omg I think you should definitely give this another chance! I will be honest with you - it's not a rewatch worthy show for me but I watched it about 4 years ago and I still remember it till this day so it had to have been good. I do agree that the pacing is a bit boring and yawning but it starts to pick up in the middle and I feel like it's a show you just have to sit and binge to really like it. We all have our own tastes though so this could just not be your cup of tea. If you don't mind me asking, what is your top 1 bl?

I couldn’t agree more. This is so true and it definitely sheds light on the more serious and often ignored topics in Korea. There is even a tendency to romanticize or glorify the country because of how kdramas often feature it as if it’s a fairytale in romcoms and all but this show definitely lays out all the flaws and I really like that.

Someone recommended this to me a few days ago and I started watching it. I loved the first episode - it actually made me laugh out loud like a comedy drama is supposed to do but then from there on I just witnessed it go downhill in my opinion. After episode 10 I told myself I have had enough. I’m not a fan of the brother/sister trope in general because I feel like it is border lining incest but I was interested to see how the show would make it work. Not only did I get bored watching it but the melodrama!!! The melodrama is not my cup of tea! I thought this might be a bit more like Reply 1988 with a goofy female lead and her male companions just living their teenage years while living in different family dynamics but this was not that. So I completely relate to this review and I just realized that if I don’t like it then I do not need to force myself to watch any more of it.

I am rewatching and all I have to say is - misunderstanding final boss.

literally same! I came here to get an opinion on the Princess Royal because I started watching this after Amidst a Snowstorm of love which I thoroughly enjoyed btw but I don’t really like this trope of marriage of convenience so I don’t know how long this is going to last me (I’m currently on episode 4).

Also, have you watched Love like the Galaxy? I’ve heard it’s good and I was considering starting that.

Okay so now that I have finished watching I can tell you that it has a bittersweet ending. I feel like it is very angsty and sad but if you're interested in that then you might enjoy this. I didn't really like it towards the end because I feel like it was a bit redundant and annoying to be honest but that's just my take!

I’m still watching so I can’t answer that well but:
1. IT TAKES AGES (33 episodes in and they’re still not together but the yearning is interesting)
2. No breakups but miscommunication and misunderstanding
3. I feel like there is a love triangle and it’s so 😭 it gives me anguish is all I can say (but I may be biased)
4. Not sure
5. This is romantic in some parts but I feel like it’s a really difficult and complicated love story.
6. There has only been one kiss scene and they still didn’t get together after that.

I’ve watched it this far because I got invested in the beginning so I can’t really say it’s worth it but I really want to know what happens in the end so I’ll try to finish it even though it’s lowkey annoying me right now. The cinematography and sets are sooo soo good though! And the costume design/makeup made me watch it this far😭

of course!! have you watched my school president (thai bl). It’s not as much of an enemies to lovers but I think it’s a slow burn and it’s a very sweet bl. For enemies to lovers, semantic error (korean bl) is a good one but let me know which one you end up watching!!

love in the big city was so so brilliant! Probably the only bl that has managed to make me cry :') Korean productions just know how to hit you in the feels! I've also watched semantic era and I loved it but I still have to watch the eighth sense - is it good? I've heard it's a bit sad.

was it just me that thought this had 12 episodes so I freaked out watching the 12th episode, thinking it was the last one??

Currently on episode 4 so I am going to share my thoughts here -

This is so so captivating! I like how it's easy to watch but not to the extent that it bores you but rather that it reels you in. The relationships are so complex and dynamic and well-written and it makes me so happy to see a show of such good quality coming out of GMMTV! They have done a really good job with this series and it is so worth the watch so far.
