Okay we are talking across each other here cuz everything you are saying "there was no point to insinuate romance, so why was bumseok jealous, he shouldn't have been jealous" is exactly the point the drama was making lol the point is that he didn't have a reason that's why he says at the end he didn't know why he did what he did, cuz it was his experience with abuse and a bunch of factors that just culminated to him becoming violent. she wasn't the breaking point either like it wasn't any one thing it was a domino effect. now I would agree she could've had more a story of her own (then everyone would complain even more about her character being here 😐) but it's not right to say she is useless to the story. when we see bumseok attaching all his feelings of anger on her we better understand that there is no good reason for what he does it's just being in an environment of senseless violence like all the other boys so the cycle goes on and on

It's kind of flimsy because that isn't what happened in the show, and you described what it is that happened next in what you were saying. Exactly right that he was not really simply jealous of her but was just nastily projecting his huge insecurity onto her when aside from being rude she really did nothing to him and was not a threat. So her being there does progress the plot and shows how the victimization process continues cuz a boy who was pissed at the world got mad at a girl and now she has to deal with consequences too of his violence. I think the show could've showed it even more but it also shows how girls get caught up in men's toxic masculinity games. I think it is silly to say she plays no role in the show, why is everyone singling her out when you could say the same thing about the other dude bullies or the guy who sold the drug patch, they all just played a small role in the insurmountable mountain you speak of, they all played a little part including her

google 'dutch angle' it's basically when the shot is tilted at an angle. it is constantly used in this show like every other shot, trust me once you notice you won't stop noticing 😂

there are many good kdrama on here with pretty low ratings but naturally if you only know of the popular ones which get high ratings due to being loved it seems like they are all rated high

it's always like this, I have noticed even very quality bl kdrama (and jdrama too actually) never get rated very high on here. and (not to start sh!t) but meanwhile dramas from a certain other industry that continue to be mediocre af get eaten up no matter how boring or badly written lol
