6/10 Just confide in her already!

Lying to the person you love is always one of the most annoying drama tropes! I've said it in previous reviews for Eternal Love. At least Bai Qian says as much to him. Though saying "you never tell me everything." Really? More like he never tells you ANYTHING. Of course he pulls out that "trust me and never question me" bull card. Ugh! It just drives me bonkers! Bonkers! Totally off topic, but Li Jing has 3,000 ladies in his harem. Boy. I guess if you live that long you can be with all of them. (I assume STDs are not an issue for immortals!) Back on topic Ye Hua is gone for half a year! Bai Qian faithfully waits. Though I feel like the real Bai Qian would be so pissed. He did not mention when she asked him to be with her that he would vanish for huge long spells. Sure Bai Qian waited with Mo Yuan's body. But that is another matter. I will give props to Ye Hua for deciding that he will be with Bai Qian period. Faking is death and all is bold. I didn't think he'd dare. Though if he had the guts to marry Bai Qian like that I should have guessed he meant business. Feng Jiu's drunken fruit business was adorable! It just hit me that Dujin reminds me of an even more aloof Legolas! Anyone else? Especially his knowing smiles. Their interactions just made me squee allover the place! Though I think they might be pushing the clumsiness too far. Back it up! *clap-clap-clap*

7/10 Very good.

Phew! Two weddings! Firstly it's so crazy how bad I still feel for foolish Li Jing. Clearly he has to have figured out what happened. That Xuan Nu played him. Xuan Nu also has to realize that. Not to mention that Li Jing's poor sister is such a sweet soul that she sympathizes with Xuan Nu. Look out, Xuan Nu is a demon and I'm worried about how that will go down. Li Jing's many near misses actually broke my heart a little. Thing is he's a foolish boy and nothing with Bai Qian would work out. Because even with her memories gone Bai Qian still has a clear mind of betrayal. If she can still have a feeling of that betrayal what about all of her other personality traits? The wedding was beautiful and I can't believe how fast that happened. Or how fast Ye Hua was willing to go through with it. He was so happy Bai Qia proposed! It was so sweet. My girl is still awesome. >_< The second wedding was sadder. As Su Jin readies to become a concert. The plan his the Heavenly Lord will never bother with her and she's wants to be left alone. Wouldn't being single do the same thing? Or is it to avoid a ill marriage and she can always be around Ye Hua? Ha-ha. Dijun's knowing looks are getting to me! He just loved how that was all planned out so that Feng Jiu could finally show him that she is there. Not to mention all those immortals helping her out. I think they are all loving a chance to tease Dijun. Though they probably see what the viewers do too. It's only a matter of time before Feng Jiu realizes she truly does like him. Though if I was her I might be a little annoyed about them not believing the debt thing. This was a great character episode. Even the Star Lords and Third Prince's talk about lessons on why an ex-lover you truly loved is a bad thing. >_< Happy wedding night Bai Qia and Ye Hua! What sweet kisses!

So Bai Qian has to be made dumb for this romance to work?!? She's lost her memories, not her core self! She'd still have her intelligence. Not to mention if she got lost before--for eight days!!--shouldn't she have been even more aware. I mean she was doing great before. She furniture that house and kept her self well taken care of while taking care of the animals. (Where is the kitten by the way?) Even Ye Hua's condescending remark about how he likes her even if she's dumb. Except I can't even harness the rude way he said it! Yuck! When she get's her memories back she better smack him down with her ability to not be a brainless damsel! Not only that but he settled for tricks to join her down there. It was hilarious when he realized he went too far with his wounds. It's a really great story, I just hate how they have to bring Bai Qian down so that she is a damsel. You know the male has to be superior in every way blah-blah. They made her amazing! Why take it away now?

7/10 Very good.

