Xianxia is my favourite out of every genre out there! It's something so magical it takes me to another dimension. Loved this article! Hope people who are hesitant about watching Xianxias watch them after reading this!
I honestly find people who rate this drama low because their ship wasn't endgame so petty. Like are they seriously belittling such a fun, heart-touching and excellently produced drama because of a character who loved Halmoni more than Dalmi?
If you haven't watched Go Ahead, please do it right now! My favourite drama of all time! You will not regret watching it. Highly rated dramas are rated so for a reason!
Aaah the ending was amazing! They went a little overboard with the breakup because they had to follow the webtoon but let's pretend it never happened! The wedding scene omg so perfect!
I love the PD so much. Even the extras in the drama aren't extras at all, they all have small but important roles in the story. Plus how they are always together no matter what. It's so amazing how he made True Beauty and Extraordinary You feel so different when they follow the same formula. Waiting for more of his dramas!
Lee Dohyun did such a good job acting as a father. His middle aged man stance and way of speaking was so on point. He is so handsome and talented. Can't wait to see more of him!
Loved the action and gore and honestly fell in love with Lee Shiyoung's super amazing body lol. But the new evil character and the ending didn't appeal to me like most cliffhangers do. Would watch the second season if it comes out but not really waiting for it. Poor Hyun Su did nothing but suffer.
So we gonna just act like this isn't SBS's attempt at Kingdom but on network tv budget. They could at least have…
Zombies in a saeguk setting doesn't belong to Kingdom. It was used in the movie Rampant as well which was extremely enjoyable. In Kingdom zombies were the result of a disease, here they are coming back as dead spirits. The story is completely different, don't ruin the show for everyone else by being an asshole here please.
Zombie elements in saeguk doesn't mean it's going to be the exact same as Kingdom. If you go by that logic you might as well compare all Korean modern zombie films to Train to Busan. The back story is obviously going to be different. What's there to complain about? It's going to be hella fun to watch anyway.
Thank you for the article, great ideas.I would like to disagree on only one minor point: Seo Ye Ji from IONTBO…
Great to see someone else who feels the same as me. Ko Moonyoung was just not it. Attempted murder and theft isn't stong or badass. Her past shouldn't excuse her present. Seems that liking loud, rude and rich FLs is a personality trait these days. Im Soo Hyang in Graceful Family and Son Yejin in CLOY were the only loud and rich FLs I loved. IU in Hotel del Luna to an extent because she was an immortal and her behaviour was explained. Bae Doona in Forest of Secrets and Choi Kang Hee in Good Casting are some FLs that I actually consider strong and independent. Plus there's nothing wrong with soft and dependant female leads. Hating on them for being that way is so immature.
Okayyyy, so is no one going to talk about the second couple? They are so sweet. I was so surprised that they got married first. Hubby is so protective and possessive of his wife, while still being his inattentive geeky self. So cute!
Am I the only one who thought the episodes were too fast paced? I did enjoy them though. The production is not as good as I thought it would be. A little low on budget I guess. Also the acting feels kinda artificial, you can clearly make out that they're 'acting'. They don't blend with the characters. Kim Bum the most, sadly. My favourite part was the flashback at the start of ep. 2! It felt like a fairytale.
