why didn't the first shifu tell ZH about everything before he offed himself since both of them were in the know from the very beginning? show also never explains why both of the shifus were so loyal to zhao bingwen either. we understand everyone's motive except for his shifus. like, what were their motives? what were they seeking to get out of their relationship with zhao bing wen?

The Chinese really aren't wrong when they jokingly say you can produce a mid drama with pretty faces and it'll do well with the overseas audience as long as it has good romance.

I know not everyone can but he just doesn't inspire that confidence in being able to control the situation he's in. I think a good part of enjoying shows like this is seeing how they're going to get around their current situation through their intelligence and wit but I think it's lacking from this ML.

when i watch NIF the ML gave me confidence that he would outplay everyone and that his opponents had no chance, but when I watch this one I feel like everyone can outplay the ML. He just doesn't give me that confidence that everything's going according to his plans.