There is know denying that Feng Jiu is absolutely adorable! I'm so happy the writer found a great balance for her character so that she isn't annoying. Plus, props need to be given to the actress for not over doing it. I'm really enjoying Feng Jiu and Dijun's interactions. While Feng Jiu still believes that she's just paying her debut, I feel like it could easily turn into more. I'd actually like it if she paid her debt and moved on. Maybe Dijun realizes he likes her, but Feng Jiu is still able to have a romance before settling down? I do love well rounded romances/experiences for characters. The Goddess who helps Feng Jiu become a maid is very interesting. I also like hearing about Third Princes' woman. He clearly was in love with her, but it worked out okay. It really makes him more understandable why he's helping everyone else get love. Overall I like the balance between Feng Jiu and Bai Qian's story. Things are really fleshing out nicely. Not to mention building up!

Wow! So a day in heaven is a year on earth! Cool. That will lend to what I figured would happen. Ye Hua meeting Bai Qian. All I can say is who knew romance with a snake could be so darn cute! The CGI has been to great, but they must have been saving their money to make the snake work just for this purpose. Well done. Not to mention how adorable was it that Ye Hua made that Deity stop the rain? (Very fangirl reaction!) Boy that didn't take long for him to be enchanted by Bai Qian. ^_-Dong Hua Dijun is clearly putting things together. There's no way he doesn't know that Bai Qian was Si Yin. I thought he knew well before, but I think now he HAS to know. Simply waiting on the hard proof. Normally Feng Jiu character type would drive me up the walls. Despite being clearly spoiled and untrained her cuteness and kindness are too much even for me! Dijun better watch it! He's already enchanted by her adorableness. I love Feng Jiu and the Starlords reactions together. Snake! I love her. She's such a wonderful character. Even through it all she's loyal to Bai Qian. While a lot could have gone smoother if she hadn't left, even her love can't break her loyalties to the person who saved her. I really hope Snake can find some real happiness and safety. I admire Second Prince for loving her that much. I hope they're happy together. I find it ironic that Ye Hua's mother said he would be happier as Sea Lord, and now Second Prince will be one! May that be a good omen. >_<Goodness. That whole fan fiasco was crazy. I get that Bai Qian has lost her memories. Still I don't think that would alter her basic core self! No way would she let scum like that play her. Next thing you know their gonna make her dumb. She's really done well for herself all alone with no memory, so clearly my girl still is awesome.

Holly dramas! Mo Yuan has the beard and Ye Hua doesn't! Duh. I mean it is right there in the cast too. I just . . . had a dumb-dumb moment. *sighs* I was so focused on everything else. Though I won't lie. I'm one of those people that if you put on facial hair you're in disguise and I can't tell! Ha-ha. The phoenix who is a friend to the fox clan is quite well versed in playing the political games. Getting exactly what he wants for his brother. I do believe he is Mo Yuan's brother, son of Dong Hua Dijun. At least he's able to help poor Ye Hua out. Heavenly Father needs a take down. I am all for it. Just watching Second Prince and Snake like that. My emotion!!! Argh! I'll fight for them! (I mean it a nice knife to the back with a speacial twist.) Speaking of my blood thirsty ways. I'm with that poor concubine. Xuan Nu is destined to meet a cruel end. A very cruel and grim end. If that doesn't happen shame upon the writer. Making me blood thirsty and not feeding the monster! If feel gleeful that maybe she's not barren, but Li Jing won't touch her. While judgey it feels so right. That said I feel awful for Su Jin! Her whole clan sacrifices thier lives to keep the Celstials safe! They give her the title of princess and have the First Prince's wife raise her. Then shame her by treating her like she has no connections. They all died for them! Sheesh. I hope she gets an amazing love and story. Please! (I also vote she turns into a warrior princess!) For the longest time I thought Bai Qian. (Which was so cruel after one of the best walks down memory lane ever!) I mean it. So she was able to seal the Ghost Lord up, but he still got a fighting kick out. Damit! I want her to be amazing how she is. Now she'll be just defenseless mortal woman for Ye Hua to save when he goes down to the mortal realm to save the people from that tiger. *sighs* Or, maybe I'm not giving the writer enough credit. A great episode! Made all the better by Dong Hua Dijun smiling when he takes the flute from that guy. Know that Feng Jiu traded it for his bells. I am digging it! Not to mention how cute Feng Jiu and Bai Qian are together. I want more womance for them. >_< I'm still nervous about the whole amnesia thing. Bai Qian being banished to the mortal realm, memory wiped, to live as a mortal feels like a giant NO! To me. Guess Bai Qian won't be getting any justice for snake.

