Episode Title: The Marriage
As news of her grandfather's death reaches Qiao Man, she is overcome with grief but is determined to fulfill his dying wish. What would normally be a joyous occasion was a somber one as the marriage ceremony was a reminder for the Wei clan that Qiao Gui was not slain by them but died of old age. They soon set off for Yujun for the memorial rites of Wei Shao's brother, father and grandfather. Wei Shao leaves Qiao Man's carriage outside the city with specific instructions to his cousin to allow passage once the rites are over. The cousin follows his mother's instructions instead, leaving Qiao Man outside while still unwell from wounds sustained in Panyi.

My girl suffered a lot because of that vicious Cousin, and I hope that Manman will put her in her place. And it was obvious since Wei was out of the city for so long so he would definitely be that busy, but that cousin didn't want to let manman enter the city and even tried to drove her out of her home (spouse home so hers ofcourse). And his mother is in it with his cousin. I already don't like her character.

Her whole upbringing and choices formed her into someone who sees the greater picture and that the needs of one person can be put aside for the many. He has only known the loss of family due to a betrayed promise. They both have to come to terms but for now, they are doing what must be done. And poor Wei Shao's mother is no help whatsoever.

The story is developing now into something really interesting, the writers have done a really go job with the script.

Finally someone caught that lynx, thank you Wei Shao 😻 Unfortunately, the wedding didn't feel like a wedding. Because it was a wedding in the shadow of revenge. I felt sorry for Wei Shao, he had difficulties since he was little and even went against his fears and turned into a vengeful person. Wei Shao's uncle is definitely not a good person. I feel sorry for Xiao Qiao, she already has a mother-in-law who will upset her and she will have to deal with our role as a girl who is definitely in love with Wei Shao 😭😭😭😭 The scene where Wei Shao carries Xiao Qiao was very beautiful. Every episode so far has been good and flowing. I can't wait to watch the other episodes

I do not know how Wei Shao managed to treat Qiao Man with such respect and so horridly at same time. He showed her respect that she was worth hunting a lynx, but then for the wedding ceremony he makes no effort to taste meal and pours the ceremonial couples toast out before memorial. His army and family lament her grandfather died rather than getting executed. He takes his new bride home to park her outside the gate. Considering the treachery from her family, this was something that should have been done tho kinder arrangements could have been made for her. At the ceremony he gets to question an uncle about not helping in Xindu who swears up and down he received no letter. Then he left an old friend in charge of bringing his wife in when ceremony complete. Not only did she fail to do that, her mother had a fake letter of divorce written up and henchmen to send off Qiao Man’s carriage. She is inside burning up with fever and her maid was most valiant pleading for her and trying to fight off the men. Wei Shao’s men were most reluctant to assist but did finally send a messenger to check on validity of events happening. Wei Shao saves the day to get her but then is carrying her back so they both are going to be drenched and ill.😝 He is not seeming so heroic to me at this time because no matter how much his friends betrayed him….he had a wife he was responsible for and he failed. She had proved repeatedly that she was trying to advance his goals and he treated her worse than a servant. While it was inadvertently done, he can’t be pointing fingers too much at how evil the Qiaos are right now😝 I think he successfully sunk to their level in lack of support.

What a mesmerizing Ep! That part where Qiao Man left outside of the city, where is her's maid pledging and begging to be allowed to enter, is so such wretching moment. It clutch and palpating my heart.
