As a woman, I tend to dislike female characters that have all my personality flaws or what I consider to be weaker…
That's the internet now, unfortunately. I have no idea how old you are, but 20 years ago the internet was much kinder. It's just sad reality that haters are going to be vocal because they can be, not because they should be. Keep loving the things you love and try to ignore the negativity, if you can. Anyway, it's been nice chatting.

Oh, I see what you mean. I think. I do that sometimes if a role is by an actor I like. It's human nature to defend what we love and be blind to it. I'm not saying that's a good thing or a bad thing, it just is. I'll watch my favorite actors play almost any role and love it. Never mind character flaws at that point.

I don't know if it's too late to say this because this drama aired a long time ago (I would make sure I repeat…
As a woman, I tend to dislike female characters that have all my personality flaws or what I consider to be weaker traits. The things I dislike the most about myself are usually trends I can't stand in fictional characters (not always the case, but usually). So that might be what you're seeing, unaddressed issues with their own personality traits.

I think you misunderstand the mdl system. From what i observed, most of the time mdl watchesrs don't give much…
Your theory about mostly bad dramas only works with Kdramas or Cdramas. Most Thai lakorns are lucky to get 4,000 people interested, period and forget about Japan getting more than 2,000 unless it's a manga adaptation. It doesn't mean the dramas are bad, just that MDL isn't watching. I pay little to no attention to viewer counts other than being sad that other people havn't found or tried an amazing drama.

is this good?
You'll get a myriad of responses. But for someone who is only 2 episodes in, my answer is yes, it's good so far. And you should give it a try for yourself to see if you like it. I like Thai Lakorns and knowing it had a nice female lead, I knew I would probably enjoy it. And I love Thai remakes, so there's that.
On Put Your Head on My Shoulder Sep 27, 2022
Really enjoying the Thai version already. I liked the Chinese version, but it ended up being forgettable for me. The Thai version has a lot of heart to it so far, a lot of sincerity, just what I've come to appreciate in Thai Lakorns.

Not nearly as good as the Chinese version but still enjoyable
For me, the best thing about Thai remakes is that they do their own thing. They're usually not cookie cutter copies and I love that put their own spin. Like here. I love the spin more than the original!

should be interesting but def agree with another commenter re: story adaptation. it's also so quintessentially…
Ahhh, your profile explains everything. Good to know.

I don't know what you've seen her in but I didn't think she was obnoxious in Manner Of Death if you haven't seen…
Nope, haven't seen that. I might give it a try, thanks.

I will for sure. This is my fav book and I have seen it’s every single remake. My only worry is, I don’t trust…
You've given me a reason to not watch the newest "Persuasion." The trailer was enough to make me hate it, but you've confirmed my original suspicion. Poor Jane Austen, new adaptations malign her so much.
On Meiko Chonnikan Netjui Jul 28, 2022
Question. Has she ever played a non obnoxious role? Like, just a genuinely sweet and nice girl? I genuinely want to know because if I don't see her in a nice role soon, I'm going to hate her going forward and it's going to tarnish anything she might do in the future.
Raiko_101 Jul 28, 2022
Hi, so, Sing Again is not a Thai BL, it's most definitely a Lakorn. I can say that because I'm currently watching it. So you should probably take it off this list.

I appreciate your thoughts but you need to change your phrase to either Japan or JP or Jdrama. What you used is a very old racial slurr, though I'm sure you used it unintentionally.

Not sure, but it's going to be on Netflix. They've got it in their "coming soon" queue.
They might release it worldwide, fingers crossed for you.

I'm so sorry, but I'm not sure. They might put it on their India Netflix at some point, or perhaps you could request it. It's a Netflix Original so it really won't be available outside that platform (or it shouldn't be anyway).

Same. Another Saint one (and Fiat who is another one of my favorite actors).
I've got a couple of Fiat's dramas in my to-watch list. I haven't seen him in anything yet, but I'm looking forward to trying some of his work. And of course, yes, super excited for Saint.

Title Sing Again Spoiler
I love Saint but I'm thinking it's going to be Talay too. However, I don't know if I'm going to like the new version…
That's neat you have a friend you're watching with! I'm the only one in my circle who watches Thai lakorns so it's fun chatting with you too.

I also wouldn't want Sol in a relationship where the girl's father is that abusive to his underlings. He's a scary guy and clearly on a power trip. I wouldn't wish him as a father-in-law on anyone. I think any relationship Nazzy could potentially have is going to fail for the very reason you listed. Adulting isn't her strength.

Someone needs to run intervention with Sol and help him get the drinking under control. Not that it wasn't a funny scene because it was and showcases Saint's comedic side, which I love. But, drowning sorrows in alcohol isn't the way.

I'm kind of glad we have 12 episodes left. It'll give the series time to hopefully make some wiser choices for its characters. So looking forward to the next couple of episodes!

Ok, I finished ep 6. What are your thoughts?

I like Ray a lot. He makes me curious about what happened with his band in the US. I think he's good for Piano, although I do think she's got some rebounding going on, but if you're going to rebound, Ray's a good guy to do it with. I would like to see him and Sol have a conversation, actually. And I liked the conversation that Sol had with Sun. That seems like a very real thing someone grieving would do.

Sol, yeah, he's a mess. I think that's probably why Saint took the role. He seems to like playing characters that are a bit of a mess and he does it well. I'm frustrated by the whole missing cell phone thing, and she'll think he didn't text her back, etc. Lots of miscommunication coming, I'm sure. Nazzy seems to have empathy until she doesn't. It's weird. People are usually genuine or not and she seems to ride the fence. Her manipulation tactics are frustrating, but then I hate seeing people get manipulated anyway, so yeah.

I'm invested in the series now and have no intention of quitting. I have to know what happens!

So far, I loathe her. If that was their goal, they've succeeded.
