I am afraid of the next week , it’s going to be real turbulent, and then again a long break until next episodes;…
Of course. The drama just got started. First half was a bit tame for me but second half looks to be more exciting. The struggle, heartache, anguish, etc. Bring it on. ^-^
Although I find it interesting how she works in a news agency but never heard a wind of his father's passing.…
I rewatch these last two episodes. From the prospective of ML I understand why Shangqi didnt tell her. The first when his father was in the hospital he didn't tell her is because she's already in WuSu. He being the person he is doesn't want to force her hand out of worry to his father and stay with him. She already made it clear to him she wants to stay in WuSu. After his father's death it became another issue. She might become another target he cannot protect. As he said at this moment he cannot give her what she wants, give up everything in HuPu to live in WuSu. There's also his sense of guilt and responsibility after his father's death, only shortly after the family reunite. Not to mention his suspicion of Zhao related to his father's death. There's too many things for him to also coax FL.
Xiao Shangqi showed his hand too early in the game with Zhao. I hope with this defeat he's learned his lesson. Now let's see how the Xiao brothers can overcome this crisis.
I wonder what kind of grudge Zhao has with Xiao Shangqi that made him fear him. We know that father Xiao and father Zhao compared their sons and Zhao came short, especially compare to the younger Xiao Shangqi. But this sounds petty. I wonder what else can be a long lasting fear for one person from childhood to adulthood. Xiao Shangqi seems to be a long term obsession of Zhao. Zhao stole Fei'er because Xiao Shangqi is interested in her. Kept tap on him while he was in WuSu and even tried to sabotage Jifeng. And, emphasized twice to father Xiao for Shangqi to kneel down to apologize to him. Does he have something to do with Shangqi and his brother's accident when they were young? And, now a suspect of father Xiao's death. This is getting interesting.

That's true. But her being a reporter, especially her wanting to be a war correspondent, doesn't align well with her avoidance personality. It seems a little contradictory. This can also be a character defect, lack of self confidence. She has an instinct to investigate other people and events but when it comes to ML none. Looking forward to how both ML and FL will mature in the second half.

Huh? How close are the leads? This news doesn't have to hit the stand. She can find out other ways if she's keen, her being a field reporter and all. It seems her reporter instinct doesn't sense anything related to Shangqi. I would think because of who she is she should be able to get to the bottom of things instead of avoiding it, out of side out of mind. But then again, Shangqi and his brother suppressed the news from getting out to give some time to stabilize their company. I just thought it weird.
I think it’s the issue with how the ML lead treats FL. First he left her in high school with a broken heart,…
No, I disagree. He does not need to redeem himself. He just needs to mature. I think he is almost too perfect up to this point. Now, I'm glad to see Xiao Shangqi is not too perfect so have room to develop, otherwise this drama will have ended at most 10 episodes. His only shortcoming seems to be lack of communication with people (although based on his childhood it is a habit hard to break, it's a trial and error for him). He has great potential it would be a shame to waste that in WuSu. Plus, all the foreshadows and hints at the beginning will be a huge disappointment, not to mention plot hole. I look forward to him and his brother's battle with Zhao. How he will overcome this obstacle. I like a career minded lead. He's been having too much fun and an easy life in WuSu that I'm glad he's finally in the battle where he can shine.

Unless they were in a relationship in high-school you cannot put the blame on ML's head. He is clueless. And we see how 2FL manipulated him so he was blocked by FL and then she ran away to another city. He wants to play white knight to FL like he was with 2FL. That is his character's shortcoming. We'll see how his character develops in the second half.
I agree with you mostly. I agree with everything you said about Xiao Ran and Shag Qi and even Zhao, but not about…
Fei'er is still consider their friend. He can leave her there on the ground with cameras pointing at her face and head to FL. Instead, he helped her. It may not look good but in heat of the moment, getting the bride in all her glory out is first priority. There is a behind the scenes where ML and FL connect eyes before he left with 2FL, it seems it was cut. Also, FL's friend even said helping 2FL has become a habit for both the lead. People cannot break that habit. FL can slapped 2FL but she didn't, so what does that say about the three's relationship. This triangle is near or at its conclusion. Take it as a last goodwill for her.
I'm baffled by some people. If the situation is reverse and you can still react the same, then I'm speechless. No matter what, family love is the purest form of love. There are many forms of love. Love is not just romantic love. There's family love, friendship, etc. Romance shouldn't take center stage in any and all situations. Also, as a viewer you have God's perspective...

The trouble is that this is a love story. The leads will end up together. If in this crisis, even after constant reassurances from ML FL is still insecure then yeah, it's time for a break. If it's fated they will get together (again, it's a love drama, so they will end up together regardless) then all these heartaches and misunderstanding will make the two mature, in their relationship and career.

I have to disagree. At this time, both deserve a little break from each other. ML to deal with Zhao, his family and business. He has a lot on his plate. He's probably being protective based on what happened to his father. He is also grieving, which I can understand as I've gone through a couple similar phases. While FL needs to build some confidence and trust. She ran away a lot. Since she has a good opportunity to work in the big radio station in Shanghai, even if the relationship went sour, she shouldn't have given up on that. She's not the career minded I thought, or she thought is she.
ML was never with 2FL. It was mainly from FL's perception that ML/2FL. If you watched the drama it is misunderstanding from FL's end. 2FL orchestrated the whole thing. ML has no clue he was supposed to be with 2FL. And many other things. Drama is great so far. Looking forward to how everything will unfold; ML's family, business and of course the leads' relationship.
Someone needs to change the description of this drama. It is misleading. The current description is from the original novel, not the adapted drama. Drama is much better and is anti-routine. I have to say the trailers are misleading as well.
Ive just started watching this. Im on episode 3. I think the ML is behaving like an arsehole. The FL seems quite…
The description is from the novel. The drama is different. ML has his side of the story, you're getting FL's side so far. Watch a couple more episodes, if it's not to your taste then drop it. It wouldn't hurt. Maybe just a couple hours of your time.
