In fact in the novel, RR never regained all her memories. Both RR and MQG is the same at the core. She can pick…
I know they are running the same core OS but to me, Ranran and Mu Qingge are different people. As in they have experienced different things in their lives and have different bonds to others.
They are essentially the same because their soul, personality, moral values, thought processes, decision making is more or less consistent, but Ranran does not feel like she has to take care of Mu Ranwu, and neither does she need to. No matter what relations they had in her 'previous' life, its over esp after MRW basically murdered her with the help of outsiders. Ranran is also kind of more 'tough' in her dealings with others, when in the past she seemed to have more of a 'bleeding heart'. This was noted by Su Yishui when he seemed a little 'disappointed' when Ranran didn't beg for Bai Baishan because he expected her to be soft hearted like before. ( I think that line was only in the novel though )
So for me, Ranran should get to stay who 'she' is, there was no need for Mu Qingge's memories to need to 'download' into her to 'complete' her, because she is her own person. She does not need to be 'overwritten' and become MQG again so MQG can be considered to 'live' again. She truly got a 'second chance' with a new fresh life.
Has no one ever reached 100 million character heat index on iQIYI? And how do we check?
Yeah he is the first to reach that lol Diamonds really voted very very hard... just as they voted super hard on Tencent's character chart for Tushan Jing
Second place is Cheng yi for his role in MLC and its like barely half of Su Yishui's total...
To see this chart, we need the iQiyi CN app, which most of us cannot get. I can only access the web version of iqiyi.com and searching for 桃豆世界 gets nothing, so think its an app only function.

I am very very slow, but so far really enjoying all the tiny things I missed before...
Like if you look closely in Ep1, Su Yishui visibly swallowed hard when Mu Qingge was beaming at him so cutely hahahahah If Wen Hongshan didn't arrive with her sisters, I wonder what he would have done lol
Can someone explain the appeal of stupid chin\cheek armor in Wuxia dramas?
LOOOOOOOL no its a very very strange fixation on the part of those costume designers and guess what its spread over to the actresses' wardrobe too * gasp of horror *
Just reached 3/4 of the drama. It follows a lot of xianxia tropes (the downside of watching many of them is starting…
"one-dimensional npc students and servants" I feel what you say here, because in the novel, they had way more to do than in the drama. Yu tong had her own little mini arc, with a husband and child ( haha did you see that coming ) but now she is just reduced to background character.
Some people said this drama was too long but I felt LDT could have benefited from being a 50 ep drama. Another 10 eps would have managed to flesh out the camaraderie of the four students who have fun and also tough times studying, being punished together. All the effort of them studying is not shown at all, due to limited budget and air time I guess.
Those four were always going around having bbqs, truly enjoying the Xishan carefree student life, to the envy of the other sects. I missed seeing that shown in the drama.
hi, sorry to ask but what’s the spirit spring placed in sys body?
Actually I was disappointed that the drama made the Spirit spring seem evil. In the novel, it was just a force of nature that belonged to the Netherworld, and on its own it was an entity with great power that actually balanced that realm. In the past the human realm's first Demon lord tried to harness the powers for his own ends. In this time, its once again being stolen from where it should have been, so that certain people can harness its powers to win their wars.
When I think Spirit Spring, I think of Kaonashi, No Face from Spirited Away. It was tempted by emotions and greed of the human world, and it only wanted to 'play'. In the novel it begged not to be sent back home because its purpose there was too boring lol
FL has never show love to SML, she treated him like a good friend. SML’s love is one sided. When she knew about…
Even the SML knows, but he just enjoyed deluding himself hahahah But honestly there were some moments I felt MQG could have been more crushing towards him.
could someone tell me in which order the episodes were before they changed it ? i’m curious
The old order starts from Ranran quarrelling with the storyteller, Ep6-8, then at the point Zheng yi first visited Su Yishui as they tried to solve Ranran's health complications... while they sat and talked while Ranran was still unconscious, they flashed back to the past Ep 1-6
Quite a boring one this one. I till the end waited for the heroine to regain her memories and demeanor. Alas!…
For me I never expected the FL to get back her memories at all. In fact I was dismayed that the drama gave her back alot more memories than she got in the novel. I was perfectly fine with Ranran being herself. She is not Mu Qingge. She is a reincarnated version of her, but her life, her burdens, her goals, those were her own. She did not need to 'continue' her past life, and so there was no need to take on those memories.
However seeing how many viewers tend to keep asking 'when is she getting back her memories' I guess this is very important to many people somehow.
