I lived in poor conditions for some time as child and teen. Doesnt matter how selfish you can be at that age you are not blind to the situation. My parents would put their pride aside if somebody was willing to help the moment they wouldn't be able to provide for my education. And my parents are so prideful, too prideful. His parents loved him and his brother, they wouldn't say no to a, lets say, a scholarship or no interest loan from some rich random person who wants to do charity to feel better. I could write a book called 1000 ways to help somebody from the shadows 😄 Bottom line, just lazy writing as anyway they were killing the mum and didnt want to spend too much time on this issue. I think if i write a post on how the ML is badly written i would be murdered from the fans 😅

He literally did so many things behind his grandfather and rich family back. He plotted and planned, he became richer and more powerful. His poor family needed little to keep them going on. Even if he made a fund to pay the uni to himself and his brother (he could go wild with different kind of scholarships) , he could have payed somebody to go and talk about a scholarship to the family. They would have not say no to that. I mean there is no justification, just lazy writing. The ML cant be super clever and stupid at the same time, but the writers think it is ok if it serves the plot. So at the end of the day we need to agree to disagree, dont see us changing our mind about this drama 😉 I'm now at ep 8, let's see what is gonna happen now 😁

my expectation bar now is lower so i think I'll enjoy the show more from now on 😄

I don't assume anything, I'm basing my point of view on the 6 ep i saw. Dont know if the mother killed herself in the original timeline, until now it seemed she had a heart attack from shock. I dont know how delusional or self-centered he was in the original timeline to think they were 'comfortable enough to pay uni fees', he wasn't a child than to be blind to the reality. As for the money there are many ways to give or help somebody, you can get creative, expecially when you are literally a millionaire. Maybe he just lacks imagination, maybe that is the reason 😅 he should have payed somebody to find a way to help them 😅

Exactly thats why i was disappointed as there were many other ways for him to help them so the writers should have done something more realistic if they wanted to use her character just as a catalyst for the revenge (i mean he was already going for it)

I dont understand why he didnt check on his family before the mother died. Why he didnt befriend himself and the family and than helped them in the moment of need as a friend. Im at ep 6 and im buffled

I'm at ep 6. I was enjoying the story until the mothers death for the second time. I find it hard to believe that the ML wouldnt do anything for years to help his very poor family. We are talking about a family so poor the mother couldnt affort clothes! There were so many ways he could insert himself in their lives at least as financial help but no, he just waited. He knew they were severely struggling even before the collapse of the place where he father worked. How could he go day by day without doing anything. Killing his mum was for the writers another reason for revenge but lets face it, being humiliated for years and than killed was enough. This was just bad writing. I would understand if his mums death was a point in timeline he couldn't change, but no. As well i never understood why he worked for that family in first place he didnt even make enough money as payment for working 24/7 and being treeted like a slave with no dignity. He had brains and capability, but no connections. Regardless he could have find another job and support his brother. His father could find a job in a shop, his brother could have worked part time in a fast food. I mean for me the premise is a bit odd and unrealistic expecially considering how much he changed when he was reborn. I mean you dont shed low self esteem like that, it is not that easy. I know it is a drama but I thought it would be better than it is. I'm still enjoying it and if it doesnt go too much downhill I'll rate it quite high 😁 ps. I know that being reborn isnt realistic either but still 😅🤣

It is nothing like the trailer, so disappointing, at least for me. The story is not interesting, the acting is just silly, the main characters are so one dimensional... I just cant accept it and sometimes i go back to try to watch it but to no avail... Doesnt look like something that can get any better. So if you watch few ep e you dont like it i dont think you will like it later as well 😕

Same. It is just so bad. If at least the main leads were well written and the story was bad i could go on, but everything except for the time era and the opening ost is terrible 🥺

I thought it will be only silliness no stop but I'm happy that it is not the case. Problem is i started watching expecting not to really like it, but I do and now i need to wait for the episodes 🥺

I'm at ep 18. Not really fan of the drama but i watch it on occasion when i dont have anything else going on. I thought it will be better than it is, as family law lawyer cases are just so boring and all of the secondary characters don't have any dept (and some are really cringe to watch). Now I'm reading that the last episodes are not good and i dont really know if i want to continue something that is not that amazing in the first place.😕 The imaginary kiss scene in ep 18 was annoying as well, why do that in first place 🤷🏼‍♀️ just develop the relationship no need for those cheap tricks

She has a nice character there too, great chemistry with the ML (Chen Xingxu) 😊 one of my favourites c-dramas

I'm at ep 9 now and I'm enjoying it much more than at the beginning. My secret is to skip the brother and his wife and some other unnecessary scenes. I wish the show had less episodes, in that way it wouldn't have so many boring and lenghty filler scenes that don't bring anything to the plot or to the development of the characters

I dont understand what is his mums problem as he is earning the money and providing for them too while doing smart working 😅 while would he go in an office and work for somebody 🤷🏼‍♀️ my only explanation would be that something happened to him and he is hiding in the house and she wants him to heal and have a life or something like that and having a bad approach about it. I am at ep 4. The ML and FL are ok and have some kind of chemistry, but they are not the problem. The problem with this drama IMHO is ALL the other characters, everything feels ridiculous and over the top. Expecially her sister in law/ friend with her sick obsession with a sleezy guy who wants to leave her and she is there being all patetic and violent about it, accompanied with some comedic music like the scenes are funny... I was waiting for this drama, but I confess i was disappointed, still I'm not dropping it as maybe it will get better, so I'm watching it in background while doing other stuff. Western equivalent of this drama for me is maybe Hallmark movies, maybe i was expecting something a little more serious and thats why i cant really enjoy it, who knows. But I'm hoping it will peak up and prove me wrong so I'm not giving up on it, it has potential if you only concentrate on the main characters and ignore all the rest. Ps.The dressing style in this drama is supposed to be stylish and posh... not by my standards but dont want to judge what is maybe stylish somewhere else, so in general the overall dressing style is tacky for my liking

I really thought they will not punish him and was already preparing myself to get angry, but luckily not the case 😅 even if his future worst evil deeds never materialised in the actual timeline

They are such a bad pairing. Hopefully whatever his dreams are they are never gonna back together, she needs to work on herself and they both need different kind of peope in theor lives. Very ill matched

The only thing i wished is for them to give us a bit of ML point of view in the ending, him finally waking up in his bed with her on his side as he always wanted in 2022. But anyway we got the sofa scene, even if it was more catering her experience, but considering what horrible ending i was expecting this HE is fine by me 🤣😅
