I am really enjoying this drama. It's an easy watch despite the undertones being far less fluffy than the reviews…
i don't know why this caricature of a woman is always present in cdramas but i'd like to talk to the people responsible. the protagonist is already great, there's no need to elevate her by comparing her with a collection of sexist stereotypes wrapped in a woman's form
'While cinderella finds happiness in glory, this drama shows happiness in ordinary things.' well said, my friend. i hadn't thought about that but it's true and it's another reason i love love love this drama
i only meant that in PH because she's the lead for like 50 eps, she is given a lot of material to show her talent, she gets to be angry, loving, badass, vulnerable, vengeful and devasted. still, now that you say that i may watch her scenes in my mister too
I feel uniquely qualified to answer this cause I love both One Spring Night and Something in the Rain. In short, yes, I think you should finish SITR because a) a lot happens in the last episodes, no more slow moving b) it's not an idealistic ending (that's why some people don't love it) but it's a realistic one that's true to the characters and offers hope
Honestly as a revenge drama I found this lacking. As a romance drama (honestly what romance?) I found it lacking.…
i said something along the lines of your 'if the actress doesn't do intimate scenes, she shouldn't pick mature scripts' and got me in trouble with her fans. i regret nothing cause it's so true. the reason this series felt empty is that it was a soap opera without the romance holding together i think they were trying to emulate Su Ryeon's revenge from the enthose, but where Su Ryeon was intelligent, vulnerable and loving, Heesun is just nice to watch
i agree and thank you for providing the context to show how modern korean society is prejudiced towards women and why a relationship such as the one deicted is even more meaningful
you're exactly right and i like how you highlighted that the value in this drama is derived from avoiding the tiring cliches and forging a new path. it was a genuine story that deeply impacted me
i agree with all the praise this series is getting and i want to add that it has one of the best second lead couples of all time with Dan Ah and Young Hwa.
i think they were trying to emulate Su Ryeon's revenge from the enthose, but where Su Ryeon was intelligent, vulnerable and loving, Heesun is just nice to watch
