Title The King's Affection Spoiler
Finally! I'm glad that the plot is moving forward. Episode 11 was sooo good (way much better than the previous two episodes - they felt a bit draggy).

I really liked how CP protected the dignity of the girl who was killed and how Lee Hyun told CP that he knew everything all along. It was amazing how CP was brave and true to her principles even though it cost her a lot. As she said there's no point in living if she needs to hide all the time.

Based on the preview episode 12 seems quite action-heavy and it's definitely going to be interesting.

it infuriates me so!!! much!! how many characters have made such dumb and stupid decisions so far. but the drama…
I find it realistic - most of the time people tend to react without thinking when faced with a crisis. You will never know how you will react in certain situations unless you have to deal with it. Fl is used to stressful situations, but of a completely different kind. She's also too curious and overly confident which ultimately may be her downfall, but at the same time she could be the only one that could save them all.

I actually like FL's character,, her impulsiveness is part of her characteristic and I love it. it made her unique.…
She's this type of a person who gets things done. No matter what she will always react and try to act on her principles. Characters like this are needed too. She cannot be ideal as people have flaws - thanks to that there's always room for some character development.

I'm really curious how the plot progresses and how they will deal with this whole situation of being stuck in this apartament complex. I really like this type of dramas and movies so I think I'm going to definitely enjoy this one.

This is also one of the very few dramas that is actually making a direct reference to covid so I find it refreshing. Although it also feels a bit ominous when I think about it considering the genre?

I'm freaking pissed at the comments talking about PHS's weight. I'm glad he won't be reading any of it but I just…
I mean - who thinks that he's fat? Seriously? He looks completely normal and we all know that he's gorgeous. I'm so fed up with people overlooking everything else just to comment on someone's looks. I know South Korea has really high standards when it comes to appearance (which I find shallow), but it needs to stop. It's NOT important. Obviously beauty should be appreciated as well, but without putting people down.

This is one of my favourite dramas this year! It was so funny! Some parts were a bit illogical and unreasonable, but I love it anyway. The director and the actors did a great job - every character was memorable. I'll especially miss Cho Yeon Ju - she was a brillant female lead.

And the dancing scene at the end of the last episode was hilarious!

I see what you mean. The pacing can be a problem and it's becoming a pattern for the interesting stuff/reveal…
Yeah, I know. I was wondering whether it's just me. Thanks!

just drop if u didnt like the editing or smtg like that. ffs
@K1to - no need to be that agressive with your comments. You probably didn't see my comments from last week, but I've always had a trust in this writer so I'm trying to give this another chance. Maybe my expectations were too high.

And I'm entitled to voice my opinion.

drop if you don't like it, I'm glad you're willing to give it another chance by watching ep 4. maybe it'll change…
I hope so too (haven't seen episode 4 yet). I really liked all works of this writer that I've seen so far - maybe yesterday wasn't a good day to watch this drama. And I'm a bit sucker for good production and visual effects so maybe that's also that.

I find it really difficult to get immersed in the story. I don't care about any of the characters at this point. I guess episode 4 will decide whether should I continue watching this. It's a pity because I think the potential is there, but they cannot put all interesting things at the end of every episode. It's becoming unbearable.

I'm really enjoying this one! I hope that our ML will soon find out that our FL is a woman because prolonging his oblivious behaviour will be too much of a cliche. But I think our bodyguard will find out sooner (if he's not aware already) - I cannot quite decide whether he is on the FL side or against her? I think he may have a connection with the teacher that was killed in the past? There are many theories atm to explore and that's why I like this drama. And the chemistry between our main leads doesn't disappoint.

Also, it's a pity, but our SL unfortunately will have his heart broken soon - I hope it won't turn out too nasty and he'll remain a decent human being as he is now. I think this drama could be a breakthrough role for Nam Yoon Su so I also hope they won't get him killed too early.

Tbh it was a bit underwhelming - after the two first episodes there is no "wow" effect. I'm curious about the story, but it is a bit messy atm. I like the writer and I have trust in her for now so we'll see.

I also always take notice of the production aspects (ost, cinematography, film editing, visual effects) and I was quite disappointed considering the budget. Maybe because I've just seen Dune and it's more evident haha.

This show is amazing. It makes you cry a litre of tears at one moment and then laugh like crazy at another. It made me feel a wide range of emotions and I'll definitely feel empty on Sundays.

I love everything abouth this drama. Some may think it lost momentum at a certain point, but I think it panned out exactly as it was supposed to. It's not going to be everyone's favourite show as it's not action packed, but the characters and their stories were convincing and relatable. We're not going to agree with everything what happened or how the characters reacted, but that exactly how life works. We all look at it from our perspective and sometime dismiss others' point of view. I think this show was perfect at showing that.

PS: that Squid Game reference lol.

I have to add one thing as I saw so many comments of people who I think don't quite understand what happened (or…
I think some people find it too difficult to understand that it's important what Du Shik felt and the fact that he was blamed (unfairly) by other people is somehow secondary. WE KNOW THAT HE WASN'T THE ONE TO BLAME, BUT IT'S IMPORTANT WHAT HE EXPERIENCED. He felt responsible for what happened as it was directly related to him and there was no one to assure him that it wasn't his fault. That's why it was traumatic to him and his reaction to those events was understandable. People who don't get this or dismiss it as something simple and easily resolved probably didn't have to go through much emotional turmoil in their lives (so it's hard to find it relatable) or simply lack symapthy (I don't want to generalize though).

Seonho deserves to win for best actor. I just can’t express how much he makes me feel, his acting skills are…
I think he is one of the most versatile and detailed Korean actors. While watching him you completely forget that he actually is acting and believe his on-screen persona 100%. He's meant for acting.

The last episode was emotionally draining, but beautiful. And it made me anxious until the very end.
Eh, I should've removed my make-up first.

Anyone who feels even a bit hesitant about this show - please don't. It's utterly worth it.

This will be a sudden comparison, but this drama makes me feel everything just like Adele's songs lol.

Cho Yeon Joo is one of my favourite female characters in drama ever (especially taking into consideration the legal ones)! The drama is also so enjoyable to watch and I'm glad that I gave it a chance.

Btw the chemistry is no joke!
