Why is nobody talking about Yeong Rye winning Miss Seoul? The drama didn’t even show us how she won it. I can’t bring myself to believe that she won that competition. She has such a specific way of walking and talking. She stutters even when talking to Jae Pil, wears a question mark on her face, lacks visible confidence, blinks rapidly under pressure. Now, this does not diminish the character or I am not saying that she’s a bad person for having those traits. These traits just make her more human. But at the same time, these bring a disadvantage in pageant competitions. Pageants have a standard that’s very high.
This drama tried to explain how other contestants are “artificially polished” and how she is more “natural” so she should go for it. But I don’t buy that.
Perhaps, the writers and team thought it will not be convincing enough for them to be able to present Yeong Rye as a winner, so they skipped all of that and directly announced the winners.
Again, I am making it very clear that Yeong Rye doesn’t become a bad person for those traits or she doesn’t deserve anything because of all of those things or that Jong Hui should’ve automatically become Miss Seoul.
I am just not convinced that she became Miss Seoul. I need to see the evidence.
Despite that fact that JH always has stuff going south, she’s a really well written character. JH is really self aware. I can’t pick sides among the girls, but my heart aches for JH so much. JH already knows where she lacks, and she tries to understand what others are going through.
I hate that the writer seems to have some grudge with her. He’s given her the knowledge to understand, the brains to make a judgment, but not the situations to live a good life.
in ep 2 they mentioned they need diploma to enter miss korea, then they scrapped the whole late night school,…
I know Jong Hui later got her education through her mother or something like that with all the horse riding stuff. But I don’t know when Yeong Rye received her diploma. Maybe she continued going to the school after JH left and got her diploma.
Love that everyone hates JP and wants YR to break up with him yet she's never given you, the audience, any reason…
I am hardcore team Oppas. But if she’s so happy with him, the way we saw in ep 11, then let her be. Jae Pil or Hyeon aren’t trophies anyway. Jae Pil and Yeong Rye will be together forever if they’re meant to be, if they’ll be happy together. If not, they’ll break off eventually and find their own ways.
Did Han Hyo Ju already know Japanese before getting into this show or did she learn it for this show? I am so amazed and impressed by her Japanese. She gets the pitch accent correctly and almost sounds like a native.
Wow, this was good. There’s a very particular background music in this movie. Throughout the movie, it looks like it’s just background music. But towards the end, they reveal that the music actually came from a drama being performed by artists that were performing this entire movie.
I didn’t like all the weird skinship, but that’s most probably because of the changed times.

Immediately reminds me of that famous reel of a person saying they like apples and everybody comes and says oh you must hate waffles.
