To be honest I think for most other drama productions, booting ceremonies are typically just low key and there is not so much fan-fare.

The 'official' drama weibo and douyin posted ZERO photos of his 'booting' yesterday, so I think its pretty clear.
DW antis are already maliciously mocking him for doing the 'booting' alone without the rest of the cast. Needless to say fans are definitely peeved about this situation. Why is the one taking the drama seriously the only one being scolded again?
When Deng Wei filmed Love of the Divine Tree, he never left Heng Dian for any fashion event or award event, partially also because Yin Tao was a bit notorious for being strict with his cast... but when DW is working hard for DSL (Days of seclusion and love) , its so ridiculous he is the one who gets his image attacked for a booting that was not even a booting. kekeke speaking of LDT, it seems Yin Tao sent flowers stands for DW too aaaaw

Today it would appear only Deng Wei and the director were at a prayer ceremony because fan support cannot be postponed and they didn't want to disappoint the few thousand fans who travelled to Hengdian for the weekend.
Its kind of obvious the booting date was shifted last minute because brands that Deng Wei endorsed like Positive Hotel Coffee had already started preparing their own fan support activities from a few days ago. Dior and ELLE also sent their flower stands today to show support for Deng Wei.
In any case, we can take today as "Blessings Day" because the rainy weather held up and the sun came out for a FABULOUS LOOKING Deng Wei (even when he was masked up ) as Yin Gezhi came to greet the fans * OMG fans self * !!
