On Love Me If You Dare Oct 23, 2015
This has got to be my favourite drama. And I NEVER watch a drama before it's completed. I couldn't help myself with this one. I watched the 2 subbed on viki, but I could't wait so I watched the next 2 RAW. For me, that is a testimony of how good the story and production quality is here.

For anyone who's interested, here's a link to a teaser trailer. it's long and reveals a lot if you looked at the 1st 2 episodes, but it's worth sharing because it helped me get over my impatience for this drama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFhl46qBY5s

Anyone can tell me which drama to watch after Prince of Lan Ling? I liked PLL because of the numerous and chem-tastic…
I'm saving that for a dry spell. I hear it's great and who could pass up Ha Jo Won and Jo Chang Wook

The costuming was horrid - her princess dress came out of last century's quinceanera. The designer must have gotten the post by nepotism or something because that wasn't the only costuming problem. The GCI and scenery too was beyond horrific. I wasn't expecting flawless or well done, but a little standard would be appreciated. The characters.... well, let's not talk about that. I enjoyed the storyline though, but I skipped a lot. The story was enough to hold me for about 20 episodes but after that, omg, I just had to skip to get to the plot points and to not scar my eyes or brain with the production quality. The budget must have been big for this but it wasn't used wisely. Something was wrong with the scenes and their execution too. Very little in this was well done.

After reading your review, you made a lot of things slot into place for me. He's isn't able to suitably convey…
I don't agree that he isn't suitable, just that he puts too much comedy in the romantic aspect. I like comedy so I don't mind. I do mind when the writing and characterization is bad -- as it was in 7th Grade.
And the thing with 7th Grade being a flop is that his wasted characterization led to a wasted plot too. Even Joo Won's own character Kim Ho Ryong from "Special Investigation Unit" or Lee Tae Ho in "Catch Me", if mixed well with his playboy aspect in this show, could have impacted a lot more. I'm looking specifically at characterization because that is what drives these dramas.
Did you try "Catch Me"? That one was good. The romance was well done too, and there was great acting by the female lead and Joo Won. I ship that romance lol.

Title Cruel City Spoiler
okay its been a week and i can't get over this ... I NEED...NO..THERE MUST BE A SEASON 2!!!!!!
The romance isn't in your face, but it's more subtle. It actually bleeds into every scene whether the couple is together on-screen or not. It's strong but not obvious. I think it's more poignant that way. And if you listen to the music, you'll understand just how important the OTP are to each other. I would like to see the actors continue their work together.

I'm watching it, on episode 5. I like this progression in their relationship and OMG, I did not expect to ship this ship so hard. Lee Jong Suk makes this an easy watch.

I'm watching this and I'm enjoying myself. However, I had to pause because this delivers anxiety attacks. this show keeps raising my blood pressure, sending it down, then making it sky-rocket again. Uncomfortable!

Title Ghost
I second the comment under this. Is there any romance? If yes, do they get together by the end?

I want to watch this, based solely on Seo In Guk and Lee Soo Hyuk's acting. But the story has to be worthy too, and I also am hesitant of noona romances. Is this worth it to watch, anyone? Is it good enough that I might like it?

You know there is something wrong with a drama when you want the bad guy to win over everyone else, want more…
I *sigh* with you. I liked them better than the lead pair. I though Gwi truly loved her and she had at least some understanding of him.

Maybe you're agreeing because even with Lee Jun Gi, this drama was somewhat of a disappointment and the most interesting character happened to be the bad guy. I agree we needed a backstory. And I would have loved if he'd ended up with the Queen in the end.

I am not trying to hate here, I really wanted to love this drama (Lee Jun Ki and Shin Min Ah, what could go wrong?)…
I don't think anyone wants to spoil that here. I'll send you a message though lol. This ending really shouldn't be spoiled though, but I know how tough it is. You should give this drama another chance. It's too funny (in my opinion) to pass up.

I'm glad that Xia Mo ends up with the guy I was rooting for, but boy was it frustrating along the way! I'm not…
I was on the right ship then. Thanks.

I loved Cruel City 100times! Healer was a must for every Kdrama fan. The writing and acting there was excellent. And Bridal Mask was cool too. I have to check out Kurosagi though. I have good hopes for it seeing as it's grouped with my favourite shows.

Please spoil it. Who did she end up with? I want to be on the right ship before taking off.

You know there is something wrong with a drama when you want the bad guy to win over everyone else, want more screen time with him, and prefer to see him over any of the 'good guys'. It helps that he's hotter than everyone else too.
You also know something is wrong when you just can't get into the romance of the leads, or even care for their story and their mission. All I want to see is Gwi's pretty face and superb acting. All the ingredients for an excellent drama were there, but it was still truly bland.

Right now, I'm in this boat... Since Healer and Kill Me, Heal Me ended I've been pretty unimpressed with what…
Watch Nine Times Time Travel. That show helped me get over Healer and Heartless City because it's just as addictive and the writing is excellent.

Going through this after watching Prince of Lan Ling. I'm searching high and low for another romance like it, but alas.... none exists quite yet. Will be rewatching.
