quick review of the 1st ep: Riku is SO cute when receiving a message from his crush, this is the appropriate reaction, i'm into it. she works in an office, so i guess she's older? she has a beautiful smile. the older brother who speaks english out of the blue is so annoying, but most brothers are so i'll let it pass. overall, i enjoyed the first ep and wished it was lenghtier
i didn't comment on your last review but i remember that i agreed with your points and wanted to tell you. basically, as you said i can temporarily ignore a fl who thinks marriage is the only point of a woman's life (cause otherwise i'd watch like, 3 kdramas in total) in and only if the story is engaging enough to make me suspend the inner critic. but besides yoo in a's charm, which is the main event and what kept me going for the first episode, everything else is flimsy and badly written. and because they have shallow, toxic storylines they use the H metaphor as if it was the edgy comparison to prove their badly made point. what i mean is, if the story was good and actually taught us something, they wouldn't go for shock value and racism, they'd go for quality. i've seen enough portrayals of other cultures in kdramas to be appauled that this is still happening in 2021 and for a show that's broadcasted by amazon prime nontheless.
i wish people gave a chance to Forecating Love and Weather. it's a realistic show about the mess of work and relationships and although romance is only one part of the heroine's life, it's sweet and makes you root for them to be together
this drama sneaks up on you and surprises with its warmth and empowering message. the shots of cooking and eating are so cozy, you'd want to live there
