this is one of my all time favourite movies. I have literally watched it 4 times lol. So I am looking very forward to the drama version of it: I have high expectations for it and I wish the contestants all the best~~~
This is actually thE mSt hilarious review I have ever read in my life. I havenāt even watched a single episode of this drama (Iāve only watched the trailer) but I believe you because that storyline sum up was on freaking point. Wow!
I just finished watching 14 episodes of Scarlet Heart - I have no idea how I got that far but this review was so refreshing to read. I really hoped I could have read this review earlier because I completely agree with everything you have to say. The character development was sO weak and I feel like the supporting characters got more screen time than the main leads. Besides, every time the main leads met I just wanted to scream because it was so frustrating. The writers could have done soooo much more better. The plot of this drama is good for like the first 4 episodes and then after that everything just goes to waste. Its literally as you said, the writers knew the beginning and the ending but just bullshitted their way through the in betweens.
thank you for saying this! The show was starting to grow on me and then they dropped these desi stereotypes in an offensive manner and that kind of just ruined it for me ngl.
I also finished watching it just now. I really enjoyed it to be honest. If there is any confusion that I could…
No, he did not die in the end. I think the ending was just a cliffhanger ending but he goes back to that strange world to return the money that the old man gave back to him. And the thing about the monster being him - everything was just a dream.
He was imagining everything and the significance of the monster being him was that it acted as a metaphor. The monster that turned out to be him and he was trying to kill himself in his dreams so that he could stop himself from making a big mistake of stealing different items and bringing them back to the real world. The monster basically acted as his inner-conscience that knows stealing is wrong which is why the monster was trying to prevent the main character from stealing by killing him in his dreams. I think the fact that everything turned out to be a dream could perhaps mean that the main character did indeed suffer from schizophrenia and all of those supernatural things were just made up in his head. Overall its a movie that requires you to use your imagination to figure things out and make theories for yourself I guess.
I've just finished watching this movie and I'm not sure how to feel about it.I'm confused but... entertained....…

Bo Wang deserves happiness. Why does he have to bear everything on his shoulders ? Last episodes have been too…
Thank you! Thatās exactly what I was thinking - he has just been placed in a helpless situation where he was under Chu Kuiās control and manipulation and when he discovers the truth he blames himself...its just so sad- I got really upset when watching those slavery scenes :/
