I've yet to see her in anything else since I only watched TSOM last december, but she was amazing in it! This past week I was reading the manga (manwha?) for the first time bc I got back in my feels about the show and I found it to be really good as well! I can now see the show adapted the source material really well. But ughhhh, that show made me cry. Not even out of sadness, but in a 'I love humanity' kind of way.

Also, I'm a big fan of The Sound of Magic and all I can think of is the concept they have in that story of the 'asphalt road' (and how they need to get OFF of it asap!). Anyone else who gets what I mean?

I'm gonna pop into the show's universe, collect all those kids and put them in a phychiatric ward under a 72 hour suicide watch bc YIKES. Also, send all those moms to jail for neglect and/or verbal/emotional abuse. It's over, I'm their mom now.

Is it like hometown cha cha cha??
It was until it wasn't! This show isn't bad, but Hometown Cha Cha Cha is better!

Title Summer Strike Spoiler
when you see the title ''summer strike'' and see countryside in the tags you would think that this drama would…
Agreed! Feel like a lot of people might defend it with the 'life is like that sometimes' argument but past tragedies, a dad stabbing his teenage daughter and a sweet old lady getting brutally murdered (+ the 'let's blame the nearest neurodivergent person' trope, which I hate) were a bit much for me personally. FL came here to get away from her own struggles and somehow landed in the most tragedy-prone town she possibly could've and also ended up low-key adopting two teenagers. Doesn't really leave much room for relaxing/healing, I feel!

I have to say that although I really enjoyed some elements of this show, I really disliked how dark it got near the end there. It was Hometown Cha Cha Cha vibes until it turned into a full on thriller, and I personally didn't care for that. Not quite what was advertised on the tin!
