The Chinese really aren't wrong when they jokingly say you can produce a mid drama with pretty faces and it'll do well with the overseas audience as long as it has good romance.

I know not everyone can but he just doesn't inspire that confidence in being able to control the situation he's in. I think a good part of enjoying shows like this is seeing how they're going to get around their current situation through their intelligence and wit but I think it's lacking from this ML.

when i watch NIF the ML gave me confidence that he would outplay everyone and that his opponents had no chance, but when I watch this one I feel like everyone can outplay the ML. He just doesn't give me that confidence that everything's going according to his plans.
