8.0/10 Awesome.

This was such a treat! I was so worried how the writers were going to move forward with Oh Han Byul and Gong Tae Sung relationship after the press conference. Instead of dragging it out Tae Sung found out all the information and was able to forgive everyone. To mend fences and get his relationships in order. Which is such a huge relief. And something I wish more and more dramas would show and deal with. It just made me smile so much. Many relationships took some hits or scary turns in the last episode. While Yu Na and her man are still suffering a lot of other ones are taking huge steps or at least growing in wonderful directions. The main message is listening to the people in your life. And forgiveness. More importantly we're finally getting information on what happened with Oh Han Byul and Gong Tae Sung 's friend. It's been such a expertly teased secret and build up. Not to mention that final reveal in the last bits of the show. Especially since it tied into such a huge reveal last episode!!!! Well done! The best part is how every couple has me beyond invested. I'm cheering all my couples on. I love being able to love the main couple, but to love all the second, third, and fourth and so on couples. It's so magical!!! I am beyond obsessed with Jo Ki Peum and Do Soo Hyuk!!!! I am so happy that my second lead syndrome was soothed by Do Soo Hyuk being able to have a even better pairing than he could have had with Oh Han Byul. AMAZING!!!

9.0/10 - Pretty fabulous.

Holy dramas, this was one of the cutest episodes I've seen! I couldn't have asked for a better one. Not only for the adorableness of the leads finally getting together and their cute buddy relationship, but bascially this was the episdoe of LOVE. Everyone had some kind of progress and setup for their romance. Love triangles were cemented and a new romance between second leads is born. No really. Jo Ki Peum and Do Soo Hyuk are what I didn't know I wanted. So cute!! There are so many magical setups going on and I won't spoil it.This was one of the best feel good episodes in a drama and I was so happy! My smile hurt my face.

8.0/10 - Some serious setup.

Normally episodes all about setting up the story and characters get low ratings. There's a lot to slug through and I know we need them, but they're usually boring. I was riveted. Yes, it's stunning to look at and that didn't hurt, but I was captivated by each setup. There's a lot of moving parts here and I commend the writer and director for keeping things clear. Bravo. I'm beyond intrigued by all of the characters and how they will interact. I loved seeing the politics building. What makes a man of Joseon become a rebel. A slave of Joseon become an American soldier. The daughter of a rebel a Lady. So on. The politics are amazing. Not to mention that America, Japan, and Korea do not come out looking okay. The writing is bold in showing the hypocrisies of the officials and governments. Bravo. I was impressed. The whole famous quote from Roosevelt at the beginning had me laughing and I honestly thought things were gonna get cheesy. I was worried. However, both America and Korea have dirt of their face here and I appreciated it. So enough about that. The setup is just amazing!!!! I want to see what these characters have become. What they're current goals are. How they've changed or grown. Rebel, soldier, the son of an aristocratic in an abolished government, and the daughter of a patriot. The villains are clearly setup. This episode was freaking brutal!!! What interesting takes. What an interesting time. I feel like this drama is gonna be the one by this writer that I can get behind. Finally. Cheers!

8.0/10 - Awesome.

Okay, honesty time. This was one of those rare occasions where I actually too tired to write notes and do an episode review. So this is sparse. The whole slip side thing was hilarious! Not to mention kind of super cool. Though I feel terrible that she lost the bet!! Plus, she has to be the butt of the work place jokes and deal with it all going viral. I am so curious to meet Jo Ki Peum's boyfriend! Making her yummy food with silly little notes. The noodle actor is fun to see as he joins in and learns the ropes. I'm glad Park Ho Yeong got her man! Not to mention I kind of want to see her in bodyguard mode. It's great to see the noodle actor interacting with the actor who finally got his big break. I'm curious if these to will become rivals, cause I'd rather have them stay friends. It's super nice to see someone Gong Tae Sung cares about. Enough to lie about her cooking. I'm curious to see more of his house keeper. Since he's clearly estranged from his family. It was great to see how amazing Oh Han Byul is at her job. She swoops in to make Gong Tae Sung feel better about being embarrassed by his manager giving out drinks that don't have his face and then the whole underwear and other debacles. Oh Han Byul is a pro. She knows not to just spread his good name, but make him feel better as well. Clearly Gong Tae Sung is really crushing on Oh Han Byul. He was trying to be by her constantly and he got in the food truck ASAP to "help" her out. The ending was so cute with the old couple! Darn I am really enjoying this drama!

7.0/10 - Very good.

