Episode Title: Prejudices
Qiao Man hides from the Wei army, which wants to kill her for morale, but in the end, she ends up between both armies. Liu Yan professes his love and calls her his jewel, to which she replies, "But you treat others as ants." She runs into Wei Shao's arms, and the two armies battle. She holds a grudge toward Wei Shao, who wants her killed even after she had helped him in battle. They clear up their misunderstanding, but he's still resisting the marriage alliance because of his grudge against her family. He seems to be slowly softening towards her.

Qiao Man is working her butt off here! I'm so glad she got to meet up with her sister again, and I wonder a bit if she knew she was being overheard . . . or just said those things to make her sister feel better. I love that the man her sister ran away with is the warrior that they need and that her sister will actually be helping out with some of Qiao Man plans.

That battle at Panyi was one of the best. I've lost count of the number of times I rewatched that scene.

He's slowly softening towards her, he'll bend in no time then. And I like her sister s character a lot, and her handsome lover, So from what she said, he'll be getting more screentime then and gaining wealth and status too. And Manman forces Wei Shao to do things by manipulation and it's funny the way she does it. Pretty like a flower, yes she does look like it. And I'm still obsessed with Wei Shao and Manman, I like the story a lot, still hooked even after episode 4. And that'll continue I just know it.

episode after episode, the excellence continues. i am hooked now, i usually wait until a drama is fully aired, however i do not think i am going to be able to resist continuing to watch this one day by day.

Even though I was happy, I found the rapprochement between Wei Shao and Xiao Qiao to be too fast. The scene where Wei Shao, who usually never listens to his advisor, expects support from him this time was funny. The scene where Xiao Qiao praised Wei Shao to her cousin Fan and Wei Shao puffed out his chest was funny and sweet 😻 I was surprised to see Bi Zhi being so strong. I hope cousin Fan and Bi Zhi live happily ever after. I was also touched by the scene where Xiao Qiao was sad that her grandfather died 😭😭😭😭

Qiao Man finds herself between two armies. Wei Shao is surprised she chooses him. I also think he was touched about the importance she put on the lives of people in general. That the other side shot arrows her way after declaring her a gem was quite the irony. Wei Shao rescues her and she punches his face. I am honestly surprised she could reach that high😂 He is stunned a bit by that and the angry woman squatting on ground beside him mad at men in general😂 All his sidekicks make excuse to leave so he can deal with it. She tells him she’s not marrying period. I am not sure if he was relieved or sorry. She pleads ill and stays inside. Right when he goes to check on her he see she is leaving. He follows her and overhears her chat with big sister. He finds out that she stepped in to marry him so her sister could marry someone else. He thrusts out his chest and straightens his shoulders as Qiao Man tells how ‘heroic’ he is.🤣Little by little he is starting to care about her. In her speech to the people of Panyi, she admits her family failing to keep their word because of building a canal. She speaks of the hardships they went through. She inspires them to help Wei Shao finish building the canal that will join two cities and help crops. Wei Shao found that she learned of his plans reading the annals he gave her and studying the maps. She is claiming the land and people for Wei. It was a very good day with one huge exception. Her grandfather had passed away that night and she did not get to say goodbye. While her family mourns, others were not happy she handed Panyi over to Wei.

I love this episode.The scene where Xiao Qiao is trapped between Wei Shao's troops and Liu Yan's reveals Wei Shao's feelings towards Xiao Qiao.
