okay since I have been defending this show since god knows when, I welcome people like you who present views which…
I appreciate you atleast accepting that the direction and acting were top notch...as for JW lets leave that to our own discretions as I will not agree with what u have to say for JW and will present my own arguments for JWs behavior being completely in line with S1 character...and I have already done that a lot so I don't want to repeat it anymore...the last part of ur comment was funny and I appreciate ur humor even if it was dripping with sarcasm..seeing that u have commented about Blueming..another one of my absolute fav show, maybe we can find some common ground there ...😊

to be frank I don't have issues with people not getting on board with the characters or the story or the overall sombre theme ..everyone has different taste...there are a lot of very well made shows and movies which i have seen and not liked but still admired for their technicality ..but i do not go around saying i did not like the movie or series coz it's not well made... to justify ones dislike by saying the writing was not good or direction was inadequate or chatracters were not etched properly or things were not explained is what I have a problem with ..yes things were not spoon fed and a lot was left for the viewers ( who the director thought were intelligent enough) to figure out themselves instead of characters giving blatant expositions that I did this for so and so reason...the deliberate subtlety and intellect of the drama being criticized as inadequacy by people just to give a reason for them not liking it is my main issue...
Yes exactly like the last episode was cute but the fact we went through those 9 episodes of just pain and arguing…
personally i like it when not everything is blatantly put out in expositions and a more subtle approach is taken to hint at things that are then left for the viewers to understand on their own but yes i can see why it would be frustrating for a lot of people...as for Jiwoo working out his problems , that was the whole conflict of the show i.e. jiwoo's character...that he was someone who was very inexpressive and kept everything bottled up and hidden inside..this was his character right from s1 and I'm glad the second season stayed faithful to the character from 1st season...JW is not only an introvert but also a very uncompromising stubborn person who doesn't give in easily ( which is referenced multiple times in the show one example being him not changing the restaurant name even when suggested by multiple ppl) and also he does not like to talk out his issues...he accepts that himself that this was his problem..so we can't expect a character having such qualities to work out their issues by communicating ...also he saw that he actually had nothing to complain about ..he knew that SJ is not doing anything wrong and if he still complains about things that he is feeling because of SJ even if unintentionally, he will come off as petty ..also he had this belief that SJ does not love him as much as he loves him coz he mentions that for me one year of staying with SJ was enough to last me a lifetime and that he will never forget that but for SJ he will forget JW soon and move on ..so it's because of all these insecurities and also his personal traits that we do not see him trying to work out and choose the easier path of running away from the suffocation he was feeling ...
I just watched the BL cut since the remaining drama didn't look that promising to me...and what can I say...Mark and Owen have my heart..so does Joanna ..they make the most perfect family together...it was so refreshing to see a bisexual character (which i'm assuming Mark is) who though started on a little homophobic tone but was so sure of his feelings once he had them and also acted on them instead of being confused like for an eternity and then realizing towards the end what was inevitable...and i liked how a strong independent woman was depicted without her being insensitive, annoying or toxic...this is how u write a woman character...
tonight is my planned nth re-watch of this amazingggggg show....i forgot count of how many times I have rewatched this...i guess im never getting over it
most dramas disappoint when having second season. this one had different feelings and focus, as if it was a different…
a very good point indeed...this sequel was an actual stand alone sequel of a BL that I have seen which just didn't rely on fan service and fame of the main couple to sell the show but actually presented a hard hitting realistic portrayal of a gay relationship which for once was very organically written nd executed...
I would definitely watch the season 3 if it existed. But I am totally up for them to appear in a new story as…
yes I would love that too..to see them in a new show..but I still feel this story has potential but only in the hands of Hwang Da Seul ..only she can do justice to this show if they ever plan to make s3...what a director!!
If I say I'm addicted to this drama, that would be an understatement...I'm on my 4th re-watch now and I just have to say with each re-watch I find this better than before..rarely has a show affected me soooo much...
Yes exactly like the last episode was cute but the fact we went through those 9 episodes of just pain and arguing…
actually we did get to see JW's internal struggles right from the last 3 to 4 episodes ..its just that the director chose a more subtle approach to depict it rather than in your face expositions ..
Yes exactly like the last episode was cute but the fact we went through those 9 episodes of just pain and arguing…
yessss ur point is perfect...this is what I have been saying that this drama is not after portraying things that should be done according to rulebooks..it shows how things are actually done..I would have behaved exactly like SJ had my partner come back and apologized to me and basically begged me to take him back..and all bad behavior everything would have been forgotten ( unless he did something really bad to me or took advantage of me intentionally)...
aww thanks with the immense love and critical acclaim the show is getting we will get one ...though once again haters will get in line with their stones to throw but its okay ..there is a whole group out there supporting the show wholeheartedly ...
The first season was good, but this one was simply amazing. Can someone explain me why there are haters of this…
okay since I have been defending this show since god knows when, I welcome people like you who present views which are actually logical and not idealistic...people didn't like the show apparently because it was too realistic and they didn't get the ideal perfect lead protagonist they were looking for ..instead with huge credits to the writers we first time got a character in a BL who behaves and acts like a normal person and not a prince from a fantasy novel..JiWoo was apparently not to everyone's taste ..coz they couldn't handle a lead who behaved cowardly, treated his partner in way which was not ideal and was basically flawed...people came expecting a PatPran relationship ( not meant in a degrading way since I loveeee BAD Buddy) and got a relationship that they can find in their own real world and that was too much I guess...while some people just live in their own fantasy world who categorized the relationship as toxic coz it didn't follow the dummys guide to perfect relationships 101 handbook...