Addressing Africa. Let's be real. When have dramas ever been known for being politically correct? I'm not gonna elaborate on Africa. Plenty of other viewers have addressed it in their reviews. I noted the poor representation and stereotyping being done, and moved on. This isn't the worst I've seen in a drama and it won't be the last. There's no point in being stressed. Moving on.To be honest I had no idea what to aspect. I've been out of the drama scene! Sh**ting Stars won the drawing for our drama group and one other drama. I read the synopsis and thought it looked interesting and ended up voting for Sh**ting Stars. Then I realized Lee Sung Kyung would be the ML and I grew very excited! I have slowly become a fan of Lee Sung Kyung! Right out of the gate she's very charismatic and likable as Oh Han Byul! The writing quickly introduces Oh Han Byul and the work she does. It keeps teasing that celebrities, the fans, gossip, and everything celebrity realated is a foolish waste of time. It's pointless and doesn't matter. However, everyone is into it. Oh Han Byul's work is so stressful she's always on demand and can be called in to work at any moment. She can't date and can barely make it through a routine physical that's required for work. (Though she made it through when none of her colleagues did!) This episode was a very solid setup. We know the work, we get to meet all the side characters and people Oh Han Byul works with. A feel for the celebrities and how their managers handle them. The newbies that are stepping into this stressful world where most interns wash out. Side stories for them already teasing viewers! Not to mention a nod to how important managers who can drive well and safely are important. The humor is mixed in well and while I normally get annoyed with bathroom humor the colonoscopy prep was brilliant!!! All of the jokes and humor landed pretty well with me. Especially Oh Han Byul annoyance with Gong Tae Sung. As the episode slowly revealed history. History that Gong Tae Sung whispered to her before he left for Africa: "I won't let you go when I get back." And that she knows him pretty well and there's more to his personality . . . maybe a dark side. ^_-I am so thrilled because there's a candid picture of Oh Han Byul on Gong Tae Sung's wall in Africa. Very much a nod to the super fans he has with his image in their rooms! Not to mention what I think is a college picture under Oh Han Byul's couch!!! I love it when it's clear that the male lead is the one interested in the female lead. Normally those kinds of dramas go very well for me! >_<Overall this is definitely one of the better episode ones I have watched! I love the setup, the world is fun and I love that a manager of a celebrity is a lead! It's rare. So far the writing is strong and clear, and the cast is killing it! The episode flows well and ties in so well at the end I gave a mini applaud to it! 1.0/10 Truly atrocious.

All I'm gonna say is the dog is no longer enough. I watched this on 3 sped so I could just get it over with. Ugh. Ugh. Acting. No. Tropes and plots, kind of painful to watch. Just. Trash. Ugh.

1.0/10 Truly atrocious.

Hmmmmm. I wonder if this drama was a hit back in it's day. I give props for the dog and his dialogue! Truly awesome. Everything else truly painful to watch. The whole "wash the dog" trope where we get to see the leads have fun together was . . . wrong. I felt akward watching it. I just can't even with this drama. Not to mention this was the of the nonstop screaming and yelling. MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

2.0/10 This is painful.

Honestly this episode would get a 1 from me, but again the dog. Or should I say dogs this time. He's got sass! Doggy sass. Not to mention the little one. Overall everything is just a hot mess. The acting is painful. The story is pulling every trope, and mainly annoying ones, and just shoving it in my face. *shivers* This kind of drama is why I quit watching dramas for a while. +_+

1.0/10 - Truly atrocious.

I delayed writing a review for this episode. Mainly cause I didn't want to go over the top on how bad this was. Because it is. So bad. Over acting. Cramming too much in the plot. Just. No. No. To be honest I'm only curious about the dog.

10/10 - One of the most perfect kisses!!!

I keep wondering when Seo Jun is gonna find out about Joo Gyung's real face. I honestly feel like he'd handle it well as he is a compassionate person and his sister has acne too. (AKA Ugly face. *eyeroll*) Though Seo Jun using his caring for a sick Joo Gyung was kind of a point against him. Though that did lead to an epic battle scene. Can you imagine being Joo Gyung sick and totally passed out. Whilst the two hottest guys in school are duking it out for you!!? Though I will say Seo Jun definitely said the best thing to Su Ho while they were fighting, "Her feelings are what matter." That's what makes what happens later so heart breaking. At least he doesn't have to wonder too long about her feelings. That opening was kind of crazy. It's both sad and hilarious about the scary story. she wants to steal pretty faces!!!!!! I really love that they stuck with the ghost story the whole time. I was a bit bummed that there wasn't too much teacher and Hee Gyung romance. The phone singing was so sweet. Poor little brother is getting scarred. First his big sister's romance and then his mom and dad! I was so happy to see Joo Gyung's parents having some romance!!! Also little brother is having a crap romance. I love that he sees her without makeup on and still likes her. Even if he's being a weird. It's also great he's having a romance in the comic store. This episode was so much fun and really fleshes out the plot!!! Now what I'm really wanting to talk about is Su Ho and Joo Gyung's finale!!! Seo Jun finds out that Joo Gyung definitely likes Su Ho. Poor guy. I love that Su Ho picked a swan necklace for Joo Gyung. The symbolism is beautiful. But what really means the most is that Su Ho confesses his like for Joo Gyung while she's not wearing makeup. More importantly he touches her face . . . and . . . KISSES HER!!! He's kissing for real and she's not, but I will take it! I love it!!!!! YESSSSS! Excuse me while I rush to the next episode!

