That's what's interesting. Not every OTT drama is able to pull off the absolutely ridiculous elements that it needs to. For me to suspend my disbelief, you have to do a good job to the extent that I forget to think and stop to ponder over the silliness of it all. And this drama is able to do so in spades.

There are some things that are so similar, no matter which country's entertainment industry it is. Sometimes, fan service feels a little too intrusive for the person for whom the fan meet is organised. Actually, I intensely dislike fan service performances that somehow seem like fans are taking away the agency of the artist. I mean sometimes it is all in good fun, but, nowadays, fan service is getting more and more bizarre to the extent that fans seem to have a say just because they are the ones propping up the entire fandom.
I guess, had he refused, then people would have been up in arms about success having gone to his head. He really should start being a teeny bit indifferent. I know exactly what I am suggesting. I guess I just don't want celebrities whose work I admire to be too deferential to fans. He DOES NOT look too happy doing this. Fans and organisers ought to remember that this is a grown adult. To be honest, the extent to which sometimes South East Asian stars are infantalised is ridiculous. In the West, we have the exact opposite problem of children and teenagers being sexualised.

I am a fan of both. I am aware Hyeri gets a bad rap, but she has been really good in all her shows that I have watched. I find her acting very grounded and she's not afraid to look imperfect on camera. This is coming from someone who doesn't care about KPop at all.

Dang, for something that was supposed to disappear without a trace, the LR cast and crew put in a humongous amount of genuine effort to execute everything so well. I think it also helped that they were not obligated to follow KDrama "rules" and could just do things the way they envisioned them.
