But hasn't he been a main part of the storyline since Episode 1?
I think they are mistaken that just because it is called Castaway Diva it is only about Mok Ha. But it's been about her, Ran Joo and Ki Ho from episode 1. All of them together are what have led the story to where it is.
I want to like this show so much. MLs are kinda cute together and Tul is a true ride or die and I love him for that. The pacing is absolutely wild though. Like we could definitely have montaged or time skipped our way into a dynamic that made sense for the story.
Interesting... They really said all "plot" no plot. 👀 I guess the last few minutes actually drove the story forward but some of those earlier scenes were a hard watch. Hoping the chemistry etc between the actors gets better as the show progresses and builds.
I really really want to give it a chance but agree with a large group of commenters that it feels hard to.
For me it's not really the cringe, it's more that the balance feels off between the level of energy / slapstick Jade has compared to everyone else around him. If we had even one other character near his level I think we'd get a really good dynamic with the other characters grounding the show.
You can pull it off with just one if you actually play up the tone changes, which they don't really do so far. At the moment when it switches from him it just feels like a hard jolt to me. Even while they're playing fun silly goofy music over a not that fun silly goofy scene.
Maybe in the end I'll figure out its just not for me. If so I hope the target audience enjoys!
I love time travel and parallel universes and I do really think the young actors do an incredible job but the flashbacks whyyy 😭