"You were born for the world, not for a woman." Personally I save shove it to the Heavenly Father. Shove it hard. Seeing that flashback and Ye Hua's (AKA the Golden Lily) mother's reaction to seeing her son I want to kill that jerk! No wonder he's not in favor right now! Phewy! While one month is too fast I actually think Snake and Second Prince are adorable together! Snake is cursed though! For Heavenly Father to just take his wraith out on her like that. Now I think I'd like to knife him in that back. Just for Snake. Seriously. Now is no one not protesting? This is why Heavenly Father is in poor standing. People revolt!!!! I want Bai Qian to storm the palace for snake. Bitch slap a certain Heavenly father. That said I'm so happy to see Bai Qian's father is alive!!! Alive! Last we saw of him he was severely injured. So I just needed a visual to be reassured. *cough* I called it Dong Hua Dijun is getting a taste of his own medicine. (Why is he just Dong Hua on the cast page?) People are even just call him Dijun. I google Dijun it is a name.) Grown up Feng Jiu is so cute. Not to mention I'm in love with the idea of her winning over Dijun's heart. No really. Tell me you went just secretly melting inside. I do love a couple like this. They're my weakness. Though there's plenty of episodes for calamity to fall. Or for Feng Jiu to find someone else. *winks* These is really developing nicely. I just knew Bai Qian would end up engaged to Ye Hua! The flashbacks just made me so much more sure. Especially since Heavenly Father has a serious issue with men being in love. That guy has some serious sexist issues. *raises eyebrow* No really. This guy is like "women are play things, you don't love them!" Holy no. Poor Ye Hua is being turned into an emotionless jerk. He's a few personality traits from being a cold psycho or something. Clearly things are coming together nicely. Maybe this is the meat of the story and we're out of Prelude terroitory? It's been a surprisingly decent build up. There's still an obvious question of Mo Yuan and the Ghost Lord breaking out soon. All in all things are shaping up well!

Yikes! First the fox was giving birth for 10 days. Now just a two day pregnancy is taking 7! These poor celestial ladies. Popping a celestial baby out seems to take for ever . . . .I doubt they get a lengthy conception worthy of such a sacrifice. *giggles* So I think the translators are messing up which Heavenly Father is which. Because I"m sure it's just being lost in translation. Imagine my surprise that Mo Yuan is the son of the original Heavenly Father. The white haired one. This is still really choppy. Like the snake spirit Si Yin took in. But I'll call her Bai Qian from now on because . . . time jump. Also, speaking of the translating it clearly shows everyone referring to her as a girl not a guy. But no one knows even in the future. So I think they just messed up or thought we'd get confused. Before the time jump there's a lot to cover. It hit me that the true meat of this story, or what the writer truly wants us to focus on, is going to be further. All of this is a prelude. There's so much info though that the prelude needs a prelude!!!! There's so many fancy things happening. The wife of the second prince, 7 day labor, gives birth to the Golden Lily. Wow! I thought so, but Mo Yuan still needs to come back. Because even Bai Qian has to realize that what she's doing is not the love of a disciple for a master. Girl has got it bad for Mo Yuan. Which is probably a good thing for both her and Li Jing that he cheated on her. Because that love would have totally stood between them eventually. Because Li Jing was just fooling herself that she was not in love with Mo Yuan. If not, then that is one heck of a type of love.Because that time jump I was talking about happens 70,000 years later. Bai Qian has stayed in Qing Qio (her land) that whole time. Keeping company with Mo Yuan's corpse. Yeah . . . . there's no way to convince me that she is not in love with him. She's lying to herself. Another shocking things is there are only 7 days to the Ghost Lord breaking out of the bell. Go Bai Qian for being ready to face him. HOWEVER. They just left that bell in the river???? WTF!!!!!! Why are they treating such destructive weapons so callously???? There's also a glitch about where the fox king went? Was it like his wife said they left and Bai Qian is in charge. Or did he die after getting those herbs to save Bai Qian? Who got a power up from her mother merging essences. This is truly choppy. Are her parents okay? Because I really like them. The arranged marriage Bai Qian had apparently still stands. The second prince comes to finally meet and for a month she puts him off. Of course he falls for the lovely snake spirit that Bai Qian saves. I actually think they're a cute couple, but poor Bai Qian. The guys don't care to try. ^_-I still feel like there was a better way to do this. Look at all the information that Ice Fantasy had for it's setup, continuing story, and "twists". It was told so fluidly. *sighs* Still I am very intrigued by Eternal Love's story. I hope that it will finally settle down. Soon.

