Huh. This feels like a huge flop. I was expecting some serious progress. Seo Ji Hwan giving Eun Ha the tin was so thrilling. To only have this episode establish that we are indeed going to be treated to the male lead deciding he needs to protect the female lead by pushing her away and lying. *sighs* It was great seeing the truth of Seo Ji Hawn's past though. He is the dude, and the misunderstanding with the second lead is annoying. Though I feel like ProsecutorJang Hyeon U is realizing Seo Ji Hawn is not who he thought he was. Though if he willingly ignores it I'm going to be so annoyed. The best thing out of all thos this is that Seo Ji Hwan's men don't like how he treated Eun Ha. Especially Kwak Jae Su. Her least favorite fan is now her best supporter. So cute. I hope the next episode picks things up.

Ji Hwan might be the mobster, but I feel like he is so innocent. Like Eun Ha might be the kid expert and be able to play, but I think she's the spicy one in the relationship. She even pushed to see what she meant to him, not to mention that she got him in bed. Then they slept in the same room again! Seriously though, Ji Hwan seems like such an innocent. I like the idea of Eun Ha taking the lead. Not to mention that something has happened between Mi Ho [Eun Ha's best friend] and Il Yeong [Thirsty Deer general manager]. They got hot and heavy, but not sure how hot and heavy. How far did they go? Il Yeong though, that boy failed. She was happy with it, but he just jumped ship. Did he think she'd be upset? Or what. Though her dad pulling him in was hilarious. They desperate for her. The dynamics of the family gang is interesting. Though they're still kind of all stereotypes. The inside man was too obvious.Which brings me to Hyeon U. Who is creepy to me. Probably because I've only ever seen him as a bad guy. A really good and creepy bad buy. The thing is how he talks and idolizes Eun Ha is creepy. He feels like a stalker. A stalker who has these ideas about who Eun Ha should be. The final reveal at the end though, that was expected and I'm glad we did not ahve to wait that long. Phew! Now I want to know what Eun Ha is gonna do.

This drama is so heartwarming and sweet, but this episode had me tearing up all over the place. I'm just so happy that Hae Jun's doubts can be put to rest. Having to live with the fear of being "returned" by the only father he's ever known. He knows that his dad love's him. But to hear from people, who have no right to have any opinion, tell him that he'll be returned is . . . awful. That type of fear leaves deep in side. Even though he knows his dad loves him and cherishes him. Doubt. It's a cruel thing. What was better was seeing San Ha being their completely for his brother. I think that's what made me have even more feels. More than the moving restaurant scene between father and son. Even blood siblings can be so cold. Despite what San Ha blood isn't everything and they're bonds are strong. Hae Jun's bio dad has to be way worst. The Aunt clearly was afraid. A man who abandons his son is one thing. Not to mention his mom having to flee and need money. There's more. Also, San Ha's mom is clearly going to be the next drama. Who is her little daughter calling oppa? What new torment is she going to drop on poor San Ha. Because the only thing she should bring back into his life is an apology. On the side note can we get a reveal of who is writing love letters to Ju Won? I'm happy that Hae Jun seemed unbothered. I feel like he is firmly in brother with her. I hope it doesn't turn into a weird love triangle. I also love the advice Ju Won's dad had for her about life, work, and college. I could have used better advice from my parents.

Hae Jun's mystery father at the end. I was wondering. I think his mom didn't want his bio dad to know. Or he's gonna use Hae Jun somehow. Also, I'm happy Hae Jun does seem more like a brother and that maybe, hopefully, we don't end up with a a love triangle. I actually love the idea of The class president pursuing He Jun. They already are so cute together!!!! I'm really loving how all the characters interact. How much they help each other out. Or get one another over an emotional hurtle and see the other side of things. It's great. Though I think Ju Won isn't wrong with the Dad's favoring the boys more. Just saying. I loved how San Ha immediately believes Ju Won. Hae Jun is still trying to find his back bone. He sees traits in the men in his life that he admires, and hopefully he'll soon feel more confidant. Not letting silly girls take advantage of him and keep them dating a secret. Or let people sway him. He's getting there. This is such a a cute and sweet drama so far. I'm super moved!

