I love Saint but I'm thinking it's going to be Talay too. However, I don't know if I'm going to like the new version…
Well, I'm 16 minutes into episode 6 and had to stop so I wouldn't get mad. Nazzy is giving me serious creeper vibes. She reminds me of the creeper best friend in the Cdrama "Brightest Star in the Sky." Her manipulations came about as close to sexual assault as I'd ever seen before from a female character and Nazzy is giving me that same vibe. She seems like she would take advantage of Sol while he's drunk and I am so not ok with that.
Otherwise, yes, I'm liking Ray. He's tougher than Sun, and smarter in healthier ways. But I'm not liking Piano as much. I feel like she was over-indulged all through her childhood and teen years and we're seeing the self-centered result of that now. She didn't have any right to chase Sol away from dinner with his mother and sort of new "brother" by being such a brat. I'll finish episode 6 tonight probably, once I've gotten some emotional distance from it. I hate that Sol's drinking.
I have not watched the korean version so which version should I watch? I don't have time to watch both, since…
Honestly, it's going to depend on whether you like Thai Lakorns or not or are expecting them to be exactly like Kdramas. If you have enjoyed Lakorns in the past, then you probably want to try the Thai version first and then Korean version. I find that a lot of folks who watch primarily Kdramas aren't going to like Thai Lakorns, it's just how it is. I don't watch Kdramas, so I love Thai Lakorns. And I'll watch the Thai version of Voice before I would watch the Kdrama version.

VPN is definitely handy! ;-) I'm in N America too so it's interesting trying to track down currently airing Thai Lakorns. I'm hoping maybe Netflix will start picking up more Thai Lakorn programming, but right now they do seem to have a lot in the horror/supernatural genre for Thailand. I've got my fingers' crossed they might expand their horizons at some point and just give us some more Lakorns like this. I like supernatural stuff, but there's so much more to Lakorns than that.

Yeah, I totally agree, not loving Nazzy. She's just so strange. Maybe she'll calm down later! One can hope, but I would like to think Sol has somewhat higher standards. Maybe he'll see something in her that I just don't yet. Good to know that about Ray. I'm hoping to watch eps 5 and 6 in the next couple of days so that's something positive to go into them with.
I know it’s gonna be Saint end game due to the fact he’s the bigger star here but damned if I don’t want…
I love Saint but I'm thinking it's going to be Talay too. However, I don't know if I'm going to like the new version of Sun, so they might be a bad fit. I just want Saint as Sol to have a happy ending that I don't hate. That's all I'm asking. I still need to watch ep 5.
Just finished it.Captivating, thrilling, impactful.*insert lady gaga interview here*This should be watched by…
Alas, it's probably not popular because it's Thai, but not 100% BL. But that's the way the ball bounces for Thai Lakorns. Your thoughts make me want to watch it so I'll make time for it this year.
Not terrible, started at 1:1 copy, yet they took some lessons and improved last episodes, but still not even close…
And that's fine, it's all subjective opinion anyway, the fact I like the Thai version better and a lot folks do, but more prefer the Korean version because it's what they saw first or because they just prefer the Kdrama style. Off and Jeen are much more my style than Bong Pal and Hyun Ji. Characterization aside, I like how the villain was handled here better, the whole bracelet arc, the purpose of the SFL had a much bigger part to play, etc. I still like most of the secondary characters from the K version better though. But at the end of the day, I just like Thai remakes, that's all. They put their own twist on stories, tend to be a little grittier from what I've observed so far, and I love that. I'm also a Saint fan, probably until the day I draw my last breath, so there's that little hurdle too.
A Thai version is never going to threaten a Korean version of anything anyway so I'm always a bit surprised at how vehemently some fans dislike Thai remakes. It seems a bit unfair really, sort of like a Star Wars fan hating on Star Trek. I'm sure it happens, but my thought is why? Live your life and let the Star Trek fans have their fandom.
After seeing the trailer, I was really looking forward to this. I think the story itself about the characters…
I agree with you about Sun. I want to like him, but his immaturity aggravates me. He's one step away from "if I can't have her, no one will." But Sol irritates me with his lack of self-confidence. He seems to succeed in so many ways, but he's very unsure of himself. Still, it's Saint, so I love him anyway.
Why are Japanese movies/dramas so cheesy? Not to mention the robotic acting. I thought this was an old movie,…
Would you say the same thing about American movies if you only saw Twilight? Don't judge the entire country's entertainment industry by one teen drama.
You are allowed to have a preference. But you said "then it's not good" not "then it's not for me." That's where the issue arises. There are a lot of things that aren't for me, but I try not to imply that it's not good just because I'm not interested. That might be something to consider in the future. I see that you did edit your response to reflect that it's not for you and I think that was smart. For what it's worth, you might still consider trying Thai Lakorns someday. They're amazing, but that is just my preference. Be well.

What's MOTB? That's one I haven't heard of. PS I Hate You sounds good.

And I'm just going to say it. Saint is super sexy here. Love it.
