Damn you and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Many tourists come to visit Iraq and you know there are Korean tourists,…
I think I just shared a general perception that people have? I didn't comment on whether it's wrong or not. I simply stated that I would not travel there as a solo female traveller.
And I don't think this drama impacts that general perception in any significant manner - I don't think that somebody saw that few scenes (as I assume) and thought "OMG - Iraq is so dangerous". I don't know if you're from Iraq or not - if the situation is good for residents, then happy for you as we should all live in peace (please however have in mind that it's a completely different story for tourists - especially having a completely different background when it comes to culture and religion).
This drama is goood and I can't wait for the rest of the episodes. And it wasn't even on my watchlist.
I don't understand the rating though. I guess people are not really judging the show (again)?
I saw some comments about Iraq, but I completely missed that in the drama (so I suppose it was not a significant part of the show)? Is there a problem with considering Iraq as unsafe? I mean, it is definitely not South Korea, which is deemed to be extremely safe for tourists. I, as a woman, would not travel solo to Iraq due to cultural differences, but could easily go to South Korea or Japan. I don't think only Koreans consider Iraq as unsafe - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in my country does not recommend travelling to Iraq as well (I assume that is how the country is being perceived internationally).
I think, this is where the book “Mangurok” comes into play. They didn’t really have a romance but he spent…
I also don't see it on her side yet - I mean there were some awkward moments in episode 7 when she maybe realised a bit that she must've developed some feelings but I think she still wants to go to her life in the future regardless (at this point of the drama at least). I hope we will get more development next week (I mean we have to, as there's no much time left).
The last episode felt like watching a Joseon-era cooking competition reality show—I’ve never been so engrossed in watching people cook and eat.
I love how Jiyeong explains the background of every dish she prepares—it’s easy to follow and makes me curious to try different recipes (I even looked up the ribs in red wine one).
Also, I can only imagine how much fun it must have been for the actors to film all those food reaction scenes. And you cannot ignore all the side characters - so many of them, but they're all memorable.
I'm totally in love with this show. The humour is catching, the food and the way the taste buds react to it is…
So nicely written but I actually think she needs to get back to the future - she wouldn't be happy otherwise as she left her father alone. I think she's somehow copying now as she's still pretty hopeful that it'll happen (regardless of any feelings she could have towards the king).
I feel like PSH is kicking punching the air right now with how well this has been received. IMO, it is not exceptionally…
I don't think PSH could give us this youthful charm whoch I thonk makes the story better (and you cannot even see the age difference between LCM and Yoona).
He’s completely awe-struck and smitten with her when she’s hitting and hugging him. The fact that he lets her touch him like that just shows he’s long gone and now there's no way back. Curious when both of them will be on the same page.
My thoughts on the time travel (I've posted it somwhere below in the comments): I was thinking - if they are experiencing this all again, will it not make for a different ending this time? On the other hand, we don't know how the previous version of the past happened to be and we cannot be sure that the story is repeating itself in the exact same way - we only know about the book that was written back then, the glimpse of which we had on the plane and now - who wrote it. We cannot even be sure if the ripple effect of all actions will ultimately change the future, i.e. we don't know if the changes occuring will be enough for such change.
I wonder why the FL's father suddenly asked her to retrive that book - it's like he knew something/is connected to their story somehow (apart from being a father obviously).
this is the line which legit triggered her going back to the past , she ( his beloved ) legit came back to him…

I know, kind of a boring comment - but it's so entertaining to watch them. So much chemistry! I really like how we sometimes get to see their thoughts about the same moment. Lee Chae Min’s facial expressions are fantastic and his intense gaze conveys his emotions so accurately.
Haven't had so much fun watching a rom-com drama in a long time.
At first, I didn't plan to watch this, but it's been so boring in the dramaland lately that I got curious. And it's fun! I laughed a lot and the banter is good so far. The king is cunning, but she's also not going to let him use her easily.
Gi Hun had no will to live - he was completely broken after his friend died. He survived the hide and seek game only because he was driven by a strong desire for revenge. Then, when he saw the baby, he made a resolution to protect it until the end. And he did. It seems he died on his own terms.

And they got me with that cute scene of their trip from the palace. Honestly, they’re so heart-fluttering together I’m losing my mind.
And how fast he learned how to read the signs!

And I'm curious whether she'll get her bag back.
