9.0/10 - Solid story telling!

Heads up I'm reviewing the episodes in their full one hour run. It's to hard breaking them up into the 30 min that they tried out for a while there. So this is review episodes 1 and 2. There's always a bit of leeway you have to give a drama with the first few episodes. Info dumps happen as writers try to setup the story and introduce the characters. However, Spring Turns to Spring is solid! Impressively so!!! It was so easy to follow and you immediately get a feel for the the main leads and their lives. The people around them and where they currently are. It truly is impressive! It starts out with a zap and a bang. Literally! We see that body swapping is real, only to have one of the members of the team start to shoot everyone! Bom Il survives escaping to Bom Sam with the body swapping serum. Bom Il lies and says the serums are to age people. What I love is how fast the writing let's us now about the Boms in the orphanage and that Bom Sam is Obsessed with Bom Mi. He doesn't like that she abandoned him and he wants to make her old so that he can take care of her. Yeah . . . that doesn't make me like him. Selfish jerk. Bom Mi is our anchor woman. She's a fighter. Growing up in an orphanage as one of the Boms, Bom 2 to be exact, you can tell she's fighter. Not to mention having to deal with a clinging Bom who's obsessed with her. She's rude. Very rude and only cares about herself. I'm very curious about her back story. When the body swap happens she's got her first official role as the anchor job she's been fighting for. Lee Bom is an ex-actress. Now retired to support her husband as he's running for some kind of office . . . which I'll find out. She's a hard worker and kind. Too kind. Naive. Her husband and agent are having an affair. And as they talk about her I just feel so protective of her. She's an ex-actress, but she's willing to get down to the nitty gritty to clean and give the people who are important to her stuff. She trains for he marathon, and even when unknowingly tricked by her agent to be in a in a smart quiz show she does her best. Even though I think her manager/assistant wanted her to bomb and be humiliated. That smile as Lee Bom struggled was heartbreaking, and then the look she gave Lee Bom when one of the answers she gave her came up . . . that assistant is cruel. Worrisome and I hope is handled. Bom Mi sees Lee Bom as her competition. Lee Bom is just to kind for that, and honestly what I'm most excited about is seeing these to women becoming friends and helping each other out. I think that's always been the true heart of a body swap. Is friendship and walking in someone else's shoes. On that note I'm excited for the ladies to figure out what has happened, and for them to work together. But more importantly. For Lee Bom's husband to get what's coming to him. That &%@^$#@!

10/10 - A truly beautiful ending.

What a wonderful ending. I loved how all the plots were tied up and everything had a solid ending. It was wonderful. Which is what this drama deserved. Nothing was left to chance. I appreciated that we knew where everyone ended up and how they changed their futures. Or stayed stuck. I felt very satisfied with Soo Min's ending. All she had left was gaslighting herself. I was so happy for our leads and all the beautiful couples. Bravo to BoA for giving us such a dastardly villain! Bravo my dear! The emotions felt so warm between Ji Won and Ji Hyuk I couldn't have asked for more. I got my happy laughs and smiles.

I kept thinking Min Hwan deserved Ji Won's fate. Yes, Soo Min betrayed her and it seemed right she replace Ji Won for a life for a life. However, Min Hwan showed that he was more than willing to kill! I was super disappointed that Ji Won was choked out! I kept thinking she was gonna kick his butt with her new skills. Sighs. That said as the episode progressed it hit me. Soo Min would never let herself be killed. In fact, the true enemy is her. She's the ultimate boss. I mean the girl has made her it her life's mission to torture Ji Won. She doesn't want Ji Won to be happy her motto is pretty much that Ji Won should suffer. That if Soo Min can't be happy, her step sister can't. Soo Min hasn't realized that she is the one causing her on suffering. Dang. This episode was good. The whole setup for the other woman was brilliant, but the play out was even more satisfying. Where is Hee Yeon? I'm super worried. I'm happy that Eun Ho is clearly in love with her, but where is Eun Ho!!? I'm worried.

This is a great episode for Ji Won to realize how her fate is shifting, and how she really needs to flip it for her fate to become Soo Min. I didn't even fully realize what Yoo Ra, Ji Hyuk's ex, had done . . . she became the other woman!!! So exciting! What a relief that Ji Won did not need to keep seducing Min Hwan.Things are getting so intense! I'm super happy with this drama and it blows my mind that people are telling me the webtoon is even crazier. Though the Yoo Ra's role isn't this big. Honestly BoA is an amazing villain though!!! Go girl!