9.0/10 - I LOVE THIS DRAMA!!!!!

Well. This episode answers my question about whether or not her family knows about the bullying Joo Gyung faced. I wanted to cry with her! The intense emotions she felt when her mom threw her makeup in the trash. She did her best and improved, but the frustration that it's not enough. Not to mention that she wants to tell her mom, but doesn't trust her own family members enough to let them know. Maybe it's more shame, but she feels like they wouldn't care and I think that's what really stops her. Even better is that a huge baseball rising star shows up both Seo Jun and Su Ho. He has no qualms about letting Joo Gyung know he likes and wants to pursue her. I love that Joo Gyung knows enough about herself that she knows what she wants to do. Not to mention how this adversary brings Seo Jun and Su Ho together. It is a bit annoying that Soo Jin is being setup as a decoy between Su Ho and Joo Gyung. Sooooo annoying!!! Especially since a lot of my suspicions about Soo Jin's home life are confirmed. *sighs* That elevator scene!!! First off Su Ho is such a stalker. I loved that Soo Jin really thinks "Seriously this girl? I'm falling for this gross girl? Of all girls?" As she unlady like eats her ice and is (like me) about her food. Then trapped in the elevator with two kings of school she has to pee!! No shame just her urge. Ha-ha. Well shame after the fact. Oh, my!!! Lim Hee Gyung and teacher's romance truly stepped up! Oh, my!!The best part of this episode is that everyone is figures out what they want. Seo Jun and Su Ho are both frank with each other about Joo Gyung! Boom! Lim Hee Gyung has been upfront from the start and teacher is caving well and good. Joo Gyung knows what she wants despite the pain Su Ho put her through.

9.0/10 - Drama writing at its best!

This episode was off the drama-chian!! First of all let us address Seo Jun little leopard boxer's and the dance!! I mean it's so natural. We all know men do this. Heck I do this! (But you know bras and underwear!) The whole time I'm laughing, drooling, and laughing some more joyfully thinking "Oh, Joo Gyung is there getting a show!!" He-he. It makes it even better since Seo Jun knows what Joo Gyung's did for his sister and they're clearly friends now. Ahhh! Even better is Joo Gyung's constant teasing "roars". Then, despite everything Su Ho can't leave Joo Gyung alone. He winds up going to dinner and more hilarity ensues! I mean, so awesome. I wonder if Su Ho loved the whole family thing or if he's relieved he lives alone! It was so interesting seeing Joo Gyung run into her bully's again, but with out makeup. Oh, so brutal. it hurt more as Su Ho comforted her! Just because of his stupid actions from before. Talk about mixed signals. Honestly there are so many awesome things going on in this episode! It's one of my favorite yet. Just brilliant and an emotional roller coaster. This is drama writing at it's best. That ending though! Absolute perfection! Bringing in all the best parts. One of the best drama fight scenes ever!

8.0/10 - Joo Gyung is FIERCE!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!I am so conflicted about this episode. On one hand I freaking loved it beyond reason! But then all of a sudden it did a huge no-no for me. Watching Su Ho fall even more for Joo Gyung had me fangirling so hard. Just the thrill of watching a ML awkwardly falling. Not knowing what to do or how to handle his feelings. Both of them equally floundering. This is also a huge episode for Joo Gyung. She faces her fear of asking someone out again. It can't be said enough how strong and brave she is. After the brutality of what happened the last time. Not only that when she sees another girl going through what she did she steps up! Joo Gyung is fierce!! Not only throwing a bucket of water on the bullies, but helping the "ugly" girl with her make up. (AND I KNEW who she had to be!! Someone's little sister. Hmmmmm? I wonder whoms!!!!)Lim Hee Gyung is fiercely trying to pursue her teacher! I love that she doesn't care what he does. She finds everything he does adorable. Ahhhhhhh!! I love a good side romance. I haven't addressed it in other episode reactions, but I also love the couple that had their anniversary. It's just fun to see other romances and how they love. So. My big no. It's when a male lead leads the female lead. He gives all the signals that he likes her and she makes the move. Then to protect her he gives her the cold rebuff. *groans* I just. Urgh!!!!!!! Why! I hate it! Freaking hate it!! I know Su Ho isn't ready to share with her yet, but still!!!!!!!!!!! My fierce Joo Gyung still steps up and comforts Su Ho when he clearly has a panic attack and emotional break down. Despite what he did to her she is there. Bravo. I want to give this episode negative a million for that terrible trope of the girl getting the cold shoulder, but everything else in this episode is beyond awesome.

