As a corporate slave, I can't quite feel Sejeong's character here. I'm leaning more on the male character (Joon young) rather than the female lead (Maeum). I can't deal with the plot "passion for work".
Why? Is that an issue? The character seemed very much like a minor.
I mean, her character here got her undergarments flashed and sensual scenes so I didn't think she herself was really a minor, I thought it was only her character. If my recollection of the movie scenes were correct
TBH I had high expectation because of the plot and the hype saying the drama is very good but underrated in tiktok. So I immediately watched since I like most of the girl group member actors - Hani, Solbin, Exy and the girl from 18 again. I'm currently on episode three and I think I won't watch any further because the drama gives me so much disappointment, even Penthouse can't stress me out. First of all, HYUNJI is very very very very annoying. She keeps on finding someone to blame and I can't stand that. When Jenna asked them to vote whether to disband or not but they all voted no, is just annoying because their actions doesn't say that way.
Honestly, the first episode did not give me any expectations. I think it got better every new episodes. When they were happy, I was also happy. When they were in conflict, I felt like I was in the middle and want them to talk what they really felt to make up. And when they broke up, I felt so broken I really felt I was the one breaking up with Woong or Yumi. I almost cried when they wanted to be with each other but also cannot.
Unlike what others say, I think this is refreshing on my part for a k-drama. We are usually given rich and poor pairings but "chaebol" wealthy and rich is kind of uncommon at least for me. They really portrayed well the differences between them. I understood how the "genius" Dali became dumb when fed with real life problems because I also know someone like that. I think it's the same as Bogum's character in Reply series and the baseball genius in Prison Playbook. I also like how Kim Min Jae is like that because if he isn't business-minded he definitely won't go from rags to riches. And the part where Kwon Yul's character wasn't indicted was too realistic.
If FL didn't meet her ML, I doubt her fashion line would have boomed. It's not that ugly but it isn't pretty either. The drama overall looked low-budget production.
Can it top "Mouse" plot twist though
