And am I the only one that thinks that the girls missing are somehow connected to the secret society of the court…
I was thinking about how they are so good at fighting and organized not only within the palace (that's obvious) but outside as well and I still remember this one man that was murdered in the earlier episode by a court maid (just before FL reunited with her brother - I also kind of wonder how he fits into the story).
How he looks at her all the time! And those purple outfits are everything btw.
I think this drama has enchanted me - I never get distracted while watching. I know I'm saying this every week, but I'm so in love and this drama deserves all the praises and more.
I've enjoyed all the fighting scenes - they were really exciting and the chief royal guard surprised me positively (he's not only for a comedic relief lol). The last scene was a bit unnatural (sleeping part), but the rest of the episode compensated for it. I think this was the best episode so far.
The political stuff is getting messy and the whole game will become more and more dangerous as time goes by. I believe this drama will stay quite true to history so we better brace ourselves.
In episode 8 I really liked the scene with the king - it was emotional and so well acted. The whole cast is doing wonders.
Omg the last scene! The Crown Prince's gaze is soo intense - I don't know how FL is able to deal with it. I like that she's still her own person. For the Crown Prince - more than jealousy (he's obviously jealous though) I think he's scared that FL somehow becomes disloyal or betrays him hence his reaction. This would shatter him completely as he treats her more than just a love interest.
This episode was intense. So fast-paced and so many stuff happening. When will their happiness start?! ðŸ˜
I actually don't think there would be happy ending considering the latest developments 😥 They're hinting at it from the beginning and this show is brutal. I really want to be wrong though!
Episode 9 was great, but it was really stressing me out. And I knew Yi Hyun will become infected at some point, because he was always in the centre of everything that was happening. I think he will be good at enduring it though. He's going to sacrifice himself at the end and there will be no happy ending hence the title. I'm also worried about Sae Bom as she had to fight the urge when she saw the blood (the scene with reverent).
Can something bad happen to Oh Joo Hyung already? This guy has no remorse and is despicable.
I'm curious how they will wrap it up as only 3 episodes remain. The only option I see for now to stop this madness is that the people gain natural immunity by producing antibodies (as for now there is no progress with effective medication).
Reading all the comments and I agree with you all! I don't remember a historical drama recently that would evoke so many positive reactions from all viewers. I like historical dramas in general and always give them a chance, but this one is truly special.
You know how I'd like for it to end? The Crown Prince establishes herself as the King to protect everyone that she cares about (marries but without heir as it's we all know it's not possible - saw the smile in the preview which was funny btw). Then after some time of reign and stabilization (=getting rid of the grandfather) "dies" at the same time enabling her younger brother to succeed the throne (I'd be happy if that could be Lee Hyun as well, but for now he's too connected to the Crown Prince and I'm afraid he could get hurt sooner or later). Then she spends the rest of her life in some faraway seaside village with Ji Woon. The End.
The other option: the Crown Prince still manages to live her own life, but alone as Ji Woon sacrifices himself while protecting her and Lee Hyun becomes the king (or both die while protecting her, but that is the most pessimistic version of all).
Still don't know where to put Ga On in the story - I think he could have a serious role here.
Perfect example how cliche can work and be done well. First, you need actors who have good chemistry with each…
You summed up everything pretty well! Episode 5 was satisfying as hell to watch when it comes to Jae Hyuk reactions and expressions. I'm ready to see more of that in the upcoming episodes lol.
This is my favorite drama at the moment. Followed by The Red Sleeve then a 3 way tie between Chimera, The King’s…
I'm torn between Happiness and The Red Sleeve at this moment with The Red Sleeve winning (probably because I need something more optimistic right now 😄), but both dramas are great. The fall drama season is exceptional this year.
This is my favourite drama airing right now! I don't mind political stuff and the dialogues are written really well. I hope it gets better and better. For now I keep having high expectations so I hope we won't be disappointed.
I also think that this drama depicts the political affairs/intrigue in an interesting manner and actually reminds the viewers what the historical dramas are really about.
Oh, and I'm really impressed by Junho acting? He's amazing in this drama - didn't expect that at all. He's got a really strong presence.
I don't really care about romance -although I really don't think Jihan is an endgame (the chemistry between the CEO and Jenna is interesting and they have been hinting it from the beginning). It'd be refreshing for Jenna to not get entangled with anyone, but as we know it'll not happen.
I'm more curious how they are going to fight for themselves and survive.
ji woon : You look good in the disguise Me : What the fcuk🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣JI WOON you seen her in the ep2🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣This…
This is definitely not what I was expecting 😂 When I was watching this scene I was like: are you serious? She doesn't just look like woman - she is one! Are you blind?! 😄😄

It's also so much fun enjoying it together here!
I'm also loving main characters so much - both are admirable.

And people are reckless and stupid as always. I'm sooo curious about the guy in the hazmat suit - wonder how they will use his character.
