Keigo will go down in history as second lead with more screen time the love interest SoraWhen did Sora show up…
Mmmm, I think he's saying that he's had plastic surgery. Why else do the thing with the picture? Which means he's made himself who he wants to be. But if he's deliberately chosen to be the "look at me, aren't I amazing, are you mesmerized by me, yet" kinda dude due to improving his face through plastic surgery, then yeah, not cheering for him. That's the primary reason I don't watch K-dramas. But we'll see what happens. I haven't watched ahead since I need to wait for subtitles.
Regardless, Keigo thinks Manaha standing in front of a crowd at a beauty pageant is going to "fix" her or "help" her in some way. Even when she doesn't want to. He was super pushy in episode 4. But Sora thinks she's awesome the way she is and that she doesn't have to prove herself to anybody. And he apologized for his behavior in episode 1 (yes, he did appear in episode 1, not episode 2). To me, he's the better man. And so far, he's had more screen time with Manaha than Keigo in the last couple of episodes. Maybe we'll get lucky and for the first time ever in my experience with dramas, the SML will actually get the girl. Since this is the first time that she should end up with the SML.
And here's why I think that. Strength is in finding what you're good at it and doing it. That's why Sora took her to meet his sister. Because she found something she was amazing at and loved doing outside of the whole beauty pageant thing. He wants to see Manaha shine, and not through the fake shine of external beauty that pageants focus on.
Keigo is a weak ML and he's going up against a strong SML. He's toast. Even if Keigo gets the girl in the end, it would have to be through some lame sabotage of Sora by the authors. Which would suck but is what I'm expecting. Sorry you don't like Sora much (at least that's what I'm getting from your response). But that's your choice. We'll see what happens. I don't hate Keigo. But I don't like him either. And it has nothing to do with how he looks. It's how he behaves.
Ehhhhhhh????? More reason to dislike Keigo. He's trying to support Manaha, but in all the wrong ways. I did not like him at all in this episode, whereas my love for Sora just keeps growing. I mean, come ON, wasn't he awesome in episode 4?!
This drama deserves at least 8.9. one of the best school dramas and one of the best shows about philosophy I have…
I know what you mean. I'm getting used to Jdramas being underrated on MDL, but still, it's frustrating when there's a drama like this that isn't rated what it should be.
Let's just say that if you don't care for the 2013 drama series, and wish there was a more likable version out there, then you might just like this movie. I haven't watched the sequels yet so I can't speak into them, but the first film is very cute. Naoki is warmer, Kotoko isn't as stupid, and it made me realize that the Mischievous Kiss plot is better suited to movie length than drama series length. You don't have enough time to get angry. Kudos to Kanta Sato for making me like Naoki. I didn't think that was possible.
Hm... Eh... I'm sorry Itagaki Mizuki has way too much sex appeal and charisma to be anyone's second choice let…
Yep, he's got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more charisma than the ML. I'm shipping Sora and Manaha so much in this drama, even though I'm sure it will end in heartbreak. *sigh*
So, so fun! Campy, yes, but it's absolutely supposed to be. I just laughed so much, what a fun and silly little gem of a spy movie. Plus, Kame in a fedora . . . yes, please!
I'm going to be real here, if not for the eye candy that is Kazuya Kamenashi, I wouldn't have watched this drama.…
That's a shame because this really is an absolutely adorable drama that showcases Kamenashi's comedic skills. It's supposed to be cute and fun and family-friendly. It also has some great messages about perseverance and discipline.
It's better to just skip a drama if you think you won't actually like it than watch it just because it has your favorite actor in it. Case in point, I love Christian Bale but you couldn't pay me to watch all of his movies because I know there are some I will hate because they're not to my taste. Just sayin'.
An excellent drama, super engaging. If you don't like dark comedies with the comedy being quite a bit over the top, then that probably isn't for you. It's also a bit on the gruesome side, like, ewww. But great performances by everyone. Kudos to my man, Tomoya Nakamura!
The Code Blue franchise is an interesting medical drama from Japan, too. Although I don't know how accurate it is since I'm not in the medical profession.
Love Kamenashi but the idea here is creepy. Especially after the scandal that he and Yamashita were embroiled in last year. I wonder how often teen girls do this in real life, passing as adults. Probably more often than we want to think about.
I guess this wouldn't be a Japanese movie if somebody didn't die at the end. Most romance related movies from…
I think his death depends on where the knife wound hit. If you plunge a knife into just the right spot, you'll go into shock (not being able to really move) and the blood loss can be enormous, which is pretty much what happened to him. So that didn't seem unrealistic at all, it's just that the killer knew what he was doing and where to strike.
