it's a more nuanced drama than people here appreciate, hence the reviews. if you stick with it, right through the reality of the show, the sometimes uncomfortable or downright depressing, you will see that it has a lot to offer. it has sneaked up to my top dramas this year

i agree with your review the most. initially i was baffled by the negative reviews here, but then i got it. as you say, this drama is not to watch your favourite kcrush being cute, as many people expected with the ultra famous leads. it's to make you think about the choices people make and how the work environment affects their relationships

agreed, i hated that they made the fl the bad guy, even though the ml was the shithead. for me, it's a little higher in ranking cause i enjoyed the noona side romance a lot

loved this drama and how it portrays the hard conditions women face in the workplace. i was much more invested in Li Rui's journey as opposed to the younger lead, she was a badass of a woman and had a hot noona romance.

i see myself in your last sentence rambling, this is exactly the review i'd write. it could be a good series if after so much back and forth she decided she'd be better off without him. but as a romance, it doesn't work at all

the writer doesn't know how to write women. such a shame, cause the script is good overall and jang nara would have delivered if she had been given complexity

something in the rain is a drama that you can watch if you want to understand more about korean culture, specifically in terms of relationships and social classes. or forecasting love and weather.
a gentleman's dignity only offers a caricature of these serious issues.

i am baffled by the high reviews of this drama. it's cliche to the bone and with the main pair competing over who's more of an idiot. if you're watching for nostalgia reasons, there are much better dramas
