You're mixing up Bokura No Shokutaku (Our Dining Table) with Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu (The End of The World with You). I agree that Ritsu from Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu is not a good person.

This drama is nothing like I expected - not a mystery thriller, but a wacky, campy comedy. Tonally it's all over the place at times but it's enjoyable and unique. My only major complaint is that the FL's fiancee annoys the heck out of me and I wish she'd get together with Kagami lol

Despite the low rating, I tried this drama because of the 2 leads, and enjoyed it overall. I found it really funny at times. The social commentary wasn't particularly deep but that's fine by me considering the drama's short length.