I feel bored. The second lead felt like such a waste. The town really knowing they were a couple was cute, but I just feel like the magic pittered out. They should have been a couple already and it was boring trying to make it seem like they weren't. Especially wasting time that could have spent to the other people!!!

I'm wondering why ever even bother with a Second Lead, if you're never really going to do anything? Hmmmmmm. If you're gonna have them. Utilize them. I don't like that Pyo Mi Seon feels bad about how she's been dating. If you don't date. You can't know a person. You're dating to find someone. Why be aloof. While I don't like her feeling bad about herself, I do like that she's done what she's wanted. Let him know she's serious and could truly like him now. But she's taking her power back and if that fool boy wants to do something than he needs to be up front and seek her out. Choi Eun Chul is a judgey person and I think he's inexperienced. He likes her, but I think he put his foot in his mouth. He has these ideals that he wants in a woman. He needs a wake up call."You think we have all this time in the world, but we have no time." That's a truth to live by. I like that Kim Gam Ri tells Doo Shik. She has a point! He took a knife for Hye Jin. How is he still in denial!!!!!? This episode had a lot of revelations and confessions. Yet, I felt a bit off with it. Sung Hyun honestly just feels like his character is an obligation. Oh, we need a Second Lead to add tension. Well he doesn't. I mean the story would be fine if he wasn't there, and I don't think he provides much insight into Hye Jin's past. I love the actor and I think he's good and cute! It's just . . . disappointing. He's added a little extra humor. I just thought the writing would do something different with him since he didn't show up until later. Which is very unusual. To be honest Yeo Hwa Jeong serving Yu Cho Hui a meal. And then saying how lonely she must be and basically offering friendship was the highlight of this episode for me! I'm want them to be friends so much. That ending though!!! Thank you for at least not dragging out that kiss. Now I'm pumped to see them enter a relationship!!!!!!!

Can I just say how much these men are playing with our ladies!!!! Hong Doo Shik keeps telling Yoon Hye Jin that they're just friends. Then when Pyo Mi Seon tells Choi Eun Chul that she'd like them to date. He goes on this spill about how he's old fashion and thinks people jump into dating before they get to know each other. Silly boy, isn't that wait dating is for!!!!!!??????? O_o Yikes!!! Then both men keep pulling the girls in. Hong Doo Shik is basically stalking Yoon Hye Jin and is always putting different vibes out there. Not to mention Choi Eun Chul then rushes to help out Pyo Mi Seon and give her a ride to her emergency. That said this episode was hilarious!!! Hong Doo Shik of course claims to be Yoon Hye Jin's boyfriend. Cause it was the only deal to deal with her parents to show up. More her dad. Though that's a silly reason. The whole town plays in on it and it's hilarious. It's interesting seeing Hye Jin's dad be completely turned off by Doo Shik. He even warms up to Ji Sung Hyun way faster. Which we get to see how long Ji Sung Hyun has wanted to be with Hye Jin. Boy does not want to lose his chance again. It looks like both Hye Jin's parents are in to him.I really want to know. Do Korean's have that hard of a time with orphans. It was crazy that Hye Jin's dad really seemed to think that Doo Shik had some kind of control over that. How can you hold anyone accountable for the loss of family members? Everyone must die at some point. (Wow, just googled it. I really hope it's not that bad. Shouldn't it be a blessing than to take in someone who has lost their family. Sheesh.) Which I'm glad that Hye Jin stood up to her dad and basically slapped him with the hypocrisy of it all considering she lost her mom. This was such a fun episode. Also, it's super clear that Yeo Hwa Jeon wanted that divroce. Her ex doesn't even know why it happened!!! Which makes me so said. How can you discard someone with out communicating first? You're not listening to that person. You're not respecting them. It's so cruel and selfish.