8.0/10 - Tropey, yes. The characters and writing make it A-mazing!

Picking up right where we left off with Su Ho saving Joo Gyung from having to show her real face. It makes me a bit sad that Joo Gyung immediately thinks that Su Ho knows the truth and that's why he's helping. I mean I think he knows too, but I don't think there's an evil motive. The thing that sticks with me is that Joo Gyung brother says that she is committing fraud by wearing makeup! Then isn't every woman!!!??? What constitutes as too much makeup and when it turns to fraud? I love that Joo Gyung tells him the beautiful girl he likes is probably just like her underneath all that makeup. Inception. The seed of doubt has been planted. I tell you he's gonna get a crush on an "ugly" face girl. This episode was a bit annoying with Joo Gyung constantly panicking over Su Ho knowing the truth. I guess she's just going to the worse fear because she doesn't want to experience the level of bullying she went through before. I love that she got so inspired buy her sister's video game to handle Su Ho, but then immediately set herself up for failure. Joo Gyung was panicking so much that she couldn't see that Su Ho actually likes her. Which is rare so fast!! We're only on episode 3 and he's trying to get her to hang with him. He wants to spend time with her. I was right!!Joo Gyung's sister is having a romance!! I love that she's so prepared to change a flat and saves the man that has caught her eye! It just makes me so happy with this role reversal! >_< You go girl!!! Get your man!!I feel like poor Seo Jun is going to be nothing more than second lead. The setup isn't going to really take him farther than that. Which breaks my heart. The actor is amazing and I honestly like the character. That said I love that Joo Gyung was defeated by her terrible singing—I get you girl—and went with something that utilized her courage. Her mad, awesome, dancing skills. Which of course turned out to not be the talent contest, but it was amazing!! Giving us something to life about, and Su Ho something to fantasize about. ^_-That is one thing I really like about True Beauty, we get to see the ML fantasizing about the FL! It was really interesting getting to see Seo Jun family life and it humanized him a lot. It shows most of his attitude is bluster to hide what's going on. Joo Gyung finally confronts Su Ho not knowing that what he really wants is to spend time with her enjoying something they love together. Seeing him take care of her is a standard drama trope and one viewers love. The ending with the boys gearing up to fight is very intense!

8.0/10 - Wow, this is such a fun drama! The humor is brilliant!!! The plotting is wonderful!!!

Ha-ha!! I love how the episode starts off with Joo Gyung's pranking her!! >_< Though I feel like the smartphones would be able to tell the difference between makeup face and no makeup. Just saying. (Disclaimer! I'm totally on episode 7 at this point. I got so caught up in just watching this awesome drama that I completely forgot to type up episode reactions. So these will probably be brief and weak. As I only made minor notes of my reactions and thoughts.) So this episode starts right off with our fated leads meeting again. Joo Gyung having no idea that the boy she just fell on top of yet again is the same one that saved her on the roof. Ah, I feel Joo Gyung. When you're prescription is as strong as us you can't even see your own hand! It's super funny realizing the misunderstanding Joo Gyung and Lee Su Ho already have. I know it's so STANDARD for a drama. Especially I high school one, but it works out so well for the story. Huh. The way Joo Gyung's brother is treating her. AND the way some of her family members are acting I'm wondering if know one is fully aware of the abuse and bullying she had been going through? That's what makes it even harder. That Joo Gyung didn't, couldn't, reach out. Oh, my goodness! I hope that Lim Hee Gyung [Joo Gyung's older sister] has a romance with Joo Gyung's teacher!! I feel like this could be an epic side story!!! This was also a great setup episode. It's heartbreaking to see how Joo Gyung is still destroyed by seeing her old bullies. Queue the meet for our second lead who has some serious swagger! Also, the setup of Su Ho's family and life. Clearly Su Ho and Seo Jun have a past. Same boy group? Hmmmmm? Not to mention how magical it is watching Joo Gyung getting to enjoy having friends and her genuine joy interacting with them! No really. I got so choked up! ;_;I really like the setup of this whole episode and I fully believe that Su Ho knows that bother versions of Joo Gyung are the same girl. I really think he knows.