Previous episode I got caught up in the battle and overall awesomeness of that. Things are slowing down after Mo Yuan's death, AKA Master. The episode bogs down with a lot of information dumps and setup. So everyone who knows Mo Yuan has figured he has figured out to come back. I wonder if the only way is for his body to stay preserved? Leading me to questions if it's Si Yin luck that kept her alive from piercing her heart? Will it eventually kill her? Why can't her blood preserve his body after one "drink"? So many unanswered questions. To be honest I truly believe Li Jing and Xuan Nu are meant for each other. Si Yin is right. Now if only Li Jing would quit being wishy-washy. He could reign in Xuan Nu as an ally. Because that fool should see by know you don't piss Xuan Nu off. He already had an impression that if things went south with his brother taking over she would have fled from him to save her own skin. So there's more setup for future kids becoming adults. Su Jin is named after her tribe for the 100,000 soldiers who died in that trick/diversion to capture the Ghost Lord. Now she is to be raised by one of Heavenly Father's son's and his wife. She is Princess Zhau Rin. The golden lotus has also accepted the new mother of Zhau Rin. I take it the golden lily will turn into a son for her. The hold heavenly lord is clearly not done and retired. He is a meddler all right! I feel like he should get a shocking taste of his own medicine in the future if you know what I mean. ^_-Side note I totally freaked out about 4th brother outing Si Yin as a girl until I realized it was Mo Yuan's bother. The one who brought her to him! Ha-ha! My other note is the director needs to clean up his shots. If someone is sitting to the right of a person. When doing close ups you keep them on the same side. Otherwise it's very disorienting.

8/10 Awesome.

Very impressive epic battle. All I can say is: "Ninth Disciple!!!!!!!!" I'm very curious if Master had an idea of what was going to happen. Clearly there's an extra secret somewhere as he gave the spell to Si Yin. Or maybe it's just so someone else would no. Just in case. The "wait for me" was a clear plot declaration there. One I'm eager to discover. What does the soul scattering mean? Or that the golden lily darkened? Clearly some form of reincarnation must be happening? This was very impressive. If you've been able to piece things together it's a marvel. Otherwise you might still be lost, but can still appreciate it. The battle scenes were pretty darn amazing. The individual fights as well. Though I feel like some big battle holes are there. Like why wouldn't they shoot Si Yin with arrows too? Hmmmm. Or many other points where characters should have been targeted or even killed. Either way this was pretty awesome for such a huge battle right at the beginning.