I knew Yeo Hwa Jeong was the one who forced the divorce! Which makes me slightly upset with her for being so hard on her ex! She's trying to step out of the way though so that Jang Yeong Guk can have shot, but I don't think it's occurred to her that maybe all Yu Cho Hui wants is friendship. Especially female friendship. She doesn't want to be regulated to the role of someone's first love. Oh, boy. Ji Sung Hyun doesn't want to beat around the bush. He's interested in Hye Jin. It just makes me sad that when the second leads clearly make intentions clear the female leads just shake them off. Normally because they want the first lead and nothing else will sway them. Doo Shik's jealousy kicks in and for a while I don't think he realizes what's happening. Until I think he starts to realize that he may indeed having feelings for Hye Jin. What's more is I feel like it's kind of clear to Sung Hyun that something is between them. He's not sure how much, but still wants to make his feelings known. I love how both men chase after the bad guy because Hye Jin says to. Especially when Doo Shik is asked by the thief why he chased after someone and he didn't even know why he was chasing. Easy, "Because Ms. Dentist asked me to."This episode was so charming on letting us get to know more about the residents and see how they live. Though a dark pervert darkens the town. Almost kidnapping Yu Cho Hui and stealing ladies undergarments and other things. A true creeper. Doo Shik realized that Hye Jin was leaning in!!!!!! But the thing is he's been the issue. Telling Hye Jin he's not interested. Insisting on friendship. Pushing into her comfort zone and insisting she change. Even though he clearly can't deny how he feels now. Oh, well. I'm thinking it has to do with those mysterious five years. OH!!!! And we learned about the mystery 3 thing. Someone in the town won the lotto way back when, but no one else has acted different. I wonder who it is. The obvious choice is our lead, but I'd like it if it was someone else.

Go Eun Ha is really interesting. I'm curious why she agreed to go out with Jang Hyeon U? Why can't she just out friend ask him if he lived where she did and if he by chance was her childhood friend. Is she actually interested in the man? I'm actually not feeling in chemistry between the two. It's so interesting how the men of the house are responding to Go Eun Ha. The one guy who hates her, but the others seem to love her. Now they're thinking she's gonna be their sister-in-law. It's odd how sweet it is that one of them wanted to give the boss and her a romantic thing. I'm never gonna think about penguin snuggles the same.

This is an interesting setup. Whether the Go Eun Ha's mysterious childhood friend is the obvious second lead, or the main male lead. Overall this was a fun episode building up how Go Eun Ha officially ends up living at Seo Ji Hwan. She's gonna tutor the boys and help them get a GED. Or some kind of education. I was not expecting Go Eun Ha to get drunk and kiss Seo Ji Hwan at the end there!!! That was shocking!!! And unexpected. I was honestly thinking a kiss might not ever happen. I expected this drama to be innocent to the end. Perhaps even the writers can't resist that deep voice and can't deprive Go Eun Ha of a kiss!

So is our Sweet Mobster who helped her out when she was younger? I thought maybe it was the prosecutor. Anywho, the way our Sweet Mobster is with the ML is so amazing. He's so gentle. And letting her stay there at his house and all of his men's reactions!!!! I also feel invested in the second romance blooming here!!Those poor mobsters didn't know what to think with a woman waking up among them!

Wow, this is such a wholesome drama. I could listen to the ML talk FOREVER. I love how much he's protecting our ML! Taking that hit for from the milk. Most importantly that playground time was perfection. I know he can't handle his alcohol so that's really what inspired it, but as an adult who can't help but play on the playground to find a guy to join me on it is one of my green flags.

Hong Doo Shik is right! Yoon Hye Jin keeps drawing these lines and being horrible. I wonder if there's more to her past than what we saw of that boyfriend? So crazy!!! This episode is so cute and I have to give a solid thanks to the writer for keeping the plots going! I'm so invested in all the characters. This episode had my so giddy. I felt for Yoon Hye Jin. Maybe it was that she was insulted he didn't just admit that they had kissed, or she just lashes out if she feels rejected. But. BUT I will say that Doo Shik is acting like more than just a friend. He's really pushing into her personal space and what she is comfortable letting him in at. He's the one that truly seems like he wants more. He's putting those vibes out there while telling her differently. This was such a beautiful episode for parent love. Especially the love a dad has for his daughter. I cried. It was so wonderful. That ending!!!!!!!!! HE-he-he!!!

