This is what defines an excellent soul touching drama!! For the first time I felt bad that they didn't stick to the usual Kdrama format of 16 ep !! Everything was perfect!! Song Kang is a revelation...Beauty with talent!! Now that's a rare combo! Park in Hwan was just perfect!!! A solid 10/10

Watch it purely for the excellent bromance!! Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin's bro chemistry is on fire!!!

I have not seen anything so infuriating and addictive at the same time..this show gave me anxiety and I'm loving it!! 🤣

Prison Playbook is another show that I'm on the fence about..I have seen positive and negative comments about it on mdl so bit confused!!

This series was great in the first 3 quarters..this has been my constant complaint with a lot of Kdramas that they stretch the plot way too much just for the sake of making it to 16 ep or so...the result is that the plot loses its effectiveness and the few scenes which are actually very endearing and emotional are marred down by a lot of filler scenes here and there resulting in the viewer losing their patience towards the end!!!
Still a good watch!! A decent story made much more memorable by Lee Do Hyun's brilliant performance!!! He is exceptional!! Can't wait to see him in future projects!

Exactly my point!! I just finished watching it and this is my one complaint with the show that the plot which in itself is decent is just made ineffective by stretching it way more than required!! Towards the end I found myself just disinterested and was only watching it for the sake of Lee Do Hyun's terrific performance!!!

Hi!! Just finished posting a reply to your comment in 1988 section...seeing I'm also in awe of Bo Gum after 1988, is this series worth watching?

I started watching 1997 and frankly I'm getting none of the vibes I got from 88... I'm not saying it's bad but the only reason I'm watching it is because I want to feel how i felt watching 88..is that going to happen or should I drop it?

Frankly, I have watched quite a few dramas after reply 1988 and none of them have been able to replace the place that this drama has in my heart!! It's just so heartwarming!!There were scenes where I was roaring with laughter and then again scenes where I was sobbing like a baby!! This show took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved every second of it!! Initially I was scared thinking that shit the episodes are around 2 hours and 20 in number but there were times where I watched 2 episodes back to back without once checking the time left!!! Taek made me fall for the delight that is Park Bo Gum!!

This is by far one of the best acted dramas I have ever seen!! The performances are top notch and they raise the already gripping plot to new heights!! The chemistry between the main leads is insane!! I was on the edge throughout the runtime of the series!! There is not a single fault I can mention!! Why this show doesn't have a rating of more than 9 is beyond me!! Perfection!

Lee Do Hyun is the perfect example of what makes a great actor...he has got d looks, he has got the charisma and most importantly he has got phenomenal acting prowess!!!

I have a love/hate relation with this show..7 episodes in, I really love it when the plot focuses on the relationship aspects of the protagonist and his family..there are beautiful heart touching scenes when the plot is just about them..but the scenes where the show focuses on the sub plots is where it loses it's steam..the sub plot related to the media house politics and the teachers romance with the gaming dude etc. just feel out of place..but the show overcomes all these shortcomings thanks to the brilliant performance of Lee do Hyun as the main protagonist!!! there is an endearing charm he brings to the character which makes us root for him!!! totally watching it for Lee Do Hyun!!

Having seen your comments at other places I know you watch romantic shows with happy endings!! I also am very much interested in it...can you please tell me a few out n out romantic shows with nice plot and great chemistry!! I'm definitely going to watch this one but other than this?

The way I thought that nothing will be able to top flower of evil but this one is on its way for me!!!

Ok 5 episodes in!! Let me tell you something! Even if they fuck this up from here till the end I would still give it a 10/10...that's how perfect this show is till now!! Those 2 MLs have more chemistry than a lot of actual couples in dramas!!!