Huh. This is very interesting. I wasn't expecting it to quite go this way. But it's also very sad to fully realize the extant of Soo Min's mental break. Ji Won chose to love and embrace Soo Min. Soo Min wanted everything Ji Won have and to destroy her. It creeps me out to think that poor Ji Won was basically stalked and bullied purposefully. To be betrayed by everyone who should have loved her, but her dad. Ji Hyuk's is crazy. It's interesting that she is also motivated very similarly to Soo Min. They covet what other's have thinking it should be theirs.Overall this is a pretty interesting episode. Great setup and thank goodness for that ending.

9.0/10 - Huh. I did like this episode.

I'm as shocked as anyone that I actually liked this episode. I mean suddenly Ji Hyuk's ex has popped up. We know she existed becasue his grandfather has mentioned not being pleased about Ji Hyuk canceling the engagement. But boy did I call it. Yoo Ra is cray-cray. At first I thought it was super odd that she would show up. However. As her true pschotic possessiveness became clear . . . I realized. If she is so ticked that "what's hers" dumped her and for another woman. What would she have done in his first life . . .if he had just dumped her for seemingly no one. Maybe make it so he had a car crash and die? Yep. I think she's the key to why Ji Hyuk died in his first life. Cause no way would she take him ending things with her at all. I'm just so annoyed with Ji Won. She tossed Ji Hyuk aside so fast. And she calls it excuses? Hmmmmm. So they're not together in his first life. So he doesn't break off and arranged marriage. Not to mention that he has explained that he just went along with everything his family wanted and wasn't living. So in his first life he didn't realize how he felt about Ji Won until the funeral. And he did eventually breakup with his fiance. So in his second life he promptly breaks up with someone HE HAS NEVER LOVED because he wants to speed up the process instead of waiting. Over and over he has proven to Ji Won he loves her and is on her side. Not to mention showing that he was prepared for her to have the stomach cancer. Worked half a year to get a super amazing doctor to treat her and even made sure that the doctor kept a surgery date open always. HE HAS PROVEN HIMSELF!!!!!!*cough* I know Ji Won has emotional drama from what happened with her mom. Still. Just the fact that Hee Yeon had to explain why Ji Hyuk would never cheat was stupid. Ji Hyuk is a good person. He would never cheat. Even without his own traumatic past. Which Ji Won hasn't taken the time or care to learn. I feel like she's taking our boy for granted. It's interesting how insane Yoo Ra is. Apparently beating up other women that Ji Hyuk wasn't dating, but she felt threatened. And his grandfather knows about her insanity!!! Pretty sure Yoo Ra would probably kill Ji Hyuk because it's her company. Which makes me realize how crappy his grandfather is. Not to mention that Ji Hyuk is being spied on all the time. No wonder he was just coasting. He was probably severely depressed having to make stupid people in his family happy. Yo Ra weaponizes Min Hwan and Soo Min against Ji Won. Which led to super satisfaction in watching Soo Min realize that Ji Won had in fact one. Not to mention the trash line coming full circle!!! I didn't catch that on my own, but brilliant. It was interesting seeing Ji Won's past about her mom and that Ji Won was prepared for her mom to use her. She wanted her day, but I think she wanted to flip her mom the bird. So that made me happy. What scared me was seeing Yoo Ra take over. There's no way she didn't have a hand in Ji Hyuk's death. I'm beyond worried for Ms Kim. Because the writers have made it clear that Ms Kim sympathizes with Ji Won because her husband is so much like Min Hwan. They even had that tantrum scene outside the restaurant. The cheating. Everything!!! Holy cow. However . . . Suk Joon is watching out. So . . . maybe he will save Ms Kim. It's also emphasized that Soo Min would not take the abuse, and the way she manipulates Min Hwan and his mom is glorious. Not to mention Ji Hyuk! That ending. Ji Won he has more than proven himself! He's freaking taking death for you. Sheesh. I have to promptly start the next episode.

10/10

Wow! This episode was crazy. Going from "no you can't kiss me" to "totally in love!" and So on. I really have forgotten how much ground a K-drama episode can cover. So plenty of awesome Ji Won and Ji Hyuk moments. However, the drama is only amping up. I honestly thought that Ji Won had tipped her had too far with the whole "you're getting my trash". I thought Soo Min was totally calling of the wedding. Her pride was too much though. No way. She was winning. Ji Won was bluffing. What's scarier is the ending. So I was right. Yang Joo Ran, AKA Ms Kim depending on your translation, is the one who has gotten the stomach cancer. Which means . . . Ji Won was wrong. So she could have kicked both of them to the curb. Maybe. Also, Ji Hyuk's ex-finacee just popped up. There's something cray-cray about her. Huh . . . does he have a toxic person in his life? Oh. Best part of this episode. I think Eun Ho and Hee Yeon might get together!!!!!! They went out to eat! Here's hoping.

