Title His Man Season 3 Spoiler
While there were no surprises in the final choices, I really liked how everything panned out. "Who made your heart flutter the most during this week". Hwi couldn't call anyone but Seongmin, even if I'd have loved a late Hwi & Seungjin match too. I also don't think, Hwi realized Seungjin's feelings until that final voice message. Hwi really was the main "character" this season. I loved following his journey and growth. I hope he and Seungjin manages to stay friends. Their connection was so lovely to watch.

The talks and conflict resolutions were some of my fave moments this season. Especially the last one between Hwi and Jaeseung was so nicely portrayed. Jaeseung was way more emotional and fragile, than he was shown in most episodes. It was unfortunate that not only he but Seongmin in particular kept being put in situations, that weighed so heavily on them. Whenever they laughed or smiled, it was like coming up for air.

If there's a season 4, I hope the production team lessens their level of interfering and considers more carefully how story lines and cast members are edited, because it exposes the cast to unneccessary backlash during and after the show. I also hope they reintroduce the Jenga game. Releasing the coming out stories as a behind the scenes-clip and not keeping it in the show was a mistake.

I loved seeing the post-show date between Myeonggyun & Minseon, but episode 14 was a mistake too. A few photos like season 2 would've been enough. However important I think it is to show, that for most couples who match, it really is just a fleeting, surface level connection and/or attraction, that doesn't last, when they return to their daily lives, the Hanmin & Yeongjoon "breakup" was too staged and felt very scripted. The production team should've learned by now, what kind of core audience, they're dealing with. They did both of these men dirty by airing it and subjecting especially Hanmin to even more completely unneccessary online hate.

The His Man-series is about so much more than romance and "final couples". I felt for, understood and grew to like every single cast member. I applaud their bravery for moving into that house and hope, they find their individual happiness. ❤️

Another season ended and viewers still haven't learned anything. Acting like clowny children and filling up the cast members IG comments with delusional and hateful words, because your "ship" didn't sail or stick? I don't care, if these are written by 13 year olds. Do some reflecting and be accountable for your words and actions. It's literally been a year. These men don't owe us anything. Please grow up.

It's a dating show, of course, so I always go in expecting to watch people create sparks and possibly find romance. However, I usually end up staying for the community and friendships.
This show wasn't perfect. There were things, that didn't work and they should consider changing, if there will ever be a season 2, but the men and overall vibe was so heartfelt, moving and supportive. And that makes for a great watch. I spent the majority of the final episode crying my eyes out. ❤️

(Ikuo gives AMAZING hugs. I want one).

Oh no. Based on the trailer I think, I misunderstood Minho's role. If this ends up being 12 episodes of him as a soft boy with his bangs down, I’m not going to handle it maturely.

Hands down the strongest episodes so far!
I spent most of episode 11 laughing. I even began jotting down funny comments and situations, because I wanted to remember them afterwards, but quickly gave up, because there were too many. Then I spent basically all of episode 12 crying. My god, the emotional hits just kept coming. I fell a little for each of the men and then the group as a whole during these episodes. Whatever happens in the twists & turns department in the final stretch, I don't care. I got everything I wanted in these two episodes.

Too many noteworthy moments, so I'll just 1) call YJ out on his bullshit (I'm sure, when he watched that chatroom talk with MS afterwards, he realized it too) and 2) applaud SJ and MS for being incredibly lovely people. At one point I think I just cried, because they were so kind and caring to the others. Some people online should take note.

JS-Hwi endgame would've been the most dramatic and satisfying storyline His Man has seen over 3 seasons.
It's very silly, but I'd NEVER heard of croffles before, so whenever there's a lull in an episode, these are the low levels my brain visit for entertainment. It doesn't help either, that Mr. Croffle is Jaeseung. He should do a collab with Seonwoo/Melted.

...and for a moment I actually considered it a real possibility, but that's not how this croffle crumbles.

The irony of the current KH & JS status is, they had the date with the most tension and chemistry in the show so far. It's a bummer, JS hasn't been able to go on more dates, because he's by far the best at flirting in that house. I do feel for him. Even when he sits on that couch all dressed up and ready to grab the next mission card, nothing lines up. At this point he's one missed opportunity away from putting on that Seonwoo bonnet and calling it a day. JS did have some nice self-aware comments about being in the game as the older participant. His trip to the amusement park was cute. I enjoyed watching him smile and laugh for once.

Besides the calm & collected MK/YJ convo, it was nice seeing SM finally putting into words, what's been written all over his body language in flashing neon for too many episodes. SJ had a nice follow up with KH afterwards, and I agree with his advice. This is why we need a little introvert flavour sprinkled into the mix. JS, SM and HM have expressed multiple times, how they approach being on this show and just in these latest two episodes alone we had several cast members comment on each other's mess and conflicting emotions in such a way, that it should be hard to not see things a little from their perspective, even if it doesn't allign with your own reality and values. None of these men are "wrong" or "bad". They have one week (!) to establish a connection. SM is probably the one, who's feeling it the most. This man so clearly did not check into that airbnb expecting to be in the situation, he's in. I don't know where, when and how he would be able to do the "scheming", he's being accused of. He doesn't have the emotional or mental bandwidth to play those kind of games.

