I feel that Manami is quite aware of his games as Kaoru yet goes along with it anyways because she genuinely cares for him as a person. Like attracts like, does it not? Both are really lonely individuals and both are aware of that. I feel she sorta feels grateful towards him for reigniting her zest for life by inadvertently making her enthusiastic about teaching. Moreover, she also realises that he is in essence a good person.
