they gave us like a minute of them towards the end after all that angst. directors were really stingy with the sweet scenes.

the contrast between being fed poison the first time where she fought mightily and the second time where she was unwilling but didn't struggle. i think the jail scene was beautifully done.

i hope they dedicate an ep or two towards the end for just our leads family life when all is said and done.

the Yu couple really are formidable foes. If you think about it, everything that's happening to the leads since they've entered the capital is all because of the Yu family pulling the strings behind the scene. The salt reform itself is taking the leads for a spin and then it's one thing after another all stemming from this couple.

the fight on the boat happened organically. i don't think that fight was part of the plan. the guy he gave the token to simply gave it back to him and introduced him as jiuweijiao to the backup that arrived.

he became the official one on the boat when he told them to recognize the face and not the token before he sliced it in half.

WTF i saw the new previews and ZL went to the capital alone! that stupid 2ML actually managed to cast doubt on their relationship that easily?

im willing to bet madam yu's weakness is also that her and her husband are not united like madam yan. does anyone know if their relationship is rocky?

i see it as it's not that ms yu sees her as an enemy it's more so that ms yu makes the FL uneasy. she even said herself that the FL could've just asked for it. so it's like firing a warning shot to let her know she's not easy to mess with and to not include her in her plans so that both should just leave each other alone. none of it matters because by ep 10 ms yu everything seems to be going according to her plans lol. i think her character is very interesting.

for sure. but this is how I feel about cdramas lately where they want to show a strong, smart and independent FL but it almost always comes at the expense of the ML. it's almost like the ML is only in the drama just to give opportunities for the FL to show how capable she is. i have high hopes that this drama won't turn out that way.

that's the beginning of the decline of hollyweird. look at how helpless they made the only man (spiderman) while these strong independent women show up one by one aura farming at his expense. it was so forced and cringe!