10/10 - Sweet baby dramas! Thank you.

Sweet baby dramas! Thank you!!! What an ending!!! I'm so happy it didn't take Ji Won long to figure things out. Yeah!!! Joy!!!! I'm convinced that Min Hwan is an idiot. But it's really that pride that doesn't let him see the danger where Soo Min is concerned. Good luck boy. Good luck. Honestly this episode was great. Ji Won handled herself so well. She also met Ji Hyuk's Grandpa. She was just fire. I see Ji Hyuk pushing her to the guy who can stay with her. Is it more than a car crash? We saw him get weak, and he's passed out. The previews hint at another weak spell coming. Does he have cancer himself? Is that why he crashed? Huh. Not to mention someone else has been clutching her stomach. I hope that person isn't getting the stomach cancer!!!!! She has a bright romance ahead of her! Onward. Give me the goods!

9.0/10 - Um. The cray-cray.

Ji Won is right: Min Hwan pride rules all. Because there's no way that he can't tell that Soo Min isn't cray-cray and that he should be running for the hills as well! Though his pride, AKA his narcissism, is clearly making him think he is still in charge. Yikes. Min Hwan may have killed Ji Won, but at least he was . . . sane. He wanted Ji Won to be a slave and to get money off her. Soo Min. That girl is on a whole level of crazy. Narcism can't even touch it! I don't know what it is. She was willing to die and kill Ji Won just to see if she'd save her. Then she hopes into bed with her friends fiance to make sure he wants to make her happy. I had wondered why Soo Min just didn't have the high school girls as her friends. They liked her. Now I do. If she had really made friends with them she couldn't have abused them the way she did Ji Won. She needed Ji Won to be her whole world, so that Ji Won could prove that Soo Min was here's or . . . I don't know. I give up! That girl is insane. And chilling. Bravo. This was a great episode. I honestly didn't see Ji Won flipping the tables so soon! I forget that with a full hour episode K-dramas can cover so much ground. Also, let's talk about the fact that Ji Hyuk is making sure his cat is cared for. I always wonder about who will love my fur babies if anything ever happens to me. Ji Hyuk is the ultimate man. No. I'm not kidding. Great ending! I was smiling and laughing so hard for Ji Won! You go girl. Warning. You'll want to watch the next episode.

10/10 - It's hard to understand.

First off! Yes!!! Cat romance revealed! So awesome! They're past history with the cat and him just giving her the pass code so she can see the cat whenever she wants! Not to mention the courage and strength it takes him to help her. To see her suffer, but to help give her a better birthday. AKA proposal. No to the true meat of this episode. Even after to realize that you have been a victim of abuse it's hard to grasp. You don't think that way. YOu wouldn't think of hurting someone like that. How could someone think of hurting you the way they just did? What is your abuser thinking? What throws you is that you may not even know the true extent of it. Until something sucker punches you. Cause the truth is you can understand that abuser to extent, but the core of the matter is you will never be able to fully understand the how and why. What makes them truly tick.So I felt for Ji Won so much. As she fully realizes that the two most important people in her life are that horrible. She knows. Heck she knows they kill. But when she fully understands the willingness that they have to fully hurt her and use her. The fact that she isn't cruel. That she would just like to move on from them. She's not a cruel person, but to avoid her fate by her abusers. They need to end up together. I loved the nuances of this episode. Top notch.

9.0/10 - "I want to be solid land."

As someone who lost their dad not to long ago, that boat analogy is right on. Especially when someone was your stability. So when Yoo Ji Hyuk said he wanted to be solid land I cried. And after coming off of seeing Yoo Ji Hyuk getting in Ji Won's dad's taxi . . . this episode was such an emotional roller coaster! Oh, goodness. I know why Ji Won wants to not be Soo Min. Soo Min who uses people, and used Ji Won. However, I hope Ji Won will discover that having true people, and true friends, is also okay. You can ask for help. Okay. I think Eun Ho and Hee Yeon would make the cutest couple!!! I'm all for it. Not to mention I think Joo Ran might have just got a love interest. Speaking of Joo Ran I see that her ex, is Ji Won's Min Hwan. Goodness! Overall this drama is just killing it. I am so emotionally invested. I'm laughing and tearing up. let a lone crying all in one go!!!