I don't often watch xianxia and I am glad that Ranran managed to still be herself and not just 'taken over' by some persona of her previous life. The new version of her deserves to live and be happy. Just as how Su Yishui intended her to be.
Finished the last ep at last. To be honest, if this drama was any longer I probably would have dropped it. After the first 4 eps I was like... hmmm do I go on? Then I finished another 2 the next weekend, and another 2 the next weekend. I think Ep7 and 8 were the best ones in this series. I didn't know what was going on for the first 4 eps of Light shop but by the end of the 4th ep serious reveals were finally shown.
So I don't know what I feel about Ep10. It all felt rather underwhelming. Except when the clear skies suddenly started hurling lightning bolts as Dong Jin finally made his love confession. Sorry but since I just finished watching Love of the Divine Tree with the xianxia lightning tribulation trials, I actually laughed a little at how dramatic this was. The Heavens care!! They will smite those who dare approach their favored ones! ( yes I say favored and I will explain at the end hahaha )
Ultimately this was a story about one man who never gave up trying to be with his high school crush and he managed to help his bestie as well. In doing so, he changed the lives of four people ( hopefully for the better ) What are the odds that one man will run into two 'witches' in his life? Lee Dongjin's statistics will surely have something to say about that heh
I am glad that Dong Jin was not a reckless fool in love, its not that he was a coward but he knows that him dying won't help Mijung at all, he will just become yet another statistic to weigh on her soul if she found out about it later on. He gave her enough time to process what he did to/'for' her, including the very eyebrow raising stalking of her daily life ( honestly 'watching over' / pining over was still quite creepy ), with his pal Joong Hyuk as his mouthpiece. He gave her enough time to process it all, and a choice to decide what to feel about him, instead of forcing his feelings on her and expect an instant grateful response just because he did such a crazy thing to risk his life just to dare to have feelings for her. However that being said, obviously its not that difficult to like Lee Dong jin. He is good looking, gentle, kind, intelligent. After knowing all these, will Mijung really condemn him to death by not reciprocating his feelings? But then again love cannot be forced, so I suppose destiny is also being nice to Dong jin. Afterall, they did have an 'unfinished fate' in High school that might have actually became something if only he confessed.
Speaking of which, if Dong jin had acted on his feelings back then and Mijung actually started dating him without him getting injured or dying, the rumors of her being a witch who harms other men might not have been able to take root. She would not have had to leave school, would have gone onto college and led a normal life? Even if she broke a few hearts along the way, people wouldn't have thought of her as a witch if she did have a man who survived being near her? Unless the new rumor will be her bf will curse all men who dare approach Mijung LOL
What felt very forced was the sudden love story of our second leads, who are both very lovely people and while I did hope they would find happiness, it happened way too fast and there was not enough time at all. It seemed like Eun sil barged her way into Jung hyuk's life and its some kind of love at first sight on his part? For her, she started off not liking him ( since she survived their initial close proximity encounters without a scratch ), until she found out that he was like Mijung? Why did she suddenly fall under his spell? Repeated exposure? Bleeding heart?
PS Who else felt that the stalker victim who woke up from her coma actually lied to make him feel better? Nobody can escape the charms of the witch after all lol
So why did I say Mijung and Joonghyuk at the favored ones of Heaven? hehe Think about it, while the rest of us go through life getting hurt in different kinds of failed relationships, when approached by the fickle, the 'false' ; who actually gets lightning to strike on demand on those deemed unworthy? ( lame laughter) Also if Mijung was actually willing to weaponize her 'talent', she can be such a effective assassin. Just approach her targets, make them swoon for her, leave them and they will die of 'natural' accidents lol But that will be another kind of drama HAHAHAH
My conclusion, I don't hate that I watched this drama, but I don't think I will dare to recommend to others lol
I am waiting anxiously for Ep10... I hope it will explain why Li Dongjin left without taking his phone with him... I wonder what is his frame of mind when he left his house? Did he think he was going to die? Was he tired of living? But he didn't confess to Minjung that night, so what was he planning?
LOVING IT!

Just get on the train, no need to take too long to decide hahahah
Like if you look closely in Ep1, Su Yishui visibly swallowed hard when Mu Qingge was beaming at him so cutely hahahahah
If Wen Hongshan didn't arrive with her sisters, I wonder what he would have done lol
He was a reluctant disciple but they were never really enemies?
I feel what you say here, because in the novel, they had way more to do than in the drama.
