That lady was so rude and for what πŸ’€
This comment made me cackle. She was really trying to pass it on to her grankid as well but he really said "nah, homeslice" and proceeded to meow in sign language

Title Twinkling Watermelon Spoiler
PLEASE help me clear this up bc it's bugging me, lmao
Super sad! I know Cheong Ah made up with her dad but I'm still kinda side-eyeing bc he's negligent and absent for most of it (even though their last scene made me emotional). I can't remember if the mom was suposed to have been deaf as well. I keep thinking of the flashback of her being driven away and wondering what happened to her. Like, sir, wtf happened to your wife and why are you so chill about it?

Okay, help me out here...wtf happened to Cheong Ah's mother? We see the flashback where she's being driven away…

Okay, help me out here...wtf happened to Cheong Ah's mother? We see the flashback where she's being driven away (and screaming/crying, implying it was against her will) and we later see an old family portrait that includes her but by the way nobody acknowledges her existence, you would think she died. I kept looking at the Chairman like "tf happened to your wife, my dude?" but we're never given an answer. Did I miss something? What were your conclusions on this?

It would be kind of ableist to simply remove his disability like that. Part of what changed in the final timeline was his proud acceptance of it (not hiding from his old friends, still trying to do music, etc) so it was an important element to retain!

I hate to say it, cause I was one of the ones who defended him, but I've come to realize MinHyun isn't subtle…

Title My Lovely Liar Spoiler
actually I stopped watching this drama since ep 8 then yesterday I watched rest of episodes in one go and at first…
Yeah, I feel like a lot of the people who did bad things in this show were kinda just victims of society in the end. Eom Ji & her family were poor and didn't have many chances to get ahead in life (and after her death her brother couldn't get justice due to corrupt cops), Deuk Chan felt trapped by knowing he wouldn't be accepted as he was by his enviroment. All three felt cornered at one point or another by things out of their control and all acted desperately. I can't really bring myself to be gleeful that two are in jail and one is dead, y'know?

Finally! Someone who understands how funny this is! I hope they keep it up too. We're not too far from the end, I believe in them 🫑

I personally don't think it's a story flaw or plot hole. The point is that he *was* wrong to do that. Humans aren't perfect or exist on a clear good vs evil binary. He can have done a bad thing and still not be an outright bad person. He was at a personal limit and acted out of anger/frustration rather than compassion, it could happen to anyone (even if with lower stakes, lol). I personally like the moral complexity, it's a very human thing to explore. That complexity is especially interesting in a mystery series such as this one.

I'm feeling bad for the brother, he went through a lot but still it's a huge crime ..
I feel bad too. He's done terrible things but his stituation is awful (he's not wrong in assessing that the police aren't doing their due diligence with his sister's case) and I can't say I'd take it calmly if I were in his shoes.

Also! Kang Min could've 100% arrested Do Ha for obstruction of justice (for literally letting a suspect go) and he just...didn't? Do Ha's like "it's been handled" and Kang Min is like "you can't just 'handle' aggravated assault on your own, what is wrong with you dude??!!" But he STILL lets him get away with it, lmao. This show is so unintentionally funny to me. I'm actually enjoying it tho, leads are hella cute and I actually care about the mystery.

Sol hee's outfit was so Wednesday addams πŸ₯Ί
It was su per cute, I loved it! Also, Cassandra's outfit was lowekey kinda giving Morticia Addams, which was a nice touch to tie in the idea of the tarot cafe people being sweet odball outsiders in their community.

Bruh hometown cha cha cha really? People and shit in this drama
What’s wrong? Did you not watch/enjoy Hometown Cha ChaCha? I’m mostly using it as a point of reference because a lot of people did so when recommending Summer Strike to me. Hometown is a beloved show, well known enough and and with enough of a similar premise (at least seemingly) that it works as a solid point of reference when comparing/contrasting!
