Actually, it's the other way around. The ML's aunt is married to the FL's uncle (her father's younger brother). The aunt came back to live with her family (Lu family) after her husband died.

Me too! His acting is good for a newcomer, his visual is unique, and his voice sounds nice too.

I recommend "Back from the Brink". Everything is so good, the acting, the visual, the chemistry.
Although I haven't finished "Dashing Youth", but I think he looks best here in term of visuals.

I adore Bai Jiu so much!! But for safety reasons we really need to turn down the volume by half. LOL

While I do enjoy watching the drama, I can somehow understand why the general viewers would use the double speeding. There are some parts that are a little too slow, adding the quite slow speaking (I have no problem with it) and the whispering of most of the characters (except Bai Jiu?), it can make people feel impatient / lose interest a bit.

I don't have problem with the filters. It's actually pretty nice to see something different from the usual cdramas we have nowadays. What I don't like is the color scheme chosen for the wardrobe. It's so vivid, so colorful. It feels like there are 100 colors in one frame.

Just finished rewatching this drama (again).
After the first watch I felt like it's just a bit better than okayish drama, but I keep coming back and rewatching, and I like it more and more. The main couple's interaction and relationship somehow make my heart feel warm.

I think the problem lies pretty much with the makeup and styling. Zhang Han looked very good in Boss & Me, which should be filmed around the same time as this one or maybe a bit earlier.
Park Min Young looked very cute here, despite some not-so-pretty wardrobe.

If you don't mind that everything looks so outdated + bad wardrobe & styling, this is quite fun to watch. The ML acts silly in the first few episodes, but he is actually very clever.
The machine-generated subtitles make it quite difficult to understand. Watching this one makes me realize I can understand chinese much more than I thought. LOL
