The two people who had hearts big enough to look out for someone viewed as an outcast and be there for them, they deserve a happy ending! I am sad that the 'love arc' for the second leads happen so late... but what can I expect lol the ml and fl only 'met' properly in Ep8 HAHAHAH

I randomly started watching without knowing what it was about except its by the same webtoon author of MOVING and Light Shop...

I found myself very puzzled why nothing much happens every week and the ml is a genius statistician trying to save the day of all things lol

The weirdest thing was instead of dropping it, I find myself coming back to this drama every weekend just to see what will happen next... I must be under its spell? hahahah

ps It started to get good only in Ep7 onwards lol

but the people they love will not die, that is the only way to break this curse.

i was hoping the fl's bestie and the ml's bestie can get together but I am surprised at the twist in ep9
That Dongjin was also trying to help his buddy too... even though it was only hinted in the earlier ep very briefly how people around him get hurt...thats why he isolated himself from everyone else...

If it works out, the two besties of the male and female 'witch' will be their loves and they can all go double dating together and be happy *PRAYS*

I noticed this too! But if you notice lol later on even after SYS regained his memory, specifically i think he was recuperating after his er... big injury.... I think he also crossed his arms here and there lol

I love how the older SYS now embraced his inner younger self who likes to cross his arms and pout all he wants hahahahaha

Yintao's zoom out style is so different from the ( sometimes stifling ) way some directors zoooooom into their actors faces until I feel like... uh... pls...too close... hahahahah

I feel you but I won't consider Su yu as a third party. He is just deluded in this triangle all on his own. He is so manipulative and annoying I hate how much extra screentime he got compared to the novel where he was just SYS's dying uncle in his mid 30s lol

This drama is on iqiyi's own global platforms and also licensed by Tencent's WeTV.

Some Cdramas are on Netflix because their China companies don't readily have their own global platforms to air the content on, so they will look for platforms to license them. If you noticed some other WeTV dramas usually will only appear on Netflix after the actual airing period so there will be less competition for viewers.

Perhaps if more of us request for it, Netflix will feel its worth licensing.

It was quite a throwaway line between Dun tian and the Medicine Immortal chatting at the heavens pavilion lol

I think there is a time limit on reincarnating someone, thats why Dun tian missed the window to save his family, even if he wanted to try.
Also I think the entire process is not like its a sure thing.
SYS definitely could not have waited for that long before he started the entire reincarnation procedure. As the Chinese idiom goes, 夜长梦多 who will know what will happen if he died trying to seal the spring and so nobody will revive MQG? lol or the soul integrity going to go 'bad' the longer he delays the starting of it all?
If I recall, it took some time for the tree to grow up by absorbing the elemental energies on the mountain, and he was only able to relax when the fruit finally appeared and he sensed her soul inside.

Actually this was the biggest difference between novel and drama.
In the novel there was a twist at the end, which revealed that actually SYS did ascend. When he took the demon spring into himself, he did not get corrupted by it, out of his willpower and his love for MQG, so he was powered up enough to ascend as a demonic immortal, something Heaven was not ready for.
That was why he was able to grow the tree and help MQG reincarnate which was not something that was easily done, because he gave up immortality itself. It was not just a mere cultivator's golden core. That was why SYS was so OP, which some drama viewers wondered at the reason. lol

I think because the drama wanted to simplify matters and did not want to deal with the immortal stuff, so they just changed it.

Haters were rating this drama 1 even before the series started airing TT
drama fans really did their very best to claw back from the 8.0 it fell to and up to this level... but this drama really deserves at least a 9!!

yes I have found that sometimes the bgm overwhelmed the dialogue track too sigh... Its also possible because some dialogue seemed to have been captured live so the quality of all the tracks was not the same level...
