If you watch trailer2 then trailer1 in youtube, and then the two charactor introductions in Viki, you'll see why I agree with you. I'll explain this later. I'll say something else before that.
Just to clarify, what I meant by KG asking HTJ the questions, is not that they are KG's confessions. It's his 'demand' on how he wants HTJ to love him. So basically KG controls the relationship.
KG will ask which question depending on what 'signal' HTJ gives him. I see these 'signals' as subtle 'confessions'. Kind of like in the old old days when a lady would drop her handkerchief to signal a man to approach her. lol
The first subtle one was end of ep 3 when HTJ said KG's weakness when he touches his ears, is because he loves him, and he goes on saying it's the same in physical contacts, I believe HTJ meant he feels the same way when they are sparring. I read that conversation as HTK's 'confession'. It's not spell out in actual words 'bravely'. KG's reaction was telling him to stop it. My guess on that, though i'm not quite convinced myself, is KG telling HTJ not to point it out, even though they both know they love each other.
In ep 4 in the restaurant, HTJ called that ugly friend. I think KG asked the second question then to 'get back' at HTJ. But he did promise HTJ that he'll return though.
Now, in trailer2 in youtube. HTJ actually confessed to KG in korean words ''cho-ah' meaning 'I like/love you'. It's the bed scene. KG heard it and opened his eyes.
Then in trailer1 also in youtube, bed scene again. KG hugs HTJ. KG was wearing the same shirt as the bed scene in trailer2. so my imagination says HTK confessed, KG heard, turns around and hugs him. But I don't think KG reciprocated with words then though.
Then in viki's charactor introduction of KG, KG gets punched in the stomach. By who I don't know, maybe the ugly friend, maybe the father, maybe theives, or someone else. In the charactor introduction of HTJ, the scene when they were wearing the sparring outfits, HTJ was crying saying he had to clean up KG's mess and told KG to give up the money or he'll expose 'them'.
My imagination says those two scenes are related, and that they got seperated by the father afterwards. Then when they meet again when they are older, thats when KG reciprocates by words and ask HTJ the first question. Then they live happily ever after. lol.
So in the end KG is the one in charge of the relationship, not HTJ. Because he's the one controlling the timing of it.

Yes, your feelings are totally correct. I believe the master-servant dynamic is the result of the inequality of social statuses in the Korean society, as well as the people "knowing their place" in such a structure, so they don't challenge it.

HTJ is a chaebol in Korea, or the son of a chaebol. Chaebol are powerful families in Korea. These familes own multiple big companies and often their circle includes powerful people in politics, the legal systems, etc. Hence often their positions and power exceeds legal authorities.
Even thought Chaebol's surrounding people are in positions of powers, they are still the boss of them. Also, even though those powerful 'subordinate' may be smarter and more competant than the chaebols, they know their place and do not challenge the hierarchy. The rest of the people without power, say the salarymen, are just 'slaves', with low assets, low education, less access to health care, etc.
So basically, chaebols are the top of the food chain and they can do no wrong.
HTJ grew up in such a structure, hence some of the comments here are totally justified to say that HTJ has a cruel and impossible attitude.
However, if you compare how HTJ is treating KG with the real life chaebol in Korea, HTJ is actually very nice to KG. For example, when that schoolmate called KG a slave, HTJ punched him to protect and to revenge for KG. He also allow KG a 'breathing room', which is the gym. In the gym, KG is allowed to spar HTJ as an equal, a real component. He can forget his role as a slaved there. HTJ is actually nice to KG, I think.
KG is like a paid sibling or paid companion. Hence even though KG is physically stronger, and possibly also better in other areas, he knows his place as a servant and that HTJ is his master. He also accepts and endure the beatings of the father whenever HTJ makes a mistake. That's part of what he's paid for.
Hence your feeling that the master-slave relationship seems to be the opposite of what is really happening is correct.
In my view, HTJ and KG knows they love each other more than the master-servant structure. So to me, HTJ's teasing of KG is actually his way of showing his love for KG, and KG's stirred reactions are reassurence and confirmation of KG's love for him. To me, when KG gave HM a fake number, it's because he loves and knows THJ enough that HTJ will feel insecure if he does make friends with HM.
Also, my view of the sparings in the gym is that it's a representation of sex between them. And it's obvious they both know that KG dominates in that equal environment. I think that's why HTJ uses tricks, like touching KG's ears and chest, which probably turns KG on, so that he can have an upper to defend himself from KG's strength and power. Just my wild guess here.
To me, when HTJ said his shadow is having a consience and that he has to give KG an answer (beginning of ep 4), he meant he knows KG will ask him in the open if 1) if HTJ will be his partner and lover instead of master onwards, or 2) if HTJ will let him go if he wants to leave. I believe they both know HTJ's answers to both questions will be 'yes'. Which meanse HTJ will love KG regardless of what type of love KG requests of him. The types I see are: HTJ will complete KG's wish as his lover and partner; or HTJ will love KG by letting him go. In this second case HTJ will have to seriously deal with his insecurities of not having KG around anymore.

When HTJ reacted right away and went up to him, I see it has HTJ telling KG he asked him the 'wrong' question. When KG told HTJ he'll come back after dropping HM home. I see this as the variation. It is his reassurance to HTJ that he will never disappear entirely even if there's a temperary seperation. When HTJ entered the car without letting KG in and said to KG just keep the master-servant relation, I see it as HTJ answering "yes, I'll let you go as you as you asked" When HTJ was thinking to himself in the car that his shadow should be with him 24/7, I see that as HTJ rejecting KG's variation.
I could be way off thinking along this line though. LOL.
My hope is by ep 8, KG will also ask the first question and HTJ will also say yes. My hope is that the director will successfully show HTJ giving KG his complete and unconditional love of all types which KG asks of him. Just my wishful thinking.

I think KG is being strong in his love for TJ, more so than feeling he had enough of TJ's persona or attitude. My take on KG's 'wants to run away' is that: KG loves TJ and he knows it himself. He loves him enough that even though the image of TJ kissing the girl is not what he wants to see (he said "even though i want to close my eyes"), he is still watching without pausing because TJ is still "wonderfull" in his eyes in such an image. He said he wants to "run away", to me he meant he wants to run away from TJ taking this love of his for TJ with him. These are just my interpretations, I could be totally wrong.