Nothing is more satisfying then when the fool (usual the male idiot ^_-) suddenly realizes his mistakes. When Li Jing looks over at Xuan Nu realizing how much she's played him it was priceless. Though a bit later I think he's still to prideful to fully realize how much he was used. Not to mention how much he lost. Master was right: "Li Jing had bright eyes, but he was a fool." Me paraphrasing there. Si Yin truly grieved and it was touching. I know it sounds odd, but I do love any story in which the female lead experiences true relationships. Such as the first man not being "the one". Either she breaks up with him, betrayal, or something happens. Though who knows if later on they'll patch things up. (I doubt it. I want Si Yin to be the woman lead of my heart. She don't take back no fool!!) That note I think we need more information on this Golden Lily, stat! More characters are mentioning it and the importance it is that Master (AKA God of War, I just like calling him master like Si Yin) is taking car of it. Especially after the Golden Lily took on spirit form again. Talking to Si Yin and it's clear that flower boy/man likeys Si Yin!! We got quite a bit of information on that killer bell. Which I think I now know what's coming. What a spoiler if you can figure out plots well! Okay, with the first Prince of the Ghost realms evil smile I thought Xuan Nu was getting some serious karma payback. I think she is, but she's clearly still playing her her games. I'm wondering if the Ghost Lord did that to make it realer, or Xuan Nu is just so brainwashed by her disappointment in her position within the Celestials she's blind? Clearly there's more games going on. Xuan Nu is a woman who believes she's scorned and she's avenging out on everyone. Poor first disciple. He genuinely cared. If Xuan Nu was smart she probably could have landed him. Or another guy. Anywho, for a moment when she was apologizing to Si Yin I really bought it! This epsiode is definitely proving that things are getting real. The battle cry is out and Si Yin will be joining the war. Ghost Realm is ready to take over. Though I'm super worried about Master.

5/10 - So disappointed in Li Jing.

Well Li Jing was easily led astray and swayed. I had such high hopes. After he follows Si Yin to the mountain. Then even ninth disciple vouches for him. I really thought this love story was going to go somewhere good. It's disappointing how easily Li Jing was tricked. I suppose he just wanted a woman who easily said yes and had no other people in her heart. He was so ready to disband his wives (how does one do that?). Maybe it was a sign that he doesn't stick to anyone? It broke my heart that Si Yin discovered that after that letter. Not to mention how much she's helping Xuan Nu out. Even coming up with that clever plan to make her mother leave so she wouldn't have to marry the bear. Xuan Nu really turned fast. That flashback to Bai Qian and her talk of jealousy and the face changing. Makes me wonder if Xuan Nu knows Si Yin is indeed Bai Qian. Why else would she go for Li Jing so swiftly. I can't imagine being with a Ghost Prince is better than a black bear? Or who knows about which status is better. Though it seems Ghosts are really down on the totem. This is really ramping up the story. So it's clear Si Yin doesn't see Master that way. Though I keep getting vibes from master he might. An interesting setup no doubt. Though I'm not sure if the writers can save Li Jing for me. I hate easily swayed men. Especially after they make the moves and confessions. So easily led astray.

4/10 Things are getting better now that I have a sense of the world and order.

First up! What is with those wine goblets in the Ghost Realm? Hmmmm. What is that leg? I think maybe a bird of prey. Though I'd be tickled if it was a chicken leg!!!!!! This whole episode everyone has forgotten about the "only" woman allowed on Kunlun Mountain. Si Yin's cousin. Even Si Yin brother showed up and now one talked about the poor sister hiding from a terrifying forced marriage? Yikes. That said the plot is clicking into place. I see away for Li Jing to take up the place of Ghost Lord and eventually get his lady as I believe Si Yin will have to become Bai Qian for an arranged marriage. Another thing I'm seeing with Chinese dramas. Feels like a gender bender is always thrust in. The big thing is for a sister to fall in love with the "dude", but one of her brother's knows it's a woman and he's in love. We've got confirmation, heart felt confessions, and proposal here! Wow. I'll give it to Li Jing. He wastes no time and you got a love a man who knows his heart. (Side though: How many wives does he have? Those women aren't concubines/hookups?) At this point the story is getting better as I'm putting all the people, world, and hierarchy together. Though I think if you don't read or watch a lot of epic fantasy you're still gonna have one heck of a time figuring it out at this point. There's still some really out there things. Like the golden lily manifesting a ghost body. Clearly that's gonna be something important. That we have no information on except for it getting a body. I'm left to believe that Si Yin hasn't been taking studies for 20,000 years properly as she failed her godly ascension. Which is annoying to me. Also, makes me wonder why Master is treating her this way. I feel like it should be fatherly love. But I'm getting seriously romantic vibes. Serious. Romantic. Vibes. Again awesome fight scenes here. There's some already tied up romances and clearly there's going to be more as the cast expands. Overall the setup is finally starting to move forward better.