09/10 - It's BTS Army!!!

Made props for using BTS like that! Totally loved it! I had this moment where I was like wait . . . Gentleman was 2013, BTS were totally not on the radar then. K-pop land was favoring BigBang still for hitting it over seas! Anywho! Well done! Loved it!! And thank you for not making me have to waits. I love that Ji Won actually got to take up arms and when! Loved the whole Judo theme. From physically protecting herself to actually metaphorically doing it to to take down the baddies!!!!!!! So it's clear that Hee Yeon is totally aware that Soo Min is fake and not good. But I wonder if Joo Ran knows? Joo Ran was worried about Ji Won getting hurt by Min Hwan, but I wonder if she realizes how fake Soo Min is. And that she's not a good friend. Once you can take notice of those kinds of people I like to think you can spot them. Overall I loved getting to see more of Ji Hyuk's life and friends. So cool! It's nice to get even more personality. Also, I taste of the sweet, sweet revenge that Ji Won is dishing up!!!!!! Flip all those jerks my girl!!! I believe! (Also, that's why we're here!) Can't wait to see how the dynamics change. Now that both of them know . . . also. I really want Ji Won to have a cute heart on her too!

They need to know soon!

Ahhhhh. There it is. The connection from the past. It's crazy how much of a trope this is, and yet again I'm sucked right into it. Not to mention that it's kind of a romance through the kitten. And I'm assuming the kitten lived. Right? The cat that he lives with is the kitten!!!!!! LOL. I love the reactions to the male makeover. Ah, the woman gaze is strong. Even commenting at one point about his butt! I mean Min Hwan is even into Ji Hyuk's new look. Until he thinks there might be something between Ji Hyuk and Ji Won. Isn't it funny that he knows and even says what all men would do. AKA what he would do. So that's what he thinks everyone else would do. Which later gives him the right to start making the moves on Ji Won's friend. I feel bad for Eun Ho. He's so eager for Ji Won, and she "sees right through him. It's interesting that he's decided to not give on her. I can't imagine that Min Hwan never slipped in the past with Ji Won, but I guess if she was just agreeable and malleable he had no reason to hit her or put her in her place. Honestly I thought more men showing interest in Ji Won would mean that Min Hwan could not let go of what was his. Yet, he went from enjoying her makeover to suddenly freaking out that she's reapply lipstick, wearing makeup, and just acting like a normal woman. He likes her being pretty, but if it feeds into this sudden genetic temptress . . . isn't it funny. She might be blood related to an adulterer, so now he's in the clear. Even though he's been trying to cheat on Ji Won.What's more hilarious is watching the two idiot fools snare each other. I mean. Soo Min didn't here Ji Won give Min Hwan the credit card!!! It's not his money he just blown. Not to mention how they can't spot the lies both of them are spouting. I guess a fool doesn't know the other one. I am so impressed that Ji Hyuk completely confesses. So both alternative ML have confessed! Ji Won has options . Overall this was a great episode the humor is on point, but Ji Won's realizing how screwed she is. Soo Min is beyond devious able to completely copy Ji Won's handwriting. Knows all her secrets and is willing to weaponize anything and everything. Not to mention the proposal stealing. Dang!!! But I can't wait for them to both know they are allies on their second chance.

10/10 - THAT BIG REVEAL!!!

When Ji Won tossed Min Hwan's shoes out, it was so a Ghaston moment!!! Seriously!!! Also, Ji Hyuk knows something. Ji Hyuk isn't the type that would have left her be the first time around, something is up . . . . did Ji Won's dad send a message to him. Saying this is your chance to get the girl, don't let her marry that monster? Hmmmmmm. (Gosh, I love that it was her dad that gave her that second chance. Totally tearing up again!) OMG! So Ji Hyuk knows something is up. With Ji Won's boyfriend and friend. Enough so that he is getting Ji Won's first love to come to the reunion to add further proof that Soo Min is a liar. This was the makeover episode. Where our plain lead is truly the stunning lead! Makeover. This time I like why she decides to do it. She understands the shallow jerks in her life can't deal with people who look dressed up and fancy. It's sad that despite all her proof that the bullies still only want to bully her. They want apologies, but it never crosses their minds that they owe her them. In abundance! The makeover is still more about Ji Won's happiness. It makes her feel good. This plot is absolutely amazing! The characters, the acting, the visuals, and the music. This Drama is blowing me away. AND THAT BIG REVEAL!!!! Bravo. I hope this whole drama stays this good. I just, wow!!!!
