoses and condition. it feels raw to share it with others and while now, i could openly admit to having them, it took me a long time, with a lot of very low lows before i was able to even admit it. and even now, i find it hard to share it with my family. i have had pretty low lows that i still wont share with anyone else about bcs of how bad that was, and especially with how society still view mental health issues as taboos, it’s hard to mention your diagnoses, especially when it have had bad stereotypes from medias.
i really hope they wont pull the villainous lead softening bcs justitia is perfect as she is right now. i dont want ger to have a redeeming arc whatsoever.
something happened to li si. they never even gotten to any ambiguity before his disappearance and death. like the bibe between them remained childhood bestfriend
yaya and shanqing got married but their romance also wasnt shown in the drama, not more than the ambiguity that was present from the beiginning
they got married, xiao zi was officially adopted by their family (i dont think she even know she’s adopted as she called her sister shanqing sister-in-law)
