I'd argue that actually the BL genre is pretty normalized by now (major BL movies like 10dance and CM get promoted in mainstream women's magazines like AnAn with the stars being on the cover, the Shibuya 109 mall had a BL pop up store with BL when I visited etc.), but queerness sadly isn't :(
