these questions that u posed " Why does Ji Woo’s girlfriend want to get back together with him? Didn’t she ever figure out that he was gay? How deep was their relationship? Is this the only person she can think of to have a relationship with, and why are there no alternatives? I can never figure any of this out. The little girl who becomes attached to Ji Woo like he’s her father, but why? He doesn’t seem like he’s very good with kids, and is certainly cold with virtually everyone. Why does she suddenly run away from everyone? What kind of trauma does she have in her past that causes her to act out like this?"

u think the drama should have ventured into finding the answers to these irrelevant non sensical questions that have no impact on the plot whatsoever....only u would want to know why the girl called him dad...il tell u why ..shes a small girl..Ji Woo is good to her and they share the same last name ....what major impact it had on the plot ...what trauma does the girl have??? are u serious ??? the girl does not have any trauma ....shes a kid who was pissed at her mother for not attending her function even after promising that she would come ..being a kid she was acting out ..theres no trauma to explore here ...seriously your points ...restaurant and trauma of nthe girl and why does the girl like him ...Ji Woo could be bisexual since he did date her in the beginning ? how are u asuming that he is gay ..and as for the question how deep was their relationship it was not explored because it was not required...according to u they should have also explored why the little girl's dad left her ...coz thats so vital to the plot!!

ok see when you put it like this it makes a lot of sense ..and even though we will disagree on other aspects i completely agree with you on the part that it was thought provoking ..and yes if art could be measured and analyzed it would cease being art and become science ...you made way more sense in 2 paragraphs than this comment writer made in dozens!!!

I just don’t know why people don’t understand that this series was poorly written. Before you start attacking…
the fact that you think that the reason Ji Woo finally gave up and decided to go back to SJ are the texts that he read just goes to show how much u understood the drama !!
okay here's something I read which just sums up this drama and JW and SJ relationship and gives validity to everything that happened :

"To My Star 2 gave viewers an imperfect relationship with just the right amount of love. Relationships are never perfect, but genuine love buoys us over the waves a rocky relationship causes. People are complicated, and To My Star 2 doesn’t sugar coat the complications.

Seo Joon is a very accepting and persistent character. Ji Woo is a stubborn man who falls a little short on the persistence, but he makes up for it with his ability to read Seo Joon’s pain. These two don’t exactly make sense as a couple, and I think that’s what makes them so incredibly special. The less sense something makes, the more unique it is.

To be honest, destined or not, there aren’t many who could make a relationship with Seo Joon and Ji Woo work. And I think that’s their biggest secret to success. Where others would find dating either of them difficult, they’ve discovered acceptance in each other. And in themselves. The best kind of relationships find a way to compromise without compromising identities."

no offense to the writer but if you actually read it ..this is where the term nitpicking gets its origin!! 😂 I mean the first paragraph of him questioning where did Ji Woo get the money to start his own restaurant is the definition of grasping at straws just to make ur point !!

I'm so glad that these reviewers saw the show and Ji Woo for the character he was written as and have given such glowing reviews !!!
Here is an excerpt from this review about Ji Woo -
"Ji Woo is stubborn, prideful, and grumpy. We see various examples of him being unyielding in his ways. At work, he won’t change the obscure restaurant name or the unpopular recipes on the menu. At home, he gets annoyed when Seo Joon puts the clothes hangers in the wrong direction. Ji Woo’s fussiness is present on every level of his life, including the irrelevant details. Imagine how prickly he gets about dating, which requires you to be agreeable with your partner. As we know, Ji Woo doesn’t like compromising, which sets the stage for the conflict in this series.

Ji Woo was unsatisfied with some aspects of his romance. Understandably, dating a high-profile closeted celebrity brings extraordinary inconveniences for his secret lover. "

and the most important part :

"Many of Ji Woo’s grievances aren’t severe enough to warrant a breakup under normal circumstances. He could’ve talked to Seo Joon and sorted out their issues together. Yet, Ji Woo is an extreme introvert who bottles up his feelings and can’t be honest about his insecurities. He takes the worst approach, running away from his relationship problems instead of confiding with his boyfriend."

so people complaining about Ji Woo, this is Ji Woo for u ..he is like that ..it's his personality..don't expect a person in real life or drama to do things that clash with their nature !!

This story, this direction, this acting deserves an 11/10 from me. This is one of the most touching dramas I have…
same rarely do i come across a drama where I cannot find any fault and this was one of those !!

this is the most realistic human nature I've ever seen in a drama. people never change if they say they'll change…
very nicely explained...but apparently people didn't get their ideal characters who apologize for every small thing or never make any mistakes in life or never hurt their partners so they think the show was not good enough !! 🤣

I actually LOVED this season so much. I don't think it deserves the hate it got in the past and I'm not saying…
for me this was one of the best shows ever but apparently people think that Ji Woo shouldn't be forgiven so easily ..ppl wanted Seo Joon to make Ji Woo wait and beg for his forgiveness coz according to people forgiveness and revenge are the same thing !!!

I loved s2 to pieces and that is not very common for me. Like an addict I craved for my dose of bitter poison…
s2 is a revelation !!! Ji Woo and Seo Joon are living proof that when u love someone passionately every incompatibility every issue just becomes secondary !!

I think they should have made Ji Woo work a bit harder, being a bit less harsh, being a bit less childish. Then…
Leaving ur partner and going away from dem due to ur own issues and insecurities and getting drunk and having fights with them are two very different things .....and accepting love over pride is not a sign of weakness ...its a sign of strength...and U guys are talking about JW as if he did something so unforgivable ? Did he harass SJ? cheat on him? make unnecessary demands or take advantage of him? yes what he did was wrong but it wasn't unforgivable ...he did not ask SJ to come back into his life ...SJ decided to do so which shows a testament to SJ's strength that he gave love more value over pride...maybe we are 2 different people ...I would do what SJ did in an instant without a second thought if the love of my life came back asking for a second chance ( unless he did something so vile which was unforgiveable )...

yes his actions were horible and yes he treated SJ very badly but that is what this drama is trying to portray...flawed…
yes thank you !! I wish there were more people like u who could see that logic does not work when it comes to someone u love (unless they have wronged u in such a way that cannot be forgiven )

Some people's expectations are so low that they clap for everything.
character development is not equal to changing your personality ..character development will not make an introvert person extrovert in any world !! character developmet is to accept ur faults and limitations and to find ways to improve urself while keeping ur integrity intact!!
