Another sexless BL. Where's the desire? I saw no chemistry between these two.
It didn't need sex. Their emotional connection was more than enough. This might just be me, but I'm thinking that BL is going overboard with the sex so it's waaaaaaay oversaturated and people are just expecting NC scenes now. I just enjoyed this one for its story and the relationship. I didn't need anything more. I like that this one was PG and oh, so sweet.
There's also Jdramas "Buzzer Beat" and "Orange Days" that both involve classical violin. "Buzzer Beat" is adorable in many ways and still holds strong today even though it's been around 15 years since it was released. I like sports dramas too, so I love that this pairs basketball and classical music. So fun.
This was an excellent series that ran true to form with a lot of Japanese stories. I appreciate that the guys are more than simply in love with each other. They have personalities and the story is deeper than that. Our love lives should be a component of who we are, but not the entirety.
And I feel for Maya. I ended up really liking her character since she's more complex than just a third wheel and I feel like she had some crucial involvement in both Kohei and Taichi taking important steps.
This one's a winner, in every respect. I felt so calm watching it, one of the things I value about watching Japanese dramas.
Wait. Why? I'm not really caught up in stuff. I only started discovering BLs, and the actors about a year or two…
Saint was part of a ship with Zee in 2020 that didn't work out. They were in Why RU together, so it would be really awkward for them to act together now. Not that he would have been in this series anyway, but still, it would have been fun to see Saint act with Boon and Boss. :-)
Love the whole omegaverse thing! It's a fun kink to see and I like how everything about this series is different. Even Charlie and Babe being the reverse of what a lot of viewers wanted. I like them in the order they're in since it is different and I think the actors did a great job selling the heat. Thrilled for season 2!
Tht was the point. If they wanted to make Charlie look like an real alpha, they would
Agreed. I like that Charlie doesn't fit the alpha expectation. It makes him unusual and I like that about him. Already feeling a good chemistry between Babe and Charlie and I guess that's really what matters in the end.
Ooh, sounds intriguing! Have to give this one a try. I already know that Prem's actually a pretty fabulous actor and I suspect this one will really showcase his skill in new ways.
I'm thinking I need to rewatch this one. I binged it the first time through and I absolutely loved it, but watching it again and savoring it sounds like an excellent plan for part of my September.
So cute! I had almost no expectations for it other than that it would be fun and it was. It's nothing majorly serious, but you can tell that Boun and Prem had a blast making it. Prem especially seemed to just love being so extra. I laughed so much, so glad I watched it.
Wish the subs on IQIYI were better, though. Yikes, they are terrible.
bounprem i lobe you but it seems bad bc ppl say so.. im sorry
It's actually just a fun and silly drama. I loved it because it didn't take itself seriously and the guys were hilarious. The subtitles are pretty bad though, yeah. That was a shame.
I hate bon appetit in particular as a translation because it assumes an English audience understands that reference,…
100%
I was just in Sweden which primarily everyone speaks English as a second language and their emergency number is 112. And I guess it's 999 in England. It doesn't have to be American context all the time for subtitles! And "bon appetit" is just absurd for the same reasons you mentioned. Glad to know I'm not alone! <3
