I also agree! I think it is not that bad considering the situation. He was just looking at it from a business perspective. In this sense, his move to marry XY was really the best! It just turned out this way but he is not trying to destroy her either. He "just " want control over her and to use her, but not like a revanche tool, this is just how he know how to do things. When XY mentioned how HC is seeking for attention, he did not realised it but he tried a bit after.

In one episode the older ladies are also talking about how much some of them are helping their partner by chatting and going to buffet dinner event Fang Lei admit Yu Xan is good at this. From the ML perspective, he had the perfect match, he picked a perfect candidate! but indeed it is only layer of lies but the way he is treating her after the reveal is painful

Honestly I purchase the Express (and also the VIP lol) cause I was impatient but also I wanted to at least support that episode today I hope they keep the drama at a good pace and direction

It is indeed a good observation. Also she insisted and did not used his money and sold the car. He told her you should have asked me money so he is seeing himself as this transactional partner! I am just curious to find out what would be the reason he need her again. Cause on the episodes it seems she spend time being back to a "normal" less privilege life.

I thought about it as it is a typical drama trope, but I have not seen any comment on that about the novel

I really like that they kept showing how the relationship is transactional with XY. Every time she managed to do something that ultimately benefited him, he would reward her. She even mentioned it ... So when it will come to the divorce, I think it might be that he realised he need her again and will try to find a way to get her back first because he does not have the soft skills she has, but in the process of trying to get her back for his benefice there the lines might get blurred for him. Just curious about this next era!

I get this but like the fact that he is good looking but not like crazy good looking. He could really be like the person he is suppose to be in the drama, if he looked too perfect it would have removed something I believe to the more mature side

I am crying so much at episode 5, the situation with her grandma is so heartbreaking, all of the love but also all of her struggle her grandma is the only one who is there for her no matter her choice

yes also when the younger younger cried! And I also felt her emotion when the director was explaining that she got rejected as a host

When the "cousin" just arrived and he is just there ! ahha yes the fact that he knows so much about what's going on in her workplace should have alerted her if she is lying about her background

So I LOVED the background story.

Everything makes sense and what she does:
- Her resilience against the mother in law: well her parent treated her poorly so that's nothing if we compare. She is used to over compensates.
- Showing the person what they can benefit from collaborating with her is perfect. However it is sad to see that this is a coping mechanism for her. She is really used to this.
- She is somehow still very nice to other which I hope is the real her. I suppose her relationship with her grand mother is the only sane one. I fear she might not see her grandmother again ...
- I completely understand also for her sister. It is not against her but you feel wronged by your parent and you wanted a bit of what your sister had. Of course when you finally free yourself, you just don't want to deal with them anymore even if the sis did not do anything wrong per se (or at least from what we know)

I really like the background story. They really show how she is used to endure the pain and the rejection from her parent as her grand mother told her to do her best. So of course when your parent in law are rejecting you this is NOTHING compared to your own parent! So it makes sense about her resilience and I genuinely think she is not trying to use the guy for the money. Of course the guy has his motive based on the synopsis but it feel like they just like each other but they have their own agenda!

Now I've watched till episode 4, I support all of the lies... that behaviour toward your own kid its crazy

OMG I am in love !! I love Lusi character!! She is giving me so much ideas on how to step up my game. Honestly apart from the lying on the parent, the rest are pretty much fine and I also think it did make sense for her to lie!!

I know right, I was extremely surprised I had to stop the video but to actually enjoy the feeling! Finally a drama where the main ML discover early. I mean I have seen other that discover early but this was early early! Love that

I am kind of happy there is no reincarnation, kind of getting tired of this. I have not read the novel but for me it would be a turn off it was again reincarnation. I can however images it might not the deal the people who read the novel expected

I have watched Blossom and The Prisoner of Beauty, so I see again her character there. I agree there she is quite fitting, maybe it is just in this costume drama, her look did not jump to my face the same way on those two drama but here maybe it is the make up?
