I skimmed it and even I knew Yin Gezhi didn't write the edict to execute the FL's family lol What the ML did was: after what appeared to be outright betrayal of the FL's father, with very concrete evidence that he was in cahoots with the enemy country, leading to massive losses in their war, the ML, who was not in a state to be doing investigation- and he considered himself too close to the matter - he sent word back to the capital for his father to investigate into this incident. However, he did not realize that his father was already considering the FL's father to be a thorn in his flesh so they used the chance to get rid of them once and for all. The ML was very guilt ridden over this and even after he was betrayed by his own father to be sent as a hostage in the sane enemy country, he still tried to look for evidence for the truth. The FL herself was on a path to destruction and the ML saved her just as she tried to save other women. This is a rather silly story with both the leads not trusting each other, but they have alot of sex, I think as far as toxic goes, its not even close to some of the other titles out there.

Usually its the decision of the director. Some actors may have a heavier hometown accent and they prefer to have the 'clean' standard Chinese. What I don't get is, there are so many VAs out there, why do the mls almost always get cast with this super low 'uncle' voice that never matches their visuals?? And the female leads always get this high pitched, cutesy voice *face palms*
Tian Xiwei's voice in Moonlit Reunion is her own, which suits her, but the line delivery sometimes doesn't work well..
Interesting to see that in Korean dramas, we don't have this issue? Sometimes the leads even have to learn an accent when they are acting as a character from specific regions.

This drama was solid from start to end, really a pity that it couldn't break the heat index last night but I think it will be a classic and we will remember this for a long time instead of it being forgotten too quickly like just another generic drama.

From what I understand, the drama is literally being meta. We watched a drama [ A Dream in a Dream] which is a script where an actress transmigrates into a drama she was going to film, falls in love with the drama characters and after she goes back into her real world when that drama 'ends' with a HE, and the male lead had followed her back out into 'her' world.
There seems to be no Nan Feng. Nan Heng didn't 'replace' Nan Feng. There is no 'override' or take over of his body. In Ep1 of the drama where they 'met' for the first meeting, it looks like Nan Heng had already transmigrated out to follow her into her world, but at that point of time, Song Xiaoyu don't know him. They purposely made Nan Heng fidget and examine everything small thing before him with interest, much like how he did when he was in Song Yimeng's room. And like the movie Inception, Song XiaoYu spent more than 6 months in one night, and the next day she meets Nan Heng with the memories of the life they spent together.
I really love this ending so much. Nan Heng was clearly someone who really knew nothing about the modern world where Song Xiaoyu is from. He was not pretending not to know ( like Romance on the Farm? ) and didn't have amnesia ( like Love Game in Eastern Fantasy ).
This extra ending solves the problem where Song Xiaoyu can return to her own world and the person she fell in love with can still be with her. Never mind that 'how did he do it?' because they are all just characters of fiction in a fictional world. We don't need too much logic to accept this 'extra' ending ,because its fantasy, not sci-fi.
The joke is, [Qing Ning Yi Meng] is pretty crazy 狗血 but had operated on some clear rules but [Shu Juan Yi Meng ] just tells us to take it lol
So now there is two of them in the world HAHAHAH One is Nan Feng the top traffic star and his 'twin' from a drama world, Nan Heng, who is going to ruin NF's reputation with his fanbase by openly smooching the 18 line actress from his drama

This is one of the super rare dramas which already gave the full air schedule from Day 1. From the looks of it, we will only be getting Express from Jul 12 onwards, when they start airing 1 ep at a time over the weekend. Perfect for binge hehehe
