Humility, vulnerability after 200 years. ML (Apex hunter) is adjusting to the new reality, he needs the FL(human). He's…
And he's also utterly terrified of those feelings. I think he was not aware that someone could shake his world that much - it's like he's woken up from a deep sleep. So far he's treated Do Hee as some kind of temporary disturbance but now he started to realize how she impacted him and changed everything. He doesn't want to cstch feelings (too late, mate) but at the same time he's not going to let Do Hee go.
I have to say that I loved the first season and it was a certain 10/10 for me but unfortunately, the second season…
What is this ending though?! That should've happened earlier in this season (and I knew that he would be back)! LDH appearance earlier would've made this season so much better but I assume they're saving it for the next one?
Will the main plot for the third season will be for Hyeon Su to struggle to come back and overcome his monster (for now Heon Su lost it) and Eun Hyeok to understand his new self? Eun Yu, a poor soul, will be in the middle of all that, struggling - I feel for her, but at the same time her survival skills are top-notch.
I have to say that I loved the first season and it was a certain 10/10 for me but unfortunately, the second season is quite uneven and falls short. The first three episodes were gripping and amazingly paced and then something happened - it seemed like the writer changed or they changed the direction of the story because it became a bit of a mess. Ep. 4-5 were the most boring for me then it got a tad better.
I guess there were so many new characters with various goals (it worked in the previous season but not here) and as a result the story became incoherent. It seemed like it lost its direction. I was not sure what the creators wanted to show us and I didn't care about any of the new characters apart from Chan Young.
For me Go Min Si carried out the whole season. I wish we could have seen Lee Si Young more though as she's an excellent actress. Song Kang delivered too.
Ep. 3 was the best of all so far - it was entertaining, there was a lot of action and it kept me guessing how the story would evolve. I'm intrigued and want more.
When I look at our trio I see Mok Ha being a bit naive and good-hearted (but brave), Bo Gyeol being emotional and highly protective of her (he's obviously smart but now seems to act more rashly than before), and then there is Woo Hak who actually has to take care of both of them so they don't get in trouble and tends to act behind the scenes.
I can't believe that there are only 3 episodes left - there are so many things that need to be resolved and it seems that the ending will be rushed.
I like that she's so fearless and not scared of being in new Joseon - more like going with the flow and trying to figure things out, but also thinking about how to survive.
Lee Se Young is just unrivaled in the Joseon era. She really suits sageuk dramas. I'm hyped for the rest of the episodes!
On a side note - Saturday is going to be tough to keep up with all these awesome dramas airing at the same time (My Demon, Castaway Diva and Perfect Marriage Revenge). It's good that it's cold outside ;)
Whoa, what a straightforward confession! Screamed so loudly when I heard it lol (although it was so expected given the past). I like that Ki Ho seems to be going all the way now - I hope he never backs down! He had stars in his eyes while looking at Mok Ha every single time <3
I remember one comment here saying that we were deprived of the scene of Ki Ho and Mok Ha reuniting when they…
Forgot to add: I actually feel bad for Mo Rae - it seems that she's very lonely and has nobody comforting or supporting her genuinely. She's treated as an asset by her entertainment agency.
It was refreshing to see Ran Joo giving her an honest advice (altough she was also not treating her fairly in the past).
I remember one comment here saying that we were deprived of the scene of Ki Ho and Mok Ha reuniting when they found her and today they gave us exactly that and even added more. I really like the fact that they all are aware now what's going on and could work together to protect themselves.
Tbh I don't think there is any room here for any love triangle so I hope that there will be no confusion or hurt feelings involved. Mok Ha and Ki Ho had a very strong head start that simply cannot be ignored.
PS. The scene with the parents and Ki Ho smiling was so wholesome! PS2: Oh, who is that old lady from the preview? Could she be somehow related to Ran Joo?
It was hurtful to watch at the beginning of the last episode once I realized that Yi Chan is really deaf. I was basically crying for the first 30 minutes (my hormones are out of control I guess). All the scenes showed us some raw emotions of loving your family unconditionally. This drama will remain one of my favorites solely for this reason regardless of any reservations towards the plot.
At the same time, the ending convinced me - Yi Chan seems happier in this timeline, especially as he has his high school friends around him (which means that he had their support in the past). Eun Gyeol also, seeing his dad leading a fulfilling life, will not have to carry the burden of not changing the past completely. I guess the writers wanted to emphasize that even though he was not able to prevent Yi Chan from getting hurt, his presence in Yi Chan and Chung Ha's life was already so significant that it led to positive consequences and his efforts didn't go to waste (basically how Eun Yu convinced Eun Gyeol to come back to 2023).
I think we have to remember that this story was never about Yi Chan's perception of his life and was not told from his perspective - it was always about Eun Gyeol being unhappy, leading a difficult life as a child of deaf parents, and carrying a huge burden for such a young age. While taking that into consideration and looking at the outcome, I think we all may easily say that the ultimate goal of Eun Gyeol's time travel was achieved. He still has his family, he understands his parents more, does not feel guilty and at the same time he can realize his passion and also have a love life (he's not miserable anymore).
Gonna miss this cast - they were all so wholesome.
As others here, I'd also love to see more from the time when Yi Chan and Chung Ha were maturing and overcoming their hardships together but - as mentioned above - it was never the main focus of the story.
Whatever ending this show will have, there's going to be people upset with it. and I completely understand both…
I'm so curious about what the writers decided to do and what is Eun Ho's role in this whole scheme of things. I also agree that as a lot of things changed, the outcome is not guaranteed - Yi Chan was hit by a car but not by the one he was meant to. On the other hand, it still happened - just at a different time and place.
I burst out crying while watching the ending. I unconsciously got so invested in this story that it breaks my heart to know how Eun Gyeol will blame himself for the rest of his life if Yi Chan loses his ability to hear. This will be the normal outcome as Yi Chan will just live the life he was meant to from the beginning but Eun Gyeol really deserves that happy ending. Some may say that he already got a priceless chance to meet his father during his glory days and understand his motivations better but at the same time, it's all so utterly sad.
Par Eun Bin's voice is incredible - so clear and full of emotion. It made me cry out of the blue.
I love the two of them together. They've already fallen for each other.

Loved the cake scene.
Chae Jong Hyeop suits this character so much!