I'm enjoying myself just fine with this cast. They're just different people and energies. Sometimes the chemistry stars allign, sometimes they don't. But isn't that the point of watching too? I'll appreciate this season for the throuple that would not be, the MK/YJ fix, wholesome HM, sizzling (as f...!) JS, care bear MS and adorable unfiltered KH going from muffling his shy giggles in various fabric to sniggering over his mischievous croffle ploys and well, SJ just being the true MVP, that he is.

One of the (few) times when season 2 surpassed season 1. On all accounts.
While I had to power through most of the Beach time in season 1, this sequel flew by without too many major hurdles. I was so absorbed during the finale, that I didn't even see the (very logical and obvious) ending coming. I liked how they tied up the story and explained everything quite well, so I don't really see the need for another season. I'll of course check it out either way. Hopefully they won't completely mess it up (long time, still disappointed, Duty After School pt. 2!) and ruin an overall very entertaining and strongly acted adaptation.

Exactly! Shun and Dai's dynamic seems to be more like a drama. Shun saying that he's annoyed with Dai's presence…
Shun is definitely complex and confusing, but since they're building a narrative around these two, he's getting heavily edited, so I won't be too hard on him. I found Dai a little "agressive" in the beginning, because he doesn't hold back with his attention, but now I understand his frustration. Shun keeps pushing him away and pulling him in, because he's so clearly attracted to Dai, but probably worried about getting hurt. They could work despite their differences, but they need to communicate and build trust more than anything. Of course there's a lot of interaction, we're not seeing, because it's not included in the final cut, so that doesn't help either. I did find it pretty funny how obvious Shun is, when he pushes Dai away. It doesn't matter if everyone else is around to see it.

Poor Gensei. Ryota saying he understand Shun’s feelings about Dai and Ikuo and Gensei going through basically…
Yes, the fact that it was Gensei sitting there listening made the whole thing even worse. I wish Ryota hadn't misunderstood the point of the necklace gift.

So much tension, misunderstanding, lack of communication, push & pull between Shun & Dai - and they're not even dating yet? They're likely going to end up chosing each other, but at this point, I'd be so exhausted. They're also editing Shun this way, but if I was Gensei and Ryota I would've told him to kindly get over himself. It's not like they don't have their own problems to deal with. They're both such sweethearts too.

Well, I was going to write some of my thoughts about Dai & Shun, everyone else & Kazuto, but then the end of episode 5 happened and everything kinda was lost, while I was busy crying. And then that big log of a man did those beautiful & cute drawings? I just can't..... 🥹
They're all so loveable. I just want the best for them.

I am subscribed to Junsheongho's channel and saw His Man 1&2. I am afraid to watch season 3 because I don't know…
Depends. If you're looking for a new Junsheongho storyline, you'll be disappointed. People have criticized HM3 for having too much interference from the producers, but it's really not that bad, and it's still the cast members, that are bringing the "mess" (different people with different personalities and baggage). If you don't want to watch any crying and conflict, you'll probably want to pass. I'm really enjoying it and find the cast and their interactions just as interesting (+cute & wholesome) as in HM2. Even with the drama (which HM2 had as well), there's still a lot of cute, flirting moments to watch, and it's not as heavily focused on just one couple like HM2 and this Japanese series. I'd recommend giving it a go, but lose the HM2 expectations before going in.

Perfect show to watch simultaneously with His Man 3, because the pacing and energy is so different. I like the panel, but would prefer longer episodes to make up for the loss of time with the men. The coffee truck and giving them something constructive to do is a great idea and change of concept, but on screen it honestly kinda falls flat.

Definitely gearing up to be heavily focused on the one couple, but I hope, we'll get more matches, so the other just as interesting men are brought way more into play. Shun is such a striking "drama visual" and has the mysterious emo vibe to match his looks, so it's not surprising multiple people are drawn to him. Gensei opening up about his family made me cry, and I like how we get these vulnerable, raw moments sprinkled into the mix.

The has to be the first time, chicken breasts almost created a conflict on a reality show. Is it not possible to find a cheaper protein source for all those muscles? Hilarious. Can someone testdrive these smoothies at home and share the taste with the class?

Every episode ends so abruptly, though. I should've waited, so I could binge this.

Title His Man Season 3 Spoiler
Episode 7 was really great. Watching them all hang out together as a group and interact was so wholesome. I love seeing the friendships and supportive connections being built.

