Why is the main poster on MDL so.... basic and boring? If i didn't know the ML and didn't watch the trailer... I would never even read the synopsis of this show 😅

I literally love this complete opposite between the comedy and very serious drama, weirdly it works well in this drama. I dont think i would have enjoyed if it was just one or another. But I understand the combination is not the best for everybody 😐 so it is difficult to choose if you like it or not 😅

The King is very attractive and captivating to watch. And the comedy part is funny too 😁😅 I love the second lead as well, but the King is just 🥵, I understand the FL for falling for him even when his heart was with another. I wish they didnt do the usual love triangle and that they gave a different love interest to the 2ml, he deserves to be loved back by somebody 🥲 Hate triangles so much

The poster is horrible. I started watching the show because i was bored and nothing else was on. I thought it was just another light comedy abd didnt think i would watch past the first episode. How wrong i was 😅🤣 I love this show ❤ when the king goes in paranoia mode it reminded me of the King in The Crowned Clown. The Queen made me think of the Queen in that show too, very proper and serious

I think somebody killed her because she was so important to him, they wanted him unhinged and to make him crazy so he can be easily overthrown 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel bad for him and I like him, but unfortunately the fact that he obsessed over her just because he saw her once and heard 2 things she said was very underwhelming for me. If he at least fell for her the second time by spending time with her WITHOUT knowing who she was i would have root more for him. They wrote so well the King and Queen relationship (even if it is only in King's point of view), i just wish they did more for the 2ml 🥲 The King and the FL ongoing relationship is much more interesting and intense to watch

She knew something is wrong with the incense but maybe she didnt understand what it was as you say. I think it is that and her putting her guard down because he is an eunuch. As sometimes she is seeing him as more than an eunuch (when she thought he wanted a kiss) and sometimes not (when she describe their relationship as sisters). Ps as well eunuchs can feel attraction towards somebody, they can get intimate and seek for affection. Not sure about the level of sexual desire with very low levels of testosterone (probably depends on what and how much was cut 🤷🏼‍♀️).

I thought the show will be so much more darker and serious than it is. So i dont know what to expect 😄 how serious will it be??? I don't know 😅 but i like this feeling

Yes, i find weird his reaction too. He is only thinking how unlucky he is, how bad things happen to him bla bla bla. He just killed a child, he should think how unlucky that child is! I find him very self-absorbed but at least the FL is alive because of him 😅 he will probably be one of those people always justifing his own bad behaviour and blaming others for it

I loved LBFAD and I rated it high as a xianxia. If i judge it like an overall drama it wouldnt have been so good. As well I hate when they make women clueless and super naive. I'm enjoying the FL much more here because she doesnt have an annoying voice, the character is not airheaded and the actress is nice. Never saw another drama with her, not that I remember. I like both the leads and I'm hoping they will develop well their relationship

Dont think it is love yet, it is too soon. But he is starting to like her in some way, he likes her company and her overall behaviour as she is very different from him. She makes him feel human i guess and makes his days less dimm, but he doesnt realise any of these. As for her she finds him obviously attractive, but she is still not feeling safe and she is trying to survive long term, she is not thinking at all about men and as well he is an eunuch in her eyes, powerful and in a very dangerous position. She wants to be lazy, safe and have a no stress life, he is everything she would never want. Until she does 😅

The Prince/Empreror feels like a villain in making (or hiding), he is so obsessed with himself... I am seriously buffled as if it was a more dark show i would 100% think he is an evil character, but in in this case I'm not sure because i dont know how clever or serious this show is 😅🤣 need more episodes! NOW! 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I was thinking the same, expecially when he killed the little Prince by mistake. His reaction to it and the aftermath of it was a bit weird. He looks self-centered too... but not sure if I'm reading some stuff too much in depth. I'm still not sure how serious this show is. Regardless i like the show and i like the FL too. The music is definetely not memorable

Me too as it was less serious than i expected it to be, but I'm liking it quite a lot and cant wait for the next set of episodes

From the trailer it looked more dark and serious, but it is just a period romance with some drama, i guess. Still i am enjoying it. I like the leads, don't understand all the hate the FL gets, she is nothing less or more than other chinese actresses. To me it seems she is doing exactly what the director want her to do. As for her character, at least she is not childish like her maid and she is not stupid. I had more problems to digest the over the top Fairy from the other show with the same ML 😅 Still i loved that show at the end. Anyways I'm surprisingly enjoying this one too even if it is quite different from what i expected. I like the set and the costumes too, as for the OST it is not really memorable. I have no problem with main characters, i like them, but i do hope they will develop them more in the future

My niece is interested in investment banking. When she went to a 'future work event' and asked what is the road to get there they told her it is about the name of the university (they listed which ones in the country) and the grades. As well extracurricular activities, even charity work, it is all a bonus🤷🏼‍♀️. You learn the rest on the spot as a junior. So finishing law school is fine too. He can do business school after. Ps. Obviously some people are on fast track with family names, connections, but they don't tell you that 😒 so in the ML case he doesnt really need anything he is already IN.