My original review got deleted. So I'm a bit disheartened. But this episode was great. There's three great mysteries in Gongjin:
1) Why Jang Yeong Guk and Yeo Hwa Jeong got a divorce.
2) Where Hong Doo Shik was for the five years he wasn't in gongjin.
3) . . . . well Yoon Hye Jin's impatience lost us that one. Hopefully we find out soon. It was hilarious that everyone agreed that Hong Doo Shik was the better catch in the relationship than Yoon Hye Jin. All she has going for her is that's she a dentist. I'd like to see a flashback that her best friend, Pyo Mi Seon, stand for her. Now that I've had time to think about it Yoon Hye Jin looking down on others might be her defense mechanism. So when Pyo Mi Seon tells Yoon Hye Jin that she's not the catch in the relationship it hurts her. Her friend even alluding to her agreeing with the other towns folk. Which hurts. When Yoon Hye Jin confesses that she told Hong Doo Shik they're not on the same social level even her best friend can't stay silent. Bringing up what a past boyfriend did to her. Insulting Yoon Hye Jin. Dragging her through the mud saying her fashion and lack of wardrobe was so awful. Which is probably why Yoon Hye Jin is so caught up in using fashion as armor. It makes me sad that Yoon Hye Jin is hurting others how she was hurt in the past. Even making Hong Doo Shik test to prove he could get into a top college. I know it turned into the cutest moment. Still it was irksome. All of our other couples are having a grand time of it too. Jang Yeong Guk and Yeo Hwa Jeong are in an epic love triangle that even our LEADS joke about. It makes me wonder if Yeo Hwa Jeong is the one that wanted the divorce. Just a vibe I've got. After a hilarious moment with Choi Eun Chul and Pyo Mi Seon we find out that they're not each other's type either. But that doesn't mean they can't be. They both clearly like one another. There's clearly going to be a Bromance between Hong Doo Shik and Ji Sung Hyun. Ji Sung Hyun is in Yoon Hye Jin's flashback so June is not going to be the second lead. Instead it's gonna be Ji Sung Hyun. So that will be interesting. You can already see both male leads like one another. So it's cute. Where Ji Sung Hyun and Yoon Hye Jin haven't had actual screen time together I'm not sure how they're gonna sell him as another love interest. I'm already firmly on board team Hong Doo Shik!! Most importantly is that amazing ending. When the rain frolicking triggers memories for Yoon Hye Jin that she remembers kissing Hong Doo Shik. She initiated it. Then we're brought to a flashback of Hong Doo Shik. He's suffering nightmares and I'm beyond curious what it's from. The bloody hand . . . he wakes up next to his leading lady with a cute smile. Why isn't he being more honest with himself? It's cruel. Maybe something in his past holding him back . . . .I feel like he would just go for the lady he's interested in.

OM-Dramas! That boy ran! He ran barefooted to get to his woman!! I love it when dramas add these little sweet POVs from the main leads. So we can get the full story. Not to mention that I think Yoon Hye Jin let herself get drunk around Hong Doo Shik. They likes each other. I love that Pyo Mi Seon [Hye Jin's best friend] is totally aware that Yoon Hye Jin is interested in Hong Doo Shik, but she knows her friend well enough not to say it out loud. Yoon Hye Jin is a warrior! She was not having that sexual harassment happen to her best friend, let alone having him talk smack about her. I also like the highlight on woman's rights in Korea. Talking about the special unit. I've hit drama gold here! I am so invested in all the couples. I'm truly fascinated with why Jang Yeong Guk and Yeo Hwa Jeong broke up. Espeically since they're hinting at one another that they maybe miss each other. Yeo Hwa Jeong even cooked more food for the man. Until his first love shows up. Seeing her so sad in the kitchen was hard. My poor girl. Pyo Mi Seon has been so cute about her crush on Choi Eun Chul [Police substation's constable]. It made me sad that she was so jittery after the sexual harassment, but I think Choi Eun Chul really handled it well. He's clearly into her too! So cute!!!!!!!!Wait, enter June? I wasn't sure if he'd really show up. Cause I wasn't sure how it would work into the writing. Wow, though. To come in at the end of episode 4. He's clearly going to be second lead. It was so cute how Yoon Hye Jin and the bratty coffee girl bonded over their love for June. So sweet. Now, that ending? Did something happen? I feel like Hong Doo Shik would never do something. That's why she trusted him to get drunk around. This whole episode is so awesome! I feel like it's turning into such a wonderful feel good drama!!!!! Episode 4 is here. Yeah, I'm in.
