I will miss this show a lot, it had its flaws but so far this year this is the best Costume C-drama I watched, and maybe since a long time. I loved the strong female lead and the open communication between leads. Kind of into those type of super military powerful men and trying to save themselves or their family trope. Love like the galaxy gave me the same vibe, I will be looking out for more similar shows! Those provide a good amount of everything!

What actually happen in the novel? I also read some sick stuff like the emperor drugging and raping Hua Zhi or something like that. I could not find how he died in the novel itself.

The saddest moment for me was really when Hua Zhi comes back home and throw all of the money on the floor and she said "Why did I have to meet you?". This was so sad I really cried, knowing how much she loved Yanxi and also how important saving her family is for her, it is like a curse! Glad it did not last, she was back to her usual just after she woke up but it was like a moment of true saddest and vulnerability

I just saw a video of Miura. I discovered him with 14 sai no haha, loved him since then. When he died, I could not even watch anything with him inside, I think I still can't watch a full movie or drama with him but I keep a vivid image of him. I will still come back and hope to one day want to watch some of his other work. This is crazy, this happened almost 4 years ago, but the memory of him has not fade away. This hit hard, even if you are feeling low, someone will think about you if you are gone so keep the flame on...

I really loved this part indeed, once his father said that, it is the moment he knew: he is not like his father and he know someone could love him for who he is. I remember when Hua Zhi was willing to (financially) take care of him. She did not care whether he had money or not, so he knows she likes him for him.