3/10 Really poor quality. What a mess!

All right I think maybe I've got some solid information. There are Celestials, Demons, and Ghosts. Though I'm not sure but I think each group has gods, spirits, and something else. Spirits can ascend to Godhood. Really this is a mess. Prelude or some form of decent information giving please!!Si Yin's sister shows up. Who is also fooled by Si Yin being a man and buys that Si Yin is her cousin. Hmmmmmmm. This cousin/sister is trying to escape from a Bear Spirit who wishes to marry her. Then the God of War takes a month away. He wants his Ninth Disciple to watch out for Si Yin as she will soon be ascending to godhood. See messy. Then of course Si Yin being the mischievous fox she is talks the Ninth Disciple out to a little adventure. Where they are then captured by the King of Ghosts, but attacked by his enemies of rebel group. Now Si Yin and Ninth Disciple are prisoners. All while Si Yin gets, of course, the Ghost Princess to crush on her. Ninth Disciple is harassed by the King of Ghosts. So on.Oh, and the Gold Louts was a gift from Heavenly Father. It will turn into a human form if properly taken care of. Really this should get a 2/10. Thing is I was enjoying myself. I just hope things can be made clearer sooner.Random things that made me enjoy this episode:
1. Apparently Heavenly Father got his all mighty rule by the last God of Heaven and Earth, ruler of the world who ceded his position. The old ruler supreme ruler is Nong Hua Dijun. Who just setup an arranged/alliance marriage for the current Heavenly Father and our one and only Si Yin. Or Si Yin's female self Bai Qian. Becasue the Ghost Lord has "The Bell of the East Emperor than can destroy heaven and Earth". Due to an alliance of peace which I think was stupid. With a name like that destruction is inevitable with someone like the Ghost Lord.
2. So after that lengthy one above it's the clear setup of Bai Qian/Si Yin clearing meeting Li Jing (Ghost Lord's Second Prince). So far I believe Li Jing thinks Si Yin is indeed a dude.
3. So it's Li Jing's sister who has a crush on Si Yin. I'm curious exactly what he's planning to help his sister's crush escape? See this is a lot to follow. Even for my notes for this episode I have notes just for me to help keep things straight. Just in case.

4/10 Not very good. Most peole are gonna be hard pressed to piece this world and actions together.

So I dumped Demon Girl for Eternal Love. Demon Girl was awful. However, it had one thing going for it that I think Eternal Love could really use. Clearly needs. The beginning introduction that introduces readers to the world and lore behind it. AKA the most important part of any Epic/High Fantasy creations (*cough*BOOKS*cough*) the glorious PRELUDE!!!?Because boy is Eternal Love got a lot going. (Which if I might say Ice Fantasy did a wonderful job at introducing characters, world, and lore right off the bat.) So far I understand that there is the Heavenly Father. Whom I assume is the supreme leader. Our leading lady, Bai Qian, is a White Fox Spirit . . . which is under the status of a God. So Bai Qian was being mentored by a phoenix spirit, but was then signed up to be the disciple to God of War. The God of War is apparently high up on the hierarchy as he is Heavenly Father's first wife's son. Apparently for 20,000 years she chills as a man, being called Si Yin, because only men are allowed on the mountain where the God of War is. There's a mortal realm and other creatures. Apparently Ghosts are the enemy. Not bad piecing things together? Right! I wonder if this is Chinese lore that is basic, so they don't feel the need to expand upon it. Though clearly dramas are seen every where so it just seems lazy not to try and clue people in.Si Yin is kidnapped and things are heavily implied that God of War has the hots for "him." Also, he new from the beginning that Si Yin is woman. We get an exciting battle from the kidnapping and other interactions. There's a mysterious lotus introduced weirdly at the end. Which their better be a continuation on or that was just . . . and odd add.Overall I think people who are not use to reading epic fantasy may not be able to follow this well or start to piece things together. I'm starting to see why my drama friend suggested I give it 6 episodes, or a bit more, before making a decision on this show. It's dense.