Episode 8 was mostly uncomfortable due to the chat rooms (aww SJ!) and massive MG/YJ explosion. We're still not getting the full story and we probably never will, because they see and explain, what happened differently. I'm honestly mostly on MG's side of things right now, because YJ is so emotional and pressed about their past and MG being there, that he's lashing out and not being levelheaded. They're so different in how they communicate, which only fuels the fire, but the way YJ kept forcing the isssue and became increasingly aggresive towards MG wasn't pleasant to watch. MG so clearly shut down and kept yawning and eating (again! with the casual snacking, while YJ is having a meltdown - chef's kiss!), he wasn't having a great time, and didn't get any chance to think, because YJ kept coming at him instead of picking up the cues and actually listening to, what MG was saying. Yes, the "thing he knows about YJ, but won't say" is weird and the anonymous question was shady. Either way, YJ can't demand MG to tell him. They're not in a relationship or even friends. However non-committed their relationship was never properly resolved. Ghosting is not the way to end things. Especially when the other part doesn't get the message. YJ should've told him straight up, they were done and asked MG not to contact him anymore. It broke my heart a little, when MG said directly to YJ, that he was happy to see him again, while YJ just kept coming at him. YJ wants to be in control, he wants to come out on top with a new man, but also don't want MG to have too much success on the show, but that's just not how it works. Telling MG in front of the others to leave the room, because he hated him was so out of line. This isn't Exchange, the house isn't the place for this, and MG has been way better at dealing with them being in the house together, than YJ. The way YJ said: "why do you keep talking to me - do you like me" is bullshit, because YJ is the one making it weird by lashing out in front of the others and avoiding MG. In addtion MG didn't enter YJ's chat. However YJ entered MG's chat and completely took it over, so MS didn't get a chance to chat with the man, he's interested in. And then YJ does the exact same thing in HM's chat, because he's triggered by SJ being in it asking for a date. YJ, you need to chill and accept some loss of control. This is a dating show. You're all there to go on dates and connect with different people. SM, JS, SJ and HM have that perspective in mind. I felt so bad for everyone this episode.

The good things:

-Hwi, HM and SJ are so freaking adorable. Hwi and his pillows are killing me. He's so, so cute, I want to squeeze him. I hope he gets his man in the end. I really do.
-SJ asking HM for at date, and HM being all "sure, let's do that" about it? I wanted to see them date. Well done, SJ!
-SJ is an absolute gem of a human. And the funniest in the house. What a great casting even though he's not getting the attention he deserves.
-HM seeking out a troubled JS was lovely to see. As was seeing others comfort a crying SM and MG. HM brings such a calm, caring good guy energy to the house.
-During the "ex"plosion: MG saying "where was I?", taking a bite and YJ losing his mind over it. I burst out laughing. Peak television!

JS should never have been in a single room. He retreats to brood in it too much and needs to interact more and get out of his head. He should've been in the 4-person room, and SJ should've been in the double room. I'm kinda floored by JS not getting more attention from people. He's so insanely attractive and sexy. My god, when he flirts? Wow.

I don't get, why people are finding this season disappointing. I'm having a great time watching these men navigate all the mess, that comes with trying to find someone, you connect with.

Let's just get this love triangle to the next level. Watching a newly minted throuple drive off into the sunset at the end, now that would be iconic.

Kim Jae-uck’s also very versatile. A lot of people who loved him in Her Private Life had no idea he was the…
He has a very distinct vibe (kinda like Lee Dong Wook), so it took me a while to get onboard with his acting. I've only watched him in "Temperature of Love" (his character was frustrating) and "Her Private Life" (that's when I like most began seeing the light). I had to drop "Voice", but have "The Guest", "Crazy Love" on my watch list. And of course the must see classic "Coffee Prince". Thanks for the recommendations and the reminder of "Butterfly Sleep". I completely forgot about that movie. I should move it up on my list.

Acting is fine. Episodes are short.
I spaced out when cardboard cutout female entered stage left....or was it right.
I don't care, if she saved this guys' life a thousand times. She's nothing but bad writing.
She better be gone in part 2.

All I remember is, that it was extremely loud and annoying.

I liked these two first episodes. I'm considering checking out the manga.

Relevant and neccessary spotlight on mental health and the consequences of keeping conditions hidden as well as the societal response and stigma, when they're exposed. Not an easy watch and not without flaws either. However, for the most part, I thought the themes and messages were handled with care. I have no direct experience with any of the conditions shown in these episodes, so I can't judge whether or not they were portrayed accurately. Still, my favourite part was the visual representation of each of them, because it gave a different sense and understanding, that words will never be able to.

I was a bit surprised by the shift in the direction of the main plot halfway through, and I didn't really need any romance, which for the most part was downplayed and understated anyway. I did like the second couple the most. A couple of the conflicts near the end felt unrealistic and were frustrating to sit through.

I took to Yu Chan the most and would've liked even more screen time for his story. I didn't care much for Yeo Hwan in the beginning, but he slowly grew on me and quickly became another strong character. No one moved me more than Seo Wan, though. His story was so absorbing and affecting. The deceptive shortlived comfort in the return of his visions in episode 6 was so cruel. Seo wan will probably stay with me awhile. Noh Jae Won nailed that role.
